suddenly I'm assaulted by the brightest white I've ever seen, then its black again.
Except there seems to be hud in my vision...
You heard me right, a Hud, a video game mechanic that the US Army has yet to invent...
What have I actually got myself into...
Suddenly my vision is flying over a mountain.
"Welcome to Zandarn one of the few monster infested areas left with human society." My vision passes over a castle surrounded by a small village.
"Due to recent laws monster hunting can only be done in a traditional style, meaning most weapons are variations of medieval weapons." We pass what appears to be knights
"Leaving there development... lacking..." what appears to be a thug using a primitive pistol is robbing someone.
"Though the power in this world is primitive, it is not lacking." We see a ball of fire coming from nowhere and slamming into a line of men.

"Fantasy and Modren join together in this world, are you ready to play?" Finishes the weird female announcer voice.
a 'map' of some sort opens up in front of me asking to choose my spawn
Theres different places with varying levels of difficulty between them.
The desert looked fun, and so did the mountain, but I will not start in a hard area with no experience prior.
So that left the forest, swamp, or artic, or urban.
I think my best bet would just be the swamp as it borders most of the spawns.
So I chose it and some dialogue popped up.

I quickly checked the other areas and found that they all had different multipliers as well.
But I decided the swamp purely because it's the only one with an EXP boost.
I tap the Y and everything goes dark again.
Suddenly I can see again... but theres a weird circle in my vision and words scrolling down the right side of my vision.
I try and look around but it seems like I'm stuck looking forward... suddenly the words "Rebooting." Start up in my vision and I can... feel... my body again.
And then theres notifications, I thought I had left these behind...

I swear I felt something twitch as I got annoyed by the research mentioning...
Might as well start it... 'Now I just got to figure out how to open research.'
Suddenly like a cliche, I figured out on my first try that I got to think about it.
A window appears in my face and a notification pops up.

I close that pop up and look over the window.
Theres a lot of choices already and it seems to offer plenty of choices already...
But I start researching movement which branches into different types...
'Looks like this is going to be a wild ride.'
I use my... 'Optics?' to look around and I can see a couple small fish and then a turtle or two.
"This place doesn't seem so ba-" then a scaled foot crashed down into the swamp water in front of me and quickly disappeared.
"I take that back." I looked at the focuses that I apparantly have, I currently have access to three... Land-Water Industries, Eyes in the sky, The Panzer line.
The first one gives me access to more movment abilities according to the description...
The second on apparantly puts me on the path to becoming a plane...
And the third gives me a head start on the Tank researcher...
