Doug

----------------------------------------

Doug opened his eyes; it was pitch black. He tried to sit up only to hit the ceiling only a few inches above his head. "Hells bells! Where am I?" he tried to move his arms but they were too restrained to a few centimeters of movement, he seemed to be in some sort of humanoid sized container.

He banged on the ceiling with his hand That should've hurt he noted. It seemed to be made of wood, the sound it made was muffled. He shot his hand up again, he felt it transmute somehow. It broke open the wood to reveal the dirt above it which began collapsing in. No! I won't be able to-

He paused... although the dirt had collapsed in on him he wasn't suffocating. Although his body remained restrained even more so now by the dirt. He noticed that his left hand wasn't fully covered and banged again on the roof. It bust open and more dirt poured in. Using the extra space he slowly but surely wiggled his way out.

Reaching the surface he lead out a heavy sigh and noted his surroundings. Rain drizzled from the dim sky, the clouds blocking the sun. He was surrounded by gravestones so ancient that the names had weathered out; he examined himself...

What remained of his body was mere bones covered in rotting skin like grime; his left hand had somehow taken on the form of an hatchet. So that's how I broke through.. Wait! Blimey I'm a skeleton... Does that mean I got revived? My god I get a second chance at life.. Gosh I'm an undead now! Oh- confusing questions and thoughts circled his mind.

As he sat and pondered a man wearing an black suit and top hat walked in to the graveyard presumably to pay respects and Doug instinctively mouthed "Good morrow!", the man slowly turned his head gazing at him for a few seconds before running away screaming and slipping on the wet street. Doug worried called out "You alright?".

Alex

----------------------------------------

It was an regular day for Alex she had woken up, bathed and made short work of her breakfast which was some lovely eggs drizzled with salt and pepper alongside the deer they had hunted a few days prior. She grabbed her rifle and headed out with her dad to hunt like usual. I hope we find some rabbits she thought hopefully, it had been a while since she had gotten the chance to eat any.

They wandered around the forest for a while, Alex had gotten a good idea of the layout of the forest even as an 17 year old from going out hunting with her dad since she could properly walk, she knew the forest like the back of her hand.

After wandering around for some time she heard some bushes rustle to her right and signaled to her dad that she would investigate to which he nodded. She covertly walked up the small hill she spotted an group of rabbits grazing This is it! she grinned, she held her breath, and aimed her rifle- Bang!

She jumped in surprise her head immediately turned to face the source of the sound to the left.

She saw her father had readied his rifle and took a shot. A brown bear was approaching her father quick barely a few hundred meters away. She hastily aimed her gun hoping to hit the head; the shot missed and hit the chest but the bear continued its charge now more enraged.

She took a deep breath, loaded another bullet and concentrated. As she blinked her eyes turned from an amber brown to glassy blue. Alex saw an second translucent image of the bear that seemed to be charging in front of it in a similar rhythm to the actual bear. This better work She shot at the head of that image as the bear charged exactly into that spot. Bullseye! The shot hit the bear straight in the head and it crashed into the ground; its skull had been pierced.

She breathed a sigh of relief as her father shouted "Good shot kid!" she retorted with a puzzled look "That's how you're gonna react to almost dying?!". Her father broke into hysterical laughter as did she after realizing the absurdity of it all.

Tom

----------------------------------------

The sun was shining illuminating the brilliant blue sky; Tom had just finished up with University for the day and headed to his sister's school to pick her up, he wore an white dress shirt and brown trousers holding his coat in his hand so he could feel the cool breeze. He stepped forward to the main street and signaled for an carriage as one passed by.

"Where to?" the coachman asked, "Just down to Everlore" replied Tom. The man nodded and gestured for him to step in as they began riding.

They arrived within a few moments and after paying Tom began walking up to the school- an explosion went off smoke streamed out of the school; panic and distress overcame Tom as he realized what had just happen.

Tom ran into the building hitting the door on his way as he felt an energy spill from him into it but the adrenaline and panic forced him ignore it. He saw children pouring out of the classes as they evacuated "Alice?!" he shouted in terror. A familiar scream came out of an nearby room.

He ran to the source of the scream and saw his sister surrounded by fire as he jumped in to save her the fire spread to his clothes. Tom lifted his sister into his arms, the fire searing his legs. He backed up and put his hand on the wall; An gateway opened showing a view of the lawn outside.

Realizing this was his only chance of escape he ran in and erupted from the portal on the other side of the door as the portal closed. An immense exhaustion overcome him he collapsed on the lawn with his sister held close to his chest.

Greg

----------------------------------------

The sun was shining illuminating the brilliant blue sky. It was just another day on the job for Greg as an coachman. As he passed by the local University a chap stopped him and asked to be taken to Everlore, to which he obliged.

Soon enough they were there and after the man paid, Greg began riding off *What a rut-*; An explosion went off behind him horse went into immediate distress "Woah! Steady there!". After a few minutes he calmed down his horse and stationed to the side and went to investigate. He saw smoke streaming out of the building and from corner of his eye caught the customer who rode with him run inside.

He walked up to the lawn gesturing all the kids out as an scream erupted inside; Greg thought to go inside but he wasn't crazy.

The whole school had filtered out except for that one man. Greg began to become more and more worried as time went on.

The man erupted from the door out of nowhere and collapsed on the lawn his clothes and skin charred.

**Crack!**

The large sign affixed on the wall above them began to become loose. The sign detached; His instincts kicked in and without thinking Greg ran up to them and held his hands up high _What the 'ell am I doing?! This'll end with all of us crushed to paste_ he worried. He braced for impact as a sudden surge of energy entered his arms and legs. The sign fell on him; He had managed to catch it and what's more he was able to stand up with ease _I expected that to be much 'eavier_ he puzzled as he threw it near a shed.

The sign flew like an bullet into the shed crushing both the sign and shed. The crowd gasped in shock; the energy dissipated from his arms and legs as they both lost all strength and Greg immediately collapsed to the ground his body feeling like jelly.
