The sun rose gently, its golden rays piercing through the dense canopy of the forest and casting patches of light on the leaf-covered ground. Every blade of grass seemed to gleam, vibrating with a newfound energy. I stood there, ready to embark on my journey, fueled by renewed determination and the urgency of my mission.
My first objective was to find allies among the various races that inhabited this vast world. I knew that to succeed in my quest, it was crucial to gain their trust and establish strong bonds. With that in mind, I resolutely made my way toward the village of the dryads, renowned for their legendary wisdom and deep harmony with nature.
What you need to know is that there is a sacred rule among goblins: do not approach the eastern part of the forest. The dryads live there in peace and the first goblins to arrive in the forest have decided to mark a border to preserve order between the peoples.
Suddenly, I heard a sweet and melodious laughter. I froze, wondering where such an enchanting sound could come from. I turned around, and there, in front of me, stood an ethereal and graceful dryad.
She was surrounded by an aura of green light, and her skin resembled the bark of an ancient tree. Her long hair, the color of leaves, blended harmoniously with the branches and flowers adorning her body. Her eyes, deep green, shone with timeless wisdom.
"You, what is a goblin doing in this part of the forest?" she asked in a soft, melodious voice.
"I am a goblin, bearer of an extraordinary destiny," I replied, searching for the right words to gain her trust. "I have come to seek the aid of the elves in my quest to unite the peoples and preserve the balance of this world."
I recounted my story to her, describing in detail my reincarnation as a goblin and my providential encounter with the Guardian of the Worlds. I shared my visions of a united world, where different races would coexist in harmony, leveraging their respective strengths for the common good. Every word flowed from my mouth with deep sincerity, carried by the hope of convincing her of the righteousness of my cause.
The dryad listened attentively, her deep green eyes losing themselves in the intricacies of my words. I could sense that she understood the gravity of the situation and the scope of my quest.
"I believe in your cause, reincarnated goblin," she declared with a clear voice. "To prove your good faith, I ask you to stay with us at the dryads' hamlet for a month and get along with as many dryads as possible.", she declared in a soft voice.
His request surprised me a little, but I quickly understood the importance of this ordeal. It was an opportunity to prove my loyalty to the dryads and show my willingness to respect their way of life and their customs.
I bowed respectfully to the dryad and replied with determination, "Noble dryad, I am honored by your request. I will stay at the dryad hamlet for a month, ready to learn and serve our cause with all my heart."
The dryad smiled and started walking, silently inviting me to follow her. After a leisurely walk, we arrived at an enchanting place, a hamlet hidden in the heart of the forest. The houses were built harmoniously around the trees, integrating perfectly into the environment. Brightly colored flowers dotted the ground, and an aura of peace reigned in the air.
The other dryads welcomed us with curiosity and kindness. Their presence was both soothing and energizing, as if nature itself was speaking through them. The dryads, whether male or female, were naturally beautiful and bewitching. Their gait was graceful, their movements fluid and harmonious, reminiscent of the dances of leaves in the wind. Their features were delicate, their faces animated by a lively, mischievous glint in their eyes.

Their dress was simple and in harmony with nature. The men wore light tunics, made of vegetable fibers, while the women draped themselves in flowing dresses, in the colors of the earth and the seasons. Floral motifs and patterns reminiscent of bark sometimes adorned their clothing, emphasizing their deep connection with the plant kingdom.
Children came to meet me, curious about the funny dark green individual who had just arrived in the hamlet. The dryad who had guided me turned around with an expression of intense pleasure on her face.
"I am Reineh, daughter of the chief of the dryads", she declared in a soft voice, but carrying an aura of command. "I am honored to guide you in your quest and to welcome you among us, dear goblin. As a goblin, you must not have a name, right?"
"That's right, Lady Reineh."
"Just Reineh please. Now I'll show you your future home for the next month."
I was shown a small uninhabited house in the trees. Its comfort and practicality reminded me of my old goblin village hut. As a goblin my taste wasn't luxurious and I didn't even expect so much.
The following weeks were a series of trials and learning experiences. Guided by the dryads, I learned to harness the powers of nature and to develop my intuition.. Each day was a new lesson, a new opportunity to grow and draw closer to my goal.
As I continued my stay in the hamlet, I had the opportunity to meet three exceptional dryads named Arine, Valgen, and Tot.
Arine was an agile huntress, known for her mastery of the bow and her deep connection with the forest's animals. Her grace and determination were admired by all. She showed me the secrets of tracking and taught me how to communicate with the creatures of nature. Her free spirit and passion for preserving the natural balance were qualities that forged our friendship.
Valgen was a sage, a master of alchemy. He was renowned for his deep knowledge of medicinal plants and protective spells. He shared with me his esoteric secrets and ancestral teachings. His patience and benevolence helped me deepen my understanding of the mysteries of transmutation.
Tot, on the other hand, was a storyteller and a skilled musician. His enchanting melodies captivated hearts and evoked profound emotions. I met him during an evening gathering around a campfire, where he shared the legendary tales of ancient heroes. His talent for weaving magical stories and his ability to inspire others reminded me of the importance of hope and perseverance.
After one month, when I had largely proved my good faith, a solemn moment arrived in the Reineh's office. Inside, the walls were lined with endless shelves filled with ancient scrolls, books with worn bindings, and meticulously rolled parchments. Wisdom and knowledge seemed to hang in the air, creating an almost tangible atmosphere. Reineh settled behind a polished wooden desk adorned with esoteric symbols, and I sat across from her, filled with humility in the presence of such knowledge.
Reineh, like the keeper of knowledge, welcomed me with respect and a glimmer of gratitude in her beautiful green eyes. She spoke words that would seal our bond.
"As I told you earlier, I am the chief's daughter. In the absence of my mother, it is therefore I who administer our community." she began. "Reincarnated goblin, in recognition of your devotion and perseverance, we, the dryads, name you Riko. May this name remind you of your rebirth and your important mission in our shared quest to unite the peoples and preserve the balance of this world."
