Jake rolled out of bed to the tune of Mozart his older brother Josh poked his head in the door
"hurry up dweeb you're going to be late"
"coming " I yelled back I glanced at the clock, damn its 7AM already guess I got to lay off the snooze button, I headed to the bathroom took a shower than and rushed downstairs grabbing a bagel and running out the door my best friend Mason was outside on his bike.
"Yo JJ you're never going to believe it there is going to be a solar eclipse today my dad said it's been 100 years since the last one we should watch it from my parents barn it's going to be epic."
Jake had never seen an eclipse before and something about them gave him chills and made him think of a certain vin diesel flick

" yea I was thinking about your sister in the nude" I said climbing on my bike and we headed down my driveway and onto the long county road that led straight to my school.

Mason and I arrived just in time, the school was only about a 15-minutes bike ride from home. As we ran to our lockers to grab our books a large figure appeared from around the hallway with a sick smile O Joy my favorite teenage psychopath
"Hey loser! did you miss me? Bo Brackman the son of the Governer a rich snob who loved to bully those weaker than him
"Hey Bo looks like we are in the same grade now must be a new record to fail the same grade 2 times in a row"

Bo Brackmanns family practically ran this town his father Was the mayor and also the richest man in town owning several refineries and a hotel chain my father was the night supervisor at the one of his hotels
"You leave my father out of this I said anger coloring my voice" Jakes father worked hard his mother had fallen ill about a year ago and was no longer able to work without his father's income they wouldn't survive

Good morning Mr. Griffin how you are doing today? Jake asked the school janitor who happened to turn the corner about 30 minutes later
"Mr. Griffin I'm flattered by your attention but you're not my type i deadpanned" as he started helping me and Mason down from our lockers.
"Would you prefer to keep hanging around with Mr. Mason here?" he deadpanned back
"No, please get me down" I said hurriedly"
the bell ring and students started to fill the hallway laughing at us and pointing.
Just then Olivia Obrian walked by and my soul dropped through a crack in the earth where i burned with utter embarrassment
"umm Hi Jake is everything ok?" she asked with a face of concern her beautiful angelic face peering at me Mr. Griffin had managed to get us down off the lockers just as she was walking by i was sure she saw I stuttered a hurried " "yea umm great, see you later" before rushing off with Mason and heading to the bathroom
I hated Bo so much he had been bullying me since elementary and no matter how I tried to avoid him he would always find ways to make my life miserable one day I swear I was going to pay him back for it the only silver lining was I got to see my best pal Mason every day and of course Olivia I headed to the bathroom and fixed my clothes splashing water on my face and heading to 1st period.
