nyx was abruptly cut off from what he was saying because his family opened their eyes wide as a system prompt popped up in front of them explaining what would happen, his father calmed down fast and started scrolling thru the list of what would happen when the mana surge starts, looking thru it all his fathers face turned grave and he had a solemn look on his face, taking a deep breath for what felt like the fifth time, he calmed down and started planning what to do.

"First we need to leave the city, we can't be here when the chaos begins, the log cabin should be our best bet, it has a good enough fence to keep things out and enough rooms for us, second we need to stock up on food, non-perishable since we don't know how long we will be staying there, something to defend our self with would also be good, is there anything else I am missing.

after his father listed the things they needed to do he look up at his family to see if he missed anything.

"the babies they can't handle the cold there, get them something like a heater, and an oxygen tank for emergencies, and in case the electricity doesn't work lots of blankets, we will also need-"
