Chapter 20

Adrian found himself now standing on a field of grass, although he know that he's dreaming, he getting creeped out by this dream, especially because this looked like a hellscape, the moon is bloodied along with the sky, he's never had a dream like this before and so he started suspecting. Sure enough his suspicions were right.

A very familiar voice rang out, "Hey, mister." although it was said in a joyful tone, he could feel the intense bloodlust in it. Cold sweat began to drip down his back, despite this being a dream, he's feeling such deep fear.

Adrian hastily looked behind him and saw that there's a person smiling like a maniac. "Leviathan!?" he exclaimed as the latter kept smiling. Even though the latter doesn't have eyes and his eyelids are closed he still walked forward.

His instincts are screaming as the being possessing a youthful appearance advances towards him, he retreated, yet with each step backwards is another step forward for this monster.

"You've betrayed me," Leviathan said in cold tone.

"I…" Despite his tries to retain his cool, he simply doesn't know what this monster will do to him and is fearing for his life with his eyes widened.

An invisible wall halted Adrian's retreat and Leviathan placed his tiny hand on the man's shoulder which then pushed him down to his knees. He grunts with the sudden pain and the latter slowly extended his tiny hand towards his face.

"I'm just here to take back what's mine," Still smiling like a maniac, took out Adrian's eyes, leaving him in unbearable pain as he screams. Finally, Leviathan put it back into his eye sockets and regained his vision, but then, Adrian began seeing himself using the other's vision, having seen himself with blood oozing out of his eye sockets, he screamed in horror once more and promptly woke up.

He quickly got up with dread on his face, he checked his body everywhere but none is missing, he looked at the nearby mirror and his eyes are still the same; black sclera with one small white dot in the middle.

He sighed in relief and his beating heart was finally able to settle down.

"Is there any problem, master Adrian? May I help you?" the robot butler, Perdo asked.

"No, there's no problem… I'm okay," he said as he collect his thoughts, "Is Norsa here?"

"Yes, master Norsa is inside. Do you want meet him?"

Norsa's holographic projection then popped up beside them. "Yo, what do you need?"

"I want to talk to you, please."

"Alright. Pedro, bring him to my workshop."

"As you wish, master," he replied with a bow.

Pedro began guiding him to Norsa's workshop and when they arrived in front of a door, the butler carefully opened it and showed Norsa inside who's working on some machine. Pedro excused himself and left as Adrian walked inside.

"What are you making?"

"Nothing, just tinkering with old machines. Was there any problem?" he raised his eyebrow as he stopped working to look at the visitor.

"I saw Leviathan." Adrian spoke with a serious tone.

"Where?" Norsa's face became serious after hearing that.

"Inside here," Adrian pointed at his temple.

"In your head...?"

"Specifically, my dream... He want his eyes back."

"Ah, shit... Then what happened?"

"I woke up, that's all that happened."

"You feel fine, don't you?"

"Yeah. I feel okay."

"Then go home. Clear up your mind, upgrade yourself with the money I've given you, then level up."

"But that one billion is a lot..."

"Shut up and just take my money. Now go and get stronger."

"Okay, fine."

As he walks back to the main hall, he met Pedro in the small hallway. "Allow me to assist you in your private plane, master Adrian."

"Sure."

They walked outside and maybe because it's morning, there's no Players currently here aside from him and Norsa. They later arrived to his private plane, an aircraft that looks the same as the one Mirai came with.

"Have a safe trip, master," the robot bowed.

Adrian entered it and took a seat, moments later, the aircraft took off directly from its parking space and quickly reached mind-boggling speeds.

It entered a stealth mode where it used the Optic Camo system.

A holographic flight attendant made of Hardlight then appeared. "Master Adrian, do you need anything?"

"No thanks, I just want to go back to Singapore, bring me directly above my home."

“As you wish.”

Just like before, the time it took for him to reach Singapore was so miniscule that he hadn't even finished a quarter of the bottle of the newly opened wine he's drinking.

With the Optic Camo still on, rendering them invisible to the naked eye. Adrian went out. He swiftly exited the aircraft while wearing his usual mask and just as swiftly entered the apartment building.

He went up using the lift and soon arrived in front of his doorstep. He opened it with a 6-digit code and the door popped open.

As soon as he walked in, he saw Ann laying down on the sofa, wearing his shirt and a long pajama pants. "Why the hell is she here?" he wondered.

He soon heard barking as Choco rushed towards him from inside the room. The dog ran excitedly and continued barking, standing up to him and licking him as soon as he arrived to his owner.

"Ahh, you miss me, eh?" Adrian said playfully, caressing the dog's head and petting him.

Still sleepy with her eyes half closed, Ann called out, "Adrian? You're back...?"

"Yeah, I am. By the way, why are you here?"

"Why shouldn't I? You didn't feed Choco and he seem lonely."

"Yeah… My bad for leaving him for the whole day. Anyways, thanks for that. Just continue sleeping."

"Nope, I'm wide awake now that you're here. Are you hungry? I can cook for you."

"Uh… Yeah, sure, I want to eat now."

Ann stood up and walked towards the kitchen when Adrian said something. "I'm a Phoenix Guild member now." This sentence made her halt dead on her tracks and she looked back with an excited look.

"Really?! So fast?!"

"Yup…"
