Whoops

Within a forest..

“you think we can get a decent price for these hides?” a boy that looks no older than 14 asks while holding a dead rabbit in his hands that seemed to be handled quite poorly with an arrow lodged in, a girl that looks slightly older replies “really Kolt? Bunny hide?? We’d be better off just throwing it away than bringing it back with us and we’ve been at it for hours.. Can’t we just go back? Mom and dad will give us a mouthful when we come back, and I don’t want to know what’ll happen to us if we come back later than now”.

“I mean, no ones really holding you here, you can just go back and I’ll stay here and hunt for a bit, you know mom and dad need some help.. that big fat man keeps taking all of our money” SMACK “OW what the heck was that for??”, “that was for being impolite” SMACK “and that was for ever thinking I’d let a dumb kid like you wander in the woods”, “Now come on, before Mom and Dad realize we-“ She couldn’t finish the sentence as a huge object was thrown at rapid speeds towards her, and unfortunately.. “Huh..?”.

Earlier not too far from Kolt and his sister

The sound of trees being broken reverberated in the forest “AGHH FUCK I shouldn’t have trusted that damn creepy lookin weirdo”, “No duh dumbass” said a couple of adventurers running at inhuman speed, both looked middle aged. A blonde man wearing what looks to be an attire fit for a knight with a moustache, or at  least that’s what he calls his barely grown chin hair. And a woman with quite short brown hair, her attire was that of a ranger. “Incoming!” the man yelled as a tree was thrown aimed towards them, both dodged swiftly before facing the threat that seems to be chasing them, and to put it simply, it wasn’t the prettiest of things, its face looked just like a pig, but that wasn’t the main concern, the main concern was the strength this strange monster had.

“I fucking told you that “easy money” doesn’t exist, look at that thing, we can barely defeat a normal orc” the ranger said while nocking and shooting arrows with a bow, “OH and I’m supposed to know that we were gonna face some damn unique empowered freak pig??” the knight retorted while chanting something, runes shining on his blade, charging straight towards the orc, “die you damn pig bastard!” the knight shouted, to which the orc responded with a boulder thrown with extreme strength right to his direction, the knight barely jumped to the side disregarding the charge, but something, or someone was definitely hit.. “Huh..?”.

Stolen story; please report.

“what? what? what? what? what? what? what? what? what? what? wha-“

The body stood still as his sister was brutally hit by the boulder, a throw so strong it didn’t leave any familiarity on whom it hit..

Memories flashed.. “Yo Kolt! Where are you goin??”, “to the forest, wanna come?”, “Didn’t mom and dad like tell us to not go there??”, “nah it’ll be fine, besides I’m strong enough to handle any goblin in our way” boasted Kolt confidently, “you ran away from a dog yesterday while crying..” replied the girl harshly with squinted eyes and a judgmental look, “… THAT WAS BY SURPRISE WENDY, SURPRISE.” Exclaimed the boy, “yeah yeah, I bet you mom and dad are gonna scold us when we get back though, actually, you want to bet something?” asked Wendy, “sure, what are we betting?”, “tomorrows cookies. All of them.”, “deal.”. I shouldn’t have brought her with me, it should’ve been me.

The world became dark.. And suddenly Kolt’s eyes latched onto who, or what did this to his sister, and to his disgust and rage, it was an orc, a fearsome race of monster widely known for its huge size and strength, this one seemed odd though, bah it didn’t matter, what mattered was that he had to make it pay, even with his life lost, it had to fucking pay, Kolt wouldn’t be able to sleep properly thinking every night about Wendy, no less their parents, hell even the friends they talked to, he’d rather die than face them. That was when he saw them, the 2 adventurers facing said orc.. “this is my only chance, I’ll make that bastard pay” and so he tried, he picked up his bow and aimed, prayed, and sure did hope to every damn God he knew of to give him this chance, but unfortunately.. no God was present, and so was fortune.

Swish, the arrow shot and hit its mark shocking both orc and adventurers, much to the delight of Kolt, yet that was quickly extinguished with the snapping sound produced by it, it didn’t even leave a damn scratch, it damn well was enough to provoke it though, and so the orc began shrieking before charging towards him, bow dropped and knees on the ground, Kolt could only watch death coming.. young enough to tremble, old enough to know that escape wasn’t an option, he closed his eyes and thought “Is this it? Are the Gods I pray to really not real? WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS”, “everything” a voice echoed in his mind “you did this” “you brought death upon whom you love and you blame the Gods? Such acts are blasphemy, even the act of dragging someone towards their death is blasphemy, no less blaming the Gods for such idiotic decisions.”, the voices sure were blood boiling, but it didn’t matter to Kolt, this was it, he wished that everyone he knew could forgive him someday though, it would put a dent in his soul if he thought about how cursed his name would be after bringing his beloved sister to the forest just to get her brutally killed like that, yet when he opened his eyes he was faced with a.. face, specifically the orc’s face, it was unmoving, just like the rest of the world “what’s happening? Everything looks frozen..”, “I find those acts amusing, despite such hate towards the Gods, it is exactly what I- we need, and for that I have chosen you, Kolt Neverpale, as a chosen one, to restore order as something greater, unlike the Gods with their uncaring and power hungry demeanor, I choose you to become the avatar of the one true justice.. Time.”
