But when Ark led Yu Lian to go towards the direction of their next destination, City X main district, he found that Yu Lian not only showed expression of self awareness, but more on amplification of her instinct.

When facing average zombies, Yu Lian's expression and attitude change from emotionless girl to a demoness confronting inferior living beings, and her way of killing also became precise and clean with her cold eyes looked like she was trampling on a lowly insects. And her attack speed also became a lot faster, if she was simply like a cheetah before, probably now she is entirely a cheetah that was injected with steroids.

Despite the evolution made by the virus, it brought Yu Lian to appear much closer to her of a normal human, although her behavior is still presently much closer to a real manifestation of a beast, especially when she hunts weaker zombies. Probably from Yu Lian's perspective, the normal zombies were decreased to all just weak insects.

Ark could also not help but think, how will Yu Lian will react when she is facing humans...but under his spiritual connection, he could prevent Yu Lian's berserk attack is still completely optimal.

He rode a bicycle with Yu Lian as they passed through a bridge connecting between the suburb and X City, though his enjoyment of peaceful riding with Yu Lian was met with constant disruption by all the zombies around them.

But not for long, as soon as they finally crossed the bridge and they stepped into the main district, Ark found that another trouble was barging to the door.

To be precise, he was confronted head on with two survivors surrounded by zombies.

The two survivors, one young boy and young woman, probably around high school given they are still wearing their uniforms, though it was hard to tell from one of them wear a backpack that they probably went out to scavenge for food. And the place they were fighting at was near the gate of a supermarket. Using the gate of the supermarket as cover, those two barely withstood the first wave of the zombie's ferocious onslaught, but the appearance of incoming zombies began to incur an impending crisis for them.

These zombies kept on barraged with insurmountable of brute force, the gate of the supermarket were soon quickly smashed into the ground. These two have to retreat further in, using shelves, counters and other obstacles to slow down their movements.

And Ark looked at them from a safe distance, originally wanted to take a detour and leave, but his mind felt like nostalgia as he was attracted to that girl.

That girl is wielding a katana sword, always smiling, even with all occurring crises in front of her, her sudden swift slashes are always able to kill the zombies in her path as she rushed forward. Her speed at every swing of that her sword is even on par with Yu Lian. If not seen and witnessed with his own eyes, Ark would probably not even believe that such extraordinary swordsmanship that young girl exist among the ordinary survivors.

Yet her smile is what keeps Ark feeling familiar strongly. Her smile is a contrast of what an ordinary girl in a doomsday situation expected to be as they would be scared to death, ashen and even trembling. But from her expression alone, she seemed to enjoy this embodiment of fighting, even though she was back in a corner. No matter how strong she is, facing wave after wave of zombies in this place would result in her strength waning the longer she fights.

Ark even incurred a hint of remembrance and nostalgia that keeps pulling and as well great concerned towards this girl, but at looking at Yu Lian sitting in the backseat, he shook his head as he thought that his mind is playing tricks on him and it's better to mind his own business. It would be no problem if he did not act based on the gut feeling, believing that she was just an ordinary high school girl, probably a ability user like him and may her see through Yu Lian's true identity, then they will be in real trouble...

Just when he intended to ride away to bypass but a cry of distress came from the supermarket's direction: "Mister! Please help us out!"

Hearing the sound of shouting instantly made Ark's head felt a burst of annoyance.

Beside the shouting of help made him annoyed, but also the very fact that by shouting alone is enough to summon hell itself! Zombies' hearing are much more sensitive than average person and can locate it's source like a bats do. After the boy shouted, several zombies immediately came out from alleys and stores. And as soon as they appeared, they instantly spotted him and rush towards them.

"What a bunch of amateurs!, Ah!" Ark curse loudly in his heart, he jumped off the bike and unsheathed his eashen sword from the waist. Since he was already curious about the girl's identity, Ark had to let Yu Lian stay put behind him, not letting her attack in order to prevent revealing her true identity.

But dealing three zombies was very different when facing a nearly more than ten zombies by himself is really a feat he must overcome. Just relying on his own fighting ability and his [Zombie Bind] is probably far from sufficient to cope with that many zombies.

Fortunately, Ark still had two bound zombies lying in wait for him to send them on a hunting spree, and right now is the perfect time to descreetly send them and verify his result of his evolution. When he raised his sword towards the first zombie that rushing forward, Ark's eye has already turned to the second zombie, in the instant of making eye contact; his tyrannical ability had temporarily control this zombie by force.

When he killed the first zombie, next the second zombie who under his control was forced jump towards him on the tip of his blade.

That was only the nearest, seeing several zombies rushing forward towards himself, Ark quickly kicked the corpse off his blade as he was shocked, but his spiritual mind was never this clear before.

Seeing that from a far, his two bound zombies were making a massacre on the incoming zombies. However his spiritual threads were more powerful than before and may be able to bind three or more zombies.

Commanding that many zombies at once is new challenge for Ark, but at that critical moment, he had no time to think, he only allowed this idea to float into his head for one moment and then immediately put into practice.

One swift movement of cutting the zombie are the front, and the same controlling the two zombies that followed to his order, when their movements followed and showed short-term stagnation, Ark's blade has promptly swift cut through off their heads in one fell swoop. This type of zombies' control only effective in limited time; even himself did not believe he could pull it off in one move and yet it was extremely effective when applying it into combat.

Applying the doctrine he concocted, Ark rushed into the zombie crowd appearing stagnant, and directly swiftly killed nearly dozens of zombies with an incredible rushing attack. Almost in the blink of an eye, zombies' heads went flying as Ark passed through them.

Splattered with zombies' blood, Ark's bloodstained face now looked like the incarnation of a demon, suddenly blindsiding the high school girl and boy inside the supermarket.

"Holy s***! Shana, did you see that? What did that person do, so cruel yet so cool!", That boy stared directly, could not help but shout shockingly, and he did not realize that a zombies passed through the gap of the counter and about to reached out to him.

"Poof!"

A slash of coldness went before his eyes, then that hand fell beside his feet, and he was covered in cold sweat watching the girl that stood behind him.

The girl whom called Shana eyed him coldy, at the same time she thrusted the katana into the zombie's head, then forced it out: "None of my business"

"Anyway we are saved! Come on, let's get out!" Even though Shana react indifferent, the boy is exceptionally carefree, after all, it's a turning point.

Regardless whether the man was willing to save them, this boy immediately jumped over the counter, and Shana also followed behind him after frowning her brow, looking at the man.

From the distance, watching two high school students break out from the supermarket and heading towards his direction, Ark knew that like fate is playing him. So instead of avoiding them getting themselves surrounded by group of zombies, why not help them get away.
