There Is Nothing But My Revenge.
Chapter 1: You Left Me Here Alive
A Story Written and Planned by ICKA°
“There is nothing, but my revenge. I will do absolutely everything for my needs.” -Ryken D’yer
----------------------------------------
Ah... The warm heat of her hand, now felt cold as the breeze of the night. The eyes, once vividly full of wonder and life, now as black as the midnight sky without the stars and moon.
Sparks flying, the breeze of the night making the flames of dance throughout everything. Why did you have to leave me like this...?
...
Abruptly–Ryken D'yer awoke from his daydream, surprised.
> “Are you finally awake, Mr. D'yer?”“
>
> ...Yes, sir.” He replied“
>
> Good, then answer this question.” The professor asks calmly, with a hint of aggression
>
> “Yes, sir.” He stood up and paused
>
> “To identify how powerful a mage is, you have to observe how many ingrains their magic circle has. Two ingrains mean they are a One Lunar Mage, which is the lowest possible.”
>
> “Good job, Mr. D'yer. You may sit down.”
Ryken sat ...That dream again
Clenching his fist, he once again recalls the bloodied, fiery scene under the shining moonlight.
He's here today, because of her, after all.
He waited until classes were finished, observing the clock intently as time ticked away through the lessons.
One final tick, he knew classes were finished. He quickly grabbed his bag and stepped outside.
His footsteps pattered through the hall as he quickly walked back to his dormitory room.
...This dream keeps haunting me. Damn it.
He quickly put his shivering hands on the doorknob as he arrived, then the door creaks slowly.
His room was dimly lit, enough for others to completely see everything. The walls had a board attached with pictures and other things pinned or written.
Ryken hastily undressed from his uniform and went to his drawer, getting his usual clothes and dressing himself.
As he opened his door, a figure appears in front of him.
> “Yo, what’s up?”
>
> “I’m busy, Tyr.”
>
> “So what? I’m your friend-”
>
> “I said I’m busy.”
Ryken dismisses Tyr without hesitation as he closes the door and walks away.
> “Sheesh, such a moody guy.”
Walking through the halls of the school, Ryken’s steps were silenced by the noises of students talking and practicing.
He gently reached for the door and opened it, the gentle lukewarm breeze brushing his skin of a day with blue skies with no clouds penetrating the light of the sun.
Once he stepped outside, out on the hard ground of cobblestone. The smell of freshly watered grass and the sights of butterflies contrasts his mood yet he remains to look straight as he continues walking, a deep hard sound transitioning into a soft mushy sounds of grass.

He abruptly stops, his eyes moving left to right as he observes his surroundings.
Ryken extends his arm forward, forming the magic circle as bright orange as fire itself.
> Two… Four… Five ingrains.
>
> “Fireball,” he muttered, a flame ignites, quickly becoming a fiery ball, heating up the surroundings
>
> “...shoot”
The fireball hurdles towards a tree, but as it reaches the tree instantly falls down into flames, burning it into ash immediately.
> “Ah… Too much?” He spoke as an awkward smile creeped up his face while he observed the burning tree
Ryken looks at his tough-skinned, callused right hand then extends his right arm again and sighs.
> Two… Three Ingrains.
>
> “Fireball,” once again, he muttered, like usual a flame ignites but a bit smaller which becomes a ball of flames
>
> “...shoot.”
This time, the tree didn't instantly fall as the ball reached it and stayed burning instead of turning to ash, clearing his throat as he tries to forget earlier.
> “Well. Alright, that’s good.”
As Ryken inhales, he slightly lifts up his hand and flicked his index finger casually, muttering
> “Firewall, form”
Quickly, bright orange flames ignite from the ground up, heating up the ground and air.
Lifting his arm more, he hastily swings it to the right with a precise movement, then the wall of flames suddenly burst forward, burning up the grass in front of Ryken as it dissipates, leaving a smoldered ground.
His hand went up and rubbed his chin.
> “Hmm… I think that’s good.”
Walking pass the smoldered grass, his hands behind his back then paused. He lifted his hand upwards, a calculated movement.
I couldn't control this last time so I’ll try to do this with sixth ingrains.
Forming and drawing line by line, he finally structures a sixth ingrain magic circle.
> “Spiral Fiery, whirl and ascend.” He chanted beneath his breath
A whirling spiral flame rose and ascended from the ground, immediately burning up the ground into smolder and ash. With a simple and casual yet precise flick of his finger upwards, the flames rose further above.
Rubbing his chin, he put his fingers together and snapped. The flames blew out, its heat blowing outwards to the air.
> “That’s enough for right now.” He whispered, fixing his clothes and dusting it off
He walked back to academy from the woods, the grass already dried from the spells he conducted. The grass was crunchy as Ryken’s shoes stepped on them gently. He opened the door and walked in, spotting his friend, he walked towards him.
> “Tyr, did you study for the test tommorow?”
>
> “Ah… ah shit… I forgot to.” He whispered to Ryken
>
> “Hmm… Come to my room later.” He spoke as he patted Tyr’s back, walking away immediately
>
> “...Sure?”
He arrived to his room, putting his hand on the doorknob, …It’s warm.
He twisted the knob hesitatingly, looking at the small creak of the opening door as he pulled it open.
> Did someone force the door open with fire magic?
He squinted his eyes as he fully opened the door–Nobody was there. Still, suspicious, he walked in slowly. Checking all parts of his room. Hmm… The sword’s missing.
Ryken’s eyes widened, someone was there.
> “Looking for this?” They arrogantly asked
