The sirens continued their blaring. There was a loud bang heard in the air, which was then responded by a not so serene tapping of the heavy raindrops. No sun to be seen, it was enveloped by the clouds as if it was afraid to face the miser state she was in. Another bang and here it was...after a long chase which felt like an eternity, she finally felt tired. Tired of running, tired of the misery. Tired of the pain... it was at this moment, she felt the need to get out of the crappy hideout,to get the real feel of what her father felt, a few ages ago. Yeah the same feeling was it...or was it not?
"This is the farthest you could have gone, Bronze. Why not just end it now?" The rain was heavy, but not heavy enough to eliminate the hateful words coming from a familiar voice. Those loud gunshots didn't scare her at all, but she did go numb at the thought, of how much hatred the owner of the eyes would be possessing in his eyes, if she were to confront him.
"You know what? It is just making you seem more and more of a suspect. The way you are behaving." She gathered all her courage to stand up with her already shaky legs and wiped the lone tear that escaped her right eye with her already wet sleeves.
"If you don't come out now, i won't mind using the gu-". And just then the door creaked open, revealing her figure, as if lifeless, walking emotionless. Something for a second changed in his eyes as he saw the ever so confident blonde, go several levels down the emotions she perceived. But what she spoke next, brought his newly found hate for her back.
"However the chase was...you enjoyed it right? But you know what Parker? I had fun watching you!" She chuckled with her eye void of all the emotions a human could have. Only if she knew the turmoil of emotions she was bringing to him.
"Not the right time to start, little one." He looked straight in her eyes."Let's save it for later." He spat as if it was disgusting to interact with her even a second more. " Jean." He called out and in an instance the comparatively smaller guy stepped forward, handcuffing her somewhat already bruised wrists.
"You are under arrest. You have the right to remain silent and can definitely contact your lawyer for your defense." Grumbled the man named Jean. She lets out a little scoff at this, 'What lawyer would ever help me stand against The Rule itself.' She thought. They started towards the car and the guy harshly pushed her inside the vehicle.
"Ouch! Lemme guess...you obviously don't have a girlfriend, cuz believe me, you are definitely not good at handling women." Eloise gritted, slightly minding the manhandling she was going through. Her sarcasm was met by rather brut silence. It was all too funny and then not too funny for her at the same time. But then again she was a joke herself and very much bad one at that.
The ride to their destination was definitely not short...thanks to her frantic run and chase, her nerves felt even more drained. She felt her eyes resting on him...wanting to do it for quite a long time now. His eyes were set straight but his gaze landed almost nowhere. He too seemed to be lost in his own mess of a brain and heart. The man who used to soften at her presence was lost and she knew it was all her fault.
She inaudibly sighed at the sight. Eloise Bronze was never in her life like her present self, and she was never even meant to be like that. In contrast, she was always the opposite of what she's appearing now. It was as if fate was playing some sort of joke on her. She was descending onto the same path now, which she despised her father walking on for years and that too by her own will, not forced at all. She maybe now understands his reason for doing that, but why does it even matter now? He was long gone...it was too late to regret now.

---flashback---
"Ely , i wanna hear you speak...i don't believe them, it's only you for me...tell me that it wasn't you..." When she heard him whisper, she already new from his voice that he was dreading the silence...no, just her silence. "N-not you of all people." It was her first and the last time seeing him tear up. His voice cracked, at the weight of his each word. It was as if someone was weighing him down...it was her, wasn't she?
"P-please will you say something-god damn it!" Her breathe hitched at that. As if she knew her- their end. "I'm sorry" , was all she could say. She could feel her eyes moisten and in a split second running a stream of sorrow. "I'm sorry, Ethan. I-it was m-my selfishness that broke us apart.." she sobbed, only to hear the door close with a thud. Yes, he got his answer and now it was all over.

--------------
Her eyes shot open at the sudden halt of the vehicle. She was already in sweats, her breathing uneven. The same nightmare horrifies her every night...now that he was safe and in front of her, she is still reminded of it. Getting out of the car, there stood a dangerously tall building. Was she even meant to be here?...But here she was...already. It was the Military Headquarters, the place to be dreaded the most. For the commoners, this may be the highest ranking and 'aimed for' building, which screamed only power and no non-sense, while on the other hand, to the criminals or traitors brought here, this building is no less than a nightmare and their last nightmare at that.
And as her fate would have it , she was led in by one of the most dreaded man in the country, Ethan Parker. He was the second son of the Commander in chief -Mr. D. Parker. Ethan Parker... after being with him for a long time, she found him the warmest male presence she has ever had and of course after her father. He never let her know what loneliness felt like after her parents disappeared....the way she is now. He was cold to her now, as cold as ever he could be to her. It was as if he had a shield against her now. She might have been his beautiful past but she also brought a horrible present to him and with the betrayal she presented him with, his coldness was definitely what she deserved. After all loving Eloise, costed him his sister's and many other lives.
But now after all this, all that Eloise needed was a mere chance, not for getting back with him. That would be impossible for her miser self to even dream about. She just needed a chance in order to save face in front of her parents. So that they are not disappointed of their daughter's actions. To face them with pride and no agony. She deserves this no more at the very least.
She sidetracked all these thoughts and observed her surroundings. All men in black marching by in groups, minding their own business. No one dared to look up at her, cuz they didn't dare to look at their higher up or possibly Ethan more so, in the eye. The soldiers stood straight at every turn of the building, casting their gaze down showcasing respect for Ethan and the troop marching by. Ethan remained unresponsive at all the activities taking place in order for him to acknowledge.
She almost lost the track of her observations when finally they came to a halt, before a large polished wooden door at the topmost floor of the building and it was just then, when it dawned on her of the place she stood at. Her palms got sweaty and she started to panic at the realization.
"No! I won't go inside. I-"
