When Pink and I pass through the door, the quiet halls greet us immediately. While lamps hang in every corner, they do not bring comfort amid the eerie creaking of the wood underfoot.
"I think we should split up," Pink tells me suddenly.
"Eh?!"
Isn't that dangerous?
Maybe Pink will be safe since she is strong, but I barely survived my fight with the shapeshifter on the first day.
"I just have a feeling that she does not want to fight us anymore."
I look at Pink to see if she is serious.
Yep, she is.
"What do you even mean?"

"Look, don't get me wrong. Of course, the shapeshifter will attack you if you look like you're going in for the kill, but maybe the shapeshifter is a bit more 'peaceful' now compared to last time."
"Oookay? So, what would the reason for that be?"
Pink only shrugs. Nice.
Either way, I shall believe her this time. Again.
"In that case, I'll go for the cabin section," I tell Pink.
"Then, I will proceed to the storage area."
We both nod to each other in good luck.
***
I sigh in relief. There is nothing inside the cabins.
At the very least, the ship crew's cabin area.
I stare past the walls towards the cabin of our noble guests. I want to puke just thinking of those guys.
Shall I proceed there?
...
Well, I have no other choice.
I make a few turns, and I now find myself in the hall where the cabins of our esteemed knights are.
It is also quiet in here.
As if.
Accompanying my steps is a noise of rummaging in one of the knights' cabins.
Just my luck. I want to run away and call for backup.
Before I can force myself to turn back, though, Pink's words reverberate on my mind.
I just have a feeling that she does not want to fight us anymore.
Shall I enter with my sword sheathed? Yeah, right. As if that worked the first time.
However, since I do not want to look too intimidating, I shall cross my arms with my sword pointing behind my back.
Silently creeping towards the door, I suddenly have the urge to knock.
