I'm putting The Worlds Beyond on an indefinite hiatus.
There's a couple of reasons for this, first and foremost being that trying to write more chapters is getting progressively more difficult. I wrote this story purely for the magazine competition and came up with both the concept and first draft in, like a week. For comparison, my primary writing project New Eden Online had almost a year of preparation, writing, and revisions before I made my first post.
I don't want to abandon the story completely, because I do think the idea has some potential, but I want to give it the time it deserves instead of trying to force it further for the sake of competition.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Another reason I want to stop it for now is that there are countless details that I made mistakes on that wouldn't be there if I took my time to write it properly. If/when I return to this project, it will probably come with a massive revision to previous chapters.
The last reason is that to write this I've practically abandoned New Eden Online. I haven't written anything for it in nearly a month at this point and have been relying purely on my reserve chapters to make posts. I've tried balancing both for the last two weeks but it just isn't working. It might be due to complications with my personal life, but I just can't split my focus right now.
Maybe I'll come back sooner than later if more people get interested in it, but for now I'm shelving it.
Sincerely,
rivalThoughts
