Everything was slipping away—the pain, the struggle, the fading light. I thought it was the end, my last breath drawing near. But then, an abrupt awakening shattered the darkness.
Confusion seized me as I found myself in an alien world, limbs flailing with no sense of control. My attempts at speech were garbled babbling, utterly devoid of the eloquence I once possessed. Brightness assaulted my eyes, colours swirling in an overwhelming blur.
I couldn't comprehend the drastic shift from impending death to this inexplicable beginning. The astonishment was palpable, a rush of emotions flooding through me—bewilderment, frustration, and a disorienting lack of agency over my own body.
The first thing I noticed was the sheer smallness of my limbs, the miniature versions of what had once been my appendages. These tiny chubby arms and legs were no longer the ones I recognized, and the realization struck like a bolt of disorienting revelation. Lying there, helpless and vulnerable, I grappled with the inexplicable truth: I was starting anew, thrust back into infancy. The realization hit hard, the loss of autonomy and comprehension overwhelming. Life's cycle had inexplicably reversed, and I was navigating this strange journey of infancy once more, unable to fathom the enigmatic twist of fate that had reset my existence. Every movement felt awkward and uncoordinated, as if I were learning to control these limbs from scratch. The sensation of touch was amplified, the delicate textures of fabrics or the brush of air against my skin now registering with an intensity that I had long forgotten.

It was a dizzying whirlwind of emotions—bewilderment, a tinge of fear, and an overwhelming sense of vulnerability. The vulnerability wasn't just physical but a deeper emotional realization of being utterly dependent, stripped of the autonomy and understanding I once possessed. I let out a wail from my diaphragm and tears started trickling down my cheeks in bewilderment.
That started my journey in the Kyo Kingdom.
