Chapter 1

"...humble yourself and the world is yours"

The only thing that went through his mind now was this one sentence. This one simple sentence that to Alexander meant nothing in his past cozy life.

After coming to this new world he thought he knew what it meant so he layed low, grew a farm, and lived his life as simple as he could.

Unfortunately laying on his trampled field, a field that had been worked for 6 months making him 18 now.

Once more the people who did this were the so-called soldiers of an elven noble. The noble was a pure-blood elve who thought purebloods superior to the half breeds, forcing them to live life like slaves. Taxing them heavenly and confining them to live outside the city.

The reason the soldiers visited him was that he was a half-blood elve because his ears were round and his height was shorter than the average elf and appeared more similar to a man.

Were it not for the fact of his vibrant green eyes he would be mistaken for a human. It wasn't that humans could have green eyes they could but they would be a dull green.

At first, he had denounced cultivation due to what had happened in his past life but now it appeared that he had no choice if he wanted to live a peaceful life he would need to destroy these stupid racial ideologies.

In this world there were little to no technological advancements the farm that Alexander had although no one noticed was a feat of engineering. Alexander had come from a world where technology and cultivation were balanced, but in this world cultivation was ahead of its technology.

Alexander decided to redact his opinion on cultivation and entered his shack to cultivate.

After 1 month of secluded cultivation, Alexander’s attackers were no longer a match with a wave of his hand he could eliminate them with little to no effort. This was all thanks to the cultivation method he used in his past life.

Alexander decided it was time to build an empire built for free people and free from prejudice, but this time when he built his empire he would do it right. This time he would avoid a tragedy that befell him in his past.

Flying from his tiny shack he went out to seek a suitable place for his empire, after some time he located a massive mountain with a cave entrance at the foot of it.

The ability to fly was something only extremely strong cultivators could achieve but with his immortal cultivation technique he could fly far earlier than any cultivator.

He proceeded into the cave to have a look around. After a few inches in the cave the light had become dimmer and dimmer.

Snapping his fingers caused a light neither hot nor cold to appear on the tip of his index finger illuminating his surroundings looking around he thought he had wasted his time.

All of a sudden a reflective light had caught the corner of his eye.

“Could this be ?” he picked up a stone no bigger than a baseball and began emitting a faint green glow. What he thought was a stone was actually a Malachite ore chunk, a small one at that but nonetheless an ore chunk.

Malachite was a rare metal that could be used for all sorts of contraptions from tools to armor, most importantly it could be used for storing energy. In fact that's why it had started glowing, the metal had absorbed the energy from the light that Alexander had created. It was an extremely valuable resource,

If this metal could be refined and put to use he could use it as a rechargeable resource.

“This is it, this is where the capital will be.”

Envisioning a great city replace the emptiness of the cave, Alexander began plotting, he would first gather the other half breed and shelter them under one banner of course this was easier said than done.

The half breeds were oppressed but would that alone be enough to convince them to follow him? Of course not and Alexander knew this he was no fool. He needed to show a feat of strength.

On the way to the cave he now presided in he had passed a couple of villages that were clearly doing poorly under the nobles regime. This was partially why he had stayed away from villages but even then the so called “Soldiers” still came knocking on his shack demanding taxes.

Before he decided to leave the mountain he had to place an Illusion array in order to hide the entrance of the mountain. After finishing the Array Alexander flew to the closest village.

Getting closer and closer, strange sounds could be heard coming from the village where Alexander had decided to fly too making it clear to Alexander that something was wrong at the village.

As soon as arriving within thirty feet of the village a women’s yell could be heard screaming for help.

It looked like instead of finding an opportunity to gain the trust of the villagers the opportunity had come to him.

Looking down from high above the clouds for the source of the cry for help Alexander could see that the villagers were rounded up in the center of the village. Flying down he could see some familiar faces in the crowd of people. It was the soldiers that had assaulted him one month ago.

The world was surely on his side first; it handed him the opportunity to win the villagers' hearts but also the gift to serve justice to the soldiers.

