Chapter Six

A/N :  So on chapter five you guys has noticed the liquid metal from Gun Ota! appearing and our MC having the same circumstances as the MC from Gun Ota! So having said that enjoy this new chapter!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Richard and I went back home that day with five barrels of liquid metal filled to the brim heck I'd bet that there if you were to flip the barrel upside down you won't find any air bubbles in them.

So, at least a week has passed by since then and I've spent it on experimenting with the liquid metal. True to Richard's words the liquid metal will only form into something sturdy but only if you are familiar with how the object you are going to craft operates.

So, with that in mind I've decided to start small scale to try to get my gun sense tingling. Today, ladies and gentlemen, I'm going to craft a gun!

So with small scale in mind I'm going to try and craft a handgun. Yes, I know a handgun requires alot of maintenance but there are pistols that are low maintenance as well as wear and tear but since I've always been using handguns instead of revolvers for a majority of my time back with the organisation I basically know all of the inner workings and how the pistol feels like.

With the previous experiments I've been doing the past week I've come to a conclusion that it is much better to build your parts one by one and fixed them together like lego blocks instead of  trying to build the whole thing together in one shot.

I searched through my mind for pistols that are low maintenance and pack a punch, the first choice that came up was the M1911 but the wear and tear is fucking huge. I've heard from friends that used to be in the army that the M1911s are constantly replaced due to the wear and tear.

(Noticed how the barrel is getting pushed down by the upper receiver? That's what's causing the wear and tear.)

Next choice that came up was the Desert Eagle. Yes, I know the cailber in this thing is basically useless for real life combat but the wear and tear in that thing is closed to nothing as instead of pushing the barrel down with the upper receiver the Desert Eagle instead has the back of the upper receiver slide back to chamber a new round.

(The upper receiver slides back to eject and then chamber a new round.)

So, now I have a pistol that has little wear and tear but the caliber is a problem. I took out a piece of paper and started sketching the desert eagle.

So, now what I'm gonna do is this. I'm going modify the Desert Eagle a little bit. I'm going size down the barrel so that it can accommodate the .45acp. I'm going to decrease the springiness of the spring so that the blowback from the .45acp will be able to push the slide back or else instead of an automatic pistol I will be having a bolt action pistol. There will be no change in the magazine other than sizing it down so that it could fit into the magwell of the sized down desert eagle.

Once I've drawn a rough sketch of the modified Desert Eagle I begun to craft it in my mind.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two days has passed since the start of the Desert Eagle project. So far I've managed to craft the magazine and the upper receiver along with the barrel. Now I just need to make the lower receiver and I will have a working gun.

Just like everyday I went down to the living room on the first floor and has my breakfast after that I went down to the river behind the village to continue my crafting.

If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

I arrived at the nearby river behind the village. The river actually originated from the nearby snowy mountains one can see in the distance and as such villagers will regularly go there to collect drinking water and to do their laundries as well.

But further downstream is a forest which barely anyone goes to as it is known for harbouring monsters and small time demons and since there is barely anyone there I made that spot my research centre.

The only person who comes here other than me is Mary who will deliver me lunch and speaking of Mary she is hired by Richard to work as a maid in our mansion.

Once I've reached my research centre which is nothing more than a wooden table and the five barrels of liquid metal hidden in the nearby foliage I took the completed parts out from a pouch hidden in the nearby foliage.

I placed the completed parts on the wooden table and then concentrated on making the lower receiver

*Five hours later.*

"Whoop!"

I raised my fist into the sky. Finally! after much concentration I've made my Desert Eagle .45 special. ( That's waht I'm going to call my modified pistol.)

"Now, for the ammunition huh." I mumbled to myself.

As I was pondering on how to get the propellant a high pitched voice interrupted my thoughts. I turned to the voice irritated but showed a soft looked when I saw who it was.

"Ryan! Here's your lunch!"  Mary ran to me and held up a lunch box. Apparently lunch boxes do exist in this world, the lunch is essentially just a wooden box with slots in them so that you insert wooden slots to separate the dishes accordingly to portion and size.

I opened the cover of the lunch box and saw that it contained grilled fish placed on top of vegetables, a lemon was placed at the corner.

I took the lemon and squeezed it over the grilled fish before sitting down beside the river and eating it.

"Ohhh, so this is the thing that you've been working for the past few weeks?"

While I was enjoying my lunch I didn't notice Mary going over to the wooden table and picking up the Desert Eagle.

"Uh huh."

"It's so shiny."

The characteristics of an equipment crafted with liquid metal is that they are unusually shiny.

"You should probably go back to the mansion now or else Mother will get worried."

My research centre is quite a ways from the mansion and could take at least 30 minutes on foot to get here.

"Yeah, I should probably get going. Bye!"

"Wait! Here's the lunch box." I handed the lunch box to Mary for her to bring back to the mansion to be used again.

I had finished my lunch while Mary was playing around with the Desert Eagle .45 special.

Handing over the lunch box Mary skipped back home.

Having finished lunch I went back to pondering on how to get the propellants needed for the bullet. I've dabbled with chemistry back on Earth so I'm aware of the contents needed to create the smokeless gunpowder that I need but I'm not even sure that the chemicals which I need are not even available.

While thinking of ways to make the propellant needed for the bullet time passed by quickly and the sun set behind the snow capped mountains in the distance.

Taking that as the que for me to go back home I took the completed Desert Eagle and brought it back with me instead of hiding it in the nearby foliage.

I covered the lid of the liquid metal barrel and rolled it behind a bush and stacked pieces of twigs on top.

Once, I made sure that the barrels are barely visible I went back home.

A/N: Next chapter we shall take a look into how our MC will create the gunpowder he needs for creating a bullet and the trail. Anyways, feedback, reviews generally any input will be welcomed.
