Waking up to Alexis at the side of her bed. Rose turned her head and gave her a smile.
"You know you don't have to stand so close to the bed."
'I need to be as close as possible in case of another assassination." Alexis face was deadpan with worry.
Rose rolled out of bed causing her blankets to follow her. Giving a stretch to deal with the day she turned back to the bed to place the sheets back on. She saw her daggers pointing out from under her bed.
"Alexis can you find me an instructor who knows how to handle a dagger?" Alexis was shocked at the statement.
"A lady should not need to know how to handle such...." Alexis looked at what the princess had in her hand. "Is that the assassin's dagger! You should give that to the guards so they might find out who owns it!"
"Calm down Alexis. The dagger was gifted to me." Rose started to swipe from left and right with her dagger. She gave a chuckle when she thought it might fly out of her hands and break something. "It is what saved me last night."
Alexis just sighs disheartened. "I will ask your mother, but she will only let one of the servants teach you. Now lets get you dressed for the day."

Finally dressed for the day she went off to snatch some breakfast from the kitchens. Each servant who passed her had a frown and an apologize for letting an assassin get so close. She waved them off and gave them a bright smile. Finally, she got to the kitchen and it was havoc. The kitchens had to supply the courts with their cooking so of course it is hectic. The head chef gave out orders left and right with smooth efficiency. It must be a larger than normal court today, even the head butler was helping out where he could.
The Head Butler saw the princess come in and prepared her plate. With a mix of fruits and a biscuit she was served out of the way of the controlled chaos in the kitchen. She sat down and watched the kitchen with its natural flow. Once more the Head Butler passed and the princess tried to catch his attention. With the Butler coming up to her. He gave her a quick bow when he was in front of her.
"How can I help you, Princess?"
"Xavier I need some information on the new servant. The mute one."
"He is a damn hard worker. Appears where the most work needs to be done." Xavier nodded at the thoughts.
"How can he be a hard worker. I saw him in the library." Rose commented.
"The Queen, Lords, and even Servants use the library on the daily. While the Librarian could put all the books away nearing in the hundreds. He kept getting called back to his desk. So even there was only a hundred or so. They take the whole day. So when the mute servant goes to the library he sort them by location and places the books in their proper place. This makes it so that the Librarian can help anybody who asks."
"I guess there is more going on behind the scenes than even I know." She nibbled on a piece of fruit. "So where did he come from? Does he have a name?"
"You seem far more interested in a mute servant than I have seen you in most of your studies." This made Rose look away.
"He played a song that Mom use to sing us." Xavier nodded at that.
"That is actually my fault. The song your mom sang to you, is an old commoner song. I usually tell all the musicians that they are not allowed to play it, while on duty." The head chef calls out to Xavier. Nodding back towards to the head chef, he looks back at the young princess. "Also, I don't know his name nor where he is from. I must go now Princess."
Waving at Xavier as he begins to start helping the head chef. Finishing her plate she hands it toward the servant doing the dishes and thanks him. Walking to go to the Court Room for hours of boring politics.

After a couple of mind numbing hours the Lords all pack and leave for the day. Rose wakes up from the sudden movements. She is about to get up from her chair, but is handed a letter from a passing servant.
Dear Daughter,
Please meet me in the Study.
Thank you Mom.
"I must be in trouble." She grabs a biscuit and dips it in some gravy and walks towards the Study.
Opening the door to the study, she notices her mother hadn't arrived yet. Entering the circular study, she looks around at the walls lined with bookshelves. Each self was filled with political books and blueprints of the city. Rose looked at about 100 spines before the titles started to blur together.
Looking back to her mother's desk, she spotted an open book. Her natural curiosity won her over and she sat down. Looking upon the open page, she was shocked to see a full diagram of a dagger. Fascinated, she begun looking and remembering each piece. So engrossed into the diagram, she didn't even hear her mother come in and sit down in the guest seat.
"Ahem, I hope you kept my place in the book." The sound shocked Rose into embarrassment. "It seems you are more than a little fascinated with knives than I knew."
"Hello mother. Yes, knives are..." The word she thought couldn't be said to her mother, but it was the only word she could think of. "Beautiful."
"And this has no correlation to your near death experience."
"No mom. I had a knife under my pillow before that happened." She racked her brain for her next thoughts till her brain made connections. "I didn't think you would approve of letting me learn to fight with one."
"That is right. No lady should ever have to lift a weapon in her lifetime. Sadly, you are no Lady." Getting up, she held her daughters face in her hands. "You are a Princess of this Kingdom. While our guards have caught every other assassin that has been sent to us. That fact doesn't mean one won't slip by them. So you may learn how to fight with a knife, but I will find the trainer."
Rose's eyes misted over with a few tears. With those words a weight that Rose didn't know she had, was lifted. Her mother wiped away the tears and walked past her daughter and sat in her chair.
"It is what your father would have wanted anyway."
"What was that mother?" Rose didn't want to miss any words that might be important for later.
"Nothing. Now be gone, I have to revise laws and keep this kingdom moving forward."
Rose exited the Study and saw Alexis on the other wall, waiting. With a bow, Alexis walked behind Rose to her next location. Rose stopped in the middle of the hallway. This caused Alexis alarm. Alexis quickened her step to see what the princess was looking at. Rose looked at Alexis with a smile and gave her a big hug.

