The void was nothing, yet everything all at the same time. Lance felt the void pressing down on every inch of his body. Yet he also felt how the void lifted him and carried him across the negative space of the void.
Lance gasped, taking in the fresh air. "What the hell happened," the grass crunched like hay under Lance's hand as he sat up, blinking to adjust his eyesight to the glaring sun. "Where am I?" Lance looked around his surroundings, but the grass surrounding him made it hard to see. Lance stood up, stumbling a bit as his balance quickly returned, and straightened up to scan the horizon. As far as he could see was flowing grass, golden as the sun. It drifted back and forth as the wind flowed across the tips.
Lance winced a little, "damn, that's a bit bright." As he looked at the golden field surrounding him, lance started walking in a random direction. "Well, if I don't know where I am, I better find someone to ask where I am."
The grass parted as Lance walked through it, not leaving a trail as the grassy field was blown by the wind back into the flow. "Maybe I can find someone who knows what happened to me and can tell me who I am." As hard as Lance tried to remember who he was, his mind just came up blank as it did when he tried to remember anything, it felt like something in his head, but as he tried to reach for the memories, it just dissipated. As he kept trying to get these memories, they drifted farther away, seeming to be lost.
As Lance kept walking in the golden sea of grass, he saw mountains in the distance. "Haha, looks like I finally have something to walk towards; if I keep at this, ill be there in no time, and from there, ill find someone to tell me where the hell I'm at." As fate would have it, that was not the case for Lance. As he walked, the mountains never seemed to get closer. Soon the hours of walking began to add up, and the trio of suns started to set behind the far distant mountains and the heat.
"Damn, if only I had a coat, I remembered something!" When he thought of things or looked at them as if he had learned about them in the past and already had the knowledge of said items, he couldn't remember how he knew what they were. "Maybe ill remember my name before too much longer, and maybe ill be blessed to find something to keep me warmer than a grey shirt and navy blue khaki shorts."
Already darkness filled the void the suns left. As it engulfed the field, howls carried themself across the rolling hills. "well, sure hope those are friendly neighborhood dogs," Lance said with a nervous chuckled while his eyes darted across the dark fields. The waste-high grass did nothing in the regard of easing Lance's nerves. As he scanned the grass, he saw parting in certain parts as something moved toward him.
"Well, time to run" not wanting to find out what had made him their target, Lance started to run. Howls carried out behind him, getting closer and closer until the cries felt like they were right next to him.

Lance felt like someone sliced across his right calf with a hot knife. "Fuck, goddammit!" Lanced hurled curses at the howling beast surrounding his flank in the chase.
As Lance continued to run and curse at the beast behind him, he began to see the light near the distance as he came to the hill's apex.
It looked like to be a campsite with carts and tents set up surrounding the burning fire.
"Help me, there's something after me." lance shouted as he stumbled down the hill, tumbling to a stop on his back "shit, fuck, oh fuck, oh shit. Hey, get back mother fuckers; I probably taste like shit. Lance yelled in a desperate attempt to keep whatever it was that chased him and snacked on his calf back from finishing the prey. The beast growled as they approached through the grass.
"Grrr, right back at you mother fuckers, go find a stick to chew on." He said that a long snout slowly stuck out of the grass. The scally snout was many hues of grey with six black eyes running down the top of the meter-long snout. The lips curled up as it snarled at Lance. Its mouth was lined with black fangs ranging from six to four inches long. Some of the fangs had green liquid oozing out of the tip.
"Well, you sure don't look like a dog, now do you." As if the beast grew tired of hearing Lance speak, it lunged at him. Lance barely brought his arms in time before the beast sunk its fangs into his arm with an audible crunch as the bones in his forearm gave way to the force of the bite.
"AAAH! Let go, you ugly son of a bitch." Lance pulled back with as much force as he could muster, kicking and punching the scaly snout as much as he whaled and cursed at it, but the beast still effortlessly drugged him as if he was nothing more than a fly buzzing around it. Lance was dragged through the grass as the beast carried him in its mouth. But like a blessing from god, thundering sounds from hooves could be heard quickly approaching.
A Booming voice jolted the beast, "Not today, you fucker".
Lance watched as an immense battle ax slammed down on the beast's neck cutting through the thick scales like butter, severing the head. But as the head fell, the mouth tightened up on Lance's arm, almost like its dying wish was to bring Lance the most pain possible. "AAAH" Lance walled out in pain as the pain increased and also seemed to travel up his arm like lava burning his insides.
Lance could hear more shouting as more people drove the rest of the pack of the beast. A large shadow appeared over Lance. " Damn, looks like that crag got a tight hold of you, mate. Let me help you with that."
Lance felt the pressure let up as the man pried the mouth open with ease. Lance looked at his mangled arm as he pulled it out his arm. It looked like a lightning bolt as it zagged back and for with bone sticking out at the corner that previously wasn't there. The skin also was changing colors as what lance could only presume was venom coursing in his blood.
"Well, damn mate, sure doesn't look like that crag liked you too much," the booming voice said with a jokingly chuckle.
"Well, no shit, ma..." Lanced paused as he looked at the man with the booming voice hovering over him. The man wasn't a man and more like a talking bull man that had a slight grin on his face. Lance stared at him in shock as the mountain of a bull stared right back.
"What mate, the first time you've seen a mino-centaur before?" And with that, Lanced collapsed, his head falling back into the earth as sleep took him away.
"Well, I'm not that ugly, am I?" the mino-centaur asked the approaching man.
"Dammit, Hairy, what did you do to the kid?"
"Nothing Walt. I swear I was trying to be friendly."
