There once lived a wizard who would give up everything when asked for. After giving up all the valuable possessions he had, he met a fox. The fox was sly and wanted to trick the wizard. The wizard would give and do whatever the fox asked of.
Having spent years together, the fox got tired. It asked the wizard for his arm. Then eventually nothing apart from his soul was left.
The fox regretted eating the wizard, after all it had spent many years with him. But greed knew no end as the fox devoured the wizard's soul.
The soul was something destructive, it raged inside the fox's tiny body. Every inch wanted to self-destruct. To calm the soul digesting, the fox had to kill itself.
The wizard's soul was freed and started roaming across the lands.

"Grandma! That story was awesome! But why did the fox feel regret?"
A boy that looked about 8 years old asked.
"That's because all things are locked with emotions. They are laced and polished with emotions they'd never wanted. The wizard was a terribly foolish man, but he was forced to be."
Although the boy couldn't quite understand what his grandma was saying, he got the gist of it. Soon his expression changed to admiration.
The 8 year old boy turned and looked above. There laid the sky, sprinkled with numerous stars.

The boy had pitch black hair and eyes that shined brightly. His grandma was a wrinkly old lady.
The grandma continued to talk,
"This world is magical. There is no meaning because it is magical. When you grow up i will eventually perish and be one with the sky. These stars will be what's to come of me."
The boy didn't show any change in his expression, his eyes were still sparkling.
"Then, once you die grandma, I'll inherit all your wealth and I'll travel across the land, then I'll be able to retrieve your soul from the stars!
The grandma chuckled, her expression distorted.
" how foolish you are.. Once a person's soul connects with a star there is no retrieving it. The wizard's soul never connected because it had done no sin in this life."
She paused for a moment then continued.
"I have committed many sins, you are one of the many."
The boy was confused, his expression slightly angered.
"Grandma! I'm not a bad person! But grandma, why was the wizard's soul destructive? I really wanted to ask this earlier but whenever you mentioned the wizard you didn't look good.."
"The wizard's destiny wasn't to be a good person. But he changed fate, his emotions were laced by an angel and his soul, craved by a devil."
The boy was silent, after he thought for a while he soon gave a reply,
"Why did the angel lock his emotions and lace them with a layer? Did the angel feel pity?"
"Angels aren't beings capable of being pitiful, neither are devils. According to the legends, the wizard had helped the angel before he was even born. To put it simply, across dimensions when the wizard was a different person he had once helped this angel. Angels are beings capable of crossing dimensions, you mustn't forget. "
The boy looked confused, but was still feeling admire for the man.
" Then..why can't i cross dimensions? If i can't.. Then can i become an angel? "
The grandma giggled out,
" boy, how pitiful you are. You can't cross dimensions because you have a soul. Becoming an angel.. No such thing exists, those mythical beings are primordial. They'll live eternally and carry their work faithfully. "
The boy showed no pity nor was he angry this time. He just looked at the vast sky.