"Mother said yes!" Rose squealed into Alexis's ear. Alexis visually relaxed into Rose's hug. Stepping back and putting Alexis at arms length. "You should join me! That way, when Mom gets one of the retired perverted instructors, you can tell them get back! While you swing the knife like you are going to cut him!"
"Of course, my Lady. That sounds like a wonderful time." Alexis let out a laugh at the bubbly princess. "How about you visit one of your sisters. With your new training you might not get another chance."
"Please Alexis don't offer me empty promises." Alexis raised an eyebrow and Rose faltered. "Fine, I will visit one of them. Tell..."
"I will tell Raven you are on your way."
"Raven I am on my way." Rose then comprehended what Alexis said. "You have been my servant for too long."
Alexis went ahead by 10 steps and kept pace with Rose. Rose rolled her eyes and ran up and linked an arm with Alexis. This caused Alexis minor shocked.
"What are you doing my lady?." Rose stopped and looked at Alexis dead in the eye.
"You never know when the big bad wolf might get me. So stick close to me." Alexis started to look aggravated. "Oh, Alexis, don't look at me like that. I know! You are right, I should wrap my arms around you so we are the closes possible!"
Take the princess's hands and pushes them off her arm. Alexis took a step back and walked ahead. She stopped and turned around. With her hand at her head as if to faint. "My lady, that could never work. Your a... and I am a..."
"Do not worry, Alexis I don't care if you are a servant!" Rose dramatically proclaimed.
"That's not it Princess. I am... I am... Clearly the big spoon in the relationship!"
This stopped the thought process of Rose. Alexis went back over to Rose and held her hands.
"But do not worry My Lady we can still be friends!"
"Oh wow, I just got dumped by my servant. I might need some wine."
Alexis openly laughed at the princess and dragged her to Raven's room.

Alexis knocked at Raven's Door and begun talking to the servant. Opening the door so that Rose could pass by. Raven was standing on her bed with a pillow on her arm as if it was a shield.
"You have come into the territory of Raven, Queen of Ravenetta. Speak your intention!" Rose already had a goofy smile at her younger sister. Holding out her hand to Alexis. Alexis knew this was going to happen already picked up a pillow from the closet and handed it to Rose.
"It is I, Rose Queen of All the World!" Rose started to laugh evilly. "And yet you dare defy my ruler ship! The only way you can learn your lesson is with blood spill!"
Raven jumped off the bed and switched her shield pillow for a body pillow. "No compromise can be had between two fierce blizzards."
"The battle rages on in this war of two sisters!" At that declaration both sister come at each other with pillows... of doom!
After a few strikes from each other Rose throw the pillow at Raven's head. This action caused Raven to use her pillow to cover her face. Rose used this opportunity to push her sister to the floor and started tickling her.
"I give! I give! Ravenetta is yours, my queen. Please just stop tickling me."
"Muwhahahahahahaha." Rose finally stopped tickling Raven after the door opened once more.
"It seems that my sisters are planning world domination in here." Tulip came in with a glass of wine in her hand.
"Tulip save me! The Queen has taken over Ravenetta!" Tulip placed her hand on her head.
"Sorry dear sister, but she has exploited your weak sides." Raven crossed her arms over her chest with a hmph.
"So Tulip what has brought you here?" Rose asked.
"I heard that Rose is about to do some sword training." with a slight blush coming from her wine drinking.
"Knifing fight, Tulip, I am doing Knife fighting." Rose said it slowly to her sister. Tulip rolled her eyes at her sister. "So how many wine bottles are you in, Sis?"
"Just half a bottle." Rose glared at her sister in disbelief.
"What mother wanted to talk to me after she talked to you about your sword training." Tulip swirled her wine, as she twirled her wine glass. "So how are you and 'Howard' doing?
"That sounds like you are making fun of me 'Sis'." Rose shot back. "But if you are truly worried about Howard I be more than willing to trade you for any other bachelor."
"Sorry sister, I might be a heavy drinker, but I would need at least 3 more bottles before I even think that might be a good idea." Tulip laughed out loud at Rose's angry face. Than Roses face started to gain a wicked grin. Rose turned to Alexis, who was whispering with the rest of the servants.
"Alexis bring me 5 bottles of wine for my dear sister." Tulip choked on her wine after that comment. Raven has begun laughing at the comment and her sister's reaction.
"Don't encourage her Rose. You know mother doesn't approve of her 'Wine Tasting' habit." Raven exclaimed between her bouts of laughter.
"Ohhhh hell no you are not trying to get me to a drunk trade. Not after Raven made a trade that she could get all my ballroom dresses and I get her chores for a whole month." Tulip turns towards the door. "Alright, let's go clearly I am not safe in this room."
"Yes, My Lady." Tulip and her servant left Ravens room as quickly as possible.
"Too bad Rose next time ask after she has had 5 bottles of wine." Raven patted Rose on the head.
"Oh well." Rose walked what seemed to be randomly around the room. Then dived towards the pillows and threw it once more at her sister. "Pillow Forts Now!"
"Yeah! But this time the servants get to help us!" Raven shouted!
