STUPIDITY

Nine simultaneous meetings in the companies in charge of Mexico, all of them of the highest priority, different people, same arguments, identical objectives, corporate scavengers.

The discourse is so similar that one can reproduce one to know the rest:

"Since the unification of the company we have not expanded our commercial borders, we sell enough to stay on top; we own land in three states; we manage six take-out brands; we have models of auto transport, governors and senators; we provide medicine and police protection, which is nothing new, the nine of us have practically the same; we have grown as much as we could, we improved our products and diversified until we encompassed everything. We stored wealth in a very satisfying tranquility.

But no more! Today we received confirmation from our spies, the biggest company has fallen, those arrogant ones went against the mafia and paid dearly... and now it is our turn, the opportunity to grow beyond what none of our families planned, we will be bigger than the rest and our family name will have more concessions in government and we will be owners of a sustained growth for dozens of years!

There is always a problem, this is that we are not allowed to attack the leaders of the other companies because there are very strict laws among us. We are self-sufficient in almost everything, but some of what is produced by the others we still need; except for the deceased, we still depend on the others, but if we take over their business... imagine the possibilities — they all did it — how do we replace them? We can't send our spies or the assassins with which countries are invaded, for... ahem! resources. Does anyone have an idea? — One of them came out of each meeting with such an idea, "Then could you explain it? In the words of the eight, the idea was summed up in five points:

1. Hire members of the mafia to avoid misunderstandings among

misunderstandings between companies.

2. Assassination of the CEOs of rival companies.

3. Dismissal of middle management personnel.

1. Understanding and incorporating the missing technology in our companies.

2. Take possession of the products and services offered.

Are we all agreed? — Everyone did — then so be it. Today you will contact the various mobs so that this plan will be in place a week from today. That is all. I hope we can make a lot of profits for our company, good afternoon gentlemen."

In exactly one week the plans were carried out, none of the managers survived. The mafia was very effective, but there was no one to pay their fees, there was not a single CEO left in the companies to sign the checks. As a consequence, the different mafia societies felt insulted and revenge fell on the remaining members and distant families, no one came with nonsense in serious business.