Reaching the ground Alexander had identified 40 or so soldiers. Much more than the ones who came to pillage his home.

“Hey what are you doing here? didn't have enough last time I beat you ?” One of the soldiers had recognised Alexander but that's the only thing he had recognised. He  had not recognised that he was not the young man that he once was, the soldier failed to see how his body radiated cultivator energy.

“Long time no see” Alexander smiled and began walking closer and closer to the soldier.

“I guess ima have to teach you another le- '' before the soldier could finish his sentence a palm thrusted out hitting his body and sending him flying through a house causing instant death.

.

Alexander was no longer a man of revenge like in his past life but he couldn’t help to think *Justice feels pretty good*

Moving to eliminate the soldiers one by one. Every move he made had purpose Alexander wasted none of them. Within a matter of seconds he had reached the location of the screaming woman. She was being picked up by the neck and was covered in injuries.

Cutting the soldiers arm with a slash of his fingertips Alexander freed the woman and continued mowing down the helpless soldiers.

Once the soldiers were exterminated Alexander moved towards the woman who he had just rescued. She was sitting on the ground unable to take in what just happened. She was unable to comprehend how one man just took out 40 soldiers in less than a minute and how that man now was moving in her direction.

As Alexander inched closer to her she became more and more frightened.

*She was next* she thought and began quivering in fear. Her legs shaking unable to move like a deer trapped in headlights.

Alexander stopped moving after reaching her..

“Please... Don't...” the Woman closed her eyes trying to ready herself, instead of feeling pain she felt a warm light envelop her.

She opened her eyes and the injuries caused by the soldier were no longer there; they had magically disappeared.

Before she was able to thank Alexander he began addressing the villagers. “Why did the soldiers attack you?”.

When Alexander asked the question only one person answered. An old man wearing shabby clothing and grey hair.

“They demanded we pay taxes, but if we paid them we would have starved. Winter is coming and we barely have enough to feed our children, but when we tried pleading with them they became agitated. That's when the young lady Emil you saved tried calming them down and that's when they attacked her. ” the old man spoke in a somber tone.

Looking back at the woman he had just healed Alexander had just noticed she wasn't a woman but a young lady no more than 21 years old but not younger than 19.

“Old man are you the village elder?” asked Alexander.

The old man nodded his head “Yes I am.”

“Village Elder, I am building a village somewhere not far from here although there's no homes or farms  I can give you protection, I would like you and your people to help me build a village free from the oppression.”

Before the Village Elder could answer a female voice spoke out it was Emil the girl he had just saved.

“I… I would like to follow you.” Emil said shakingly. “You saved my life and I am indebted to you.” She followed.

“Well it’s not like we can stay here can we? When the noble hears about what happened here we’ll all be blamed.” the village said referring to the villagers.

“Very well, please gather the gold the soldiers had on them and take only what you can carry. ' Alexander replied.

Alexander began leading them to the foot of the mountain. About three hundred villagers followed him and among the 300 only about fifty percent were capable of working and about a tenth of that were skilled laborers such as blacksmiths, whitesmiths etc.

After about 45 minutes of walking they had finally reached their destination.

Alexander needed to fund an education system that would be able to increase the skilled labor pool, but before that he would need to earn gold.He had some gold from the soldiers but He needed a steady source of income  he could sell some of the Malachite ore but that might catch unwanted attention.

*If we use the farming techniques from my world then we could mass-produce food and we could undercut the prices of other merchants.* Alexander thought to himself

Addressing his people Alexander looked at them and asked “Who here knows how to farm?”

Fifty or so men and women stepped forward signaling they were the farmers of their old village.

“Let me show you where you can set your farm as for the rest of you who can work please chop the surrounding trees and bring the wood inside the mountain and build tents we half about 8 hours till night sets in.”

Leading the farmers from the rest of the villager’s Alexander moved them about 50 feet to the right of the base of the mountain. Alexander began explaining the process of crop rotation as well as an unusual method of farming that utilizes canals filled with water and fish. In which the fish would eat the pests that destroy crops like purple jade grasshoppers and the fish would revitalize the land with their poop and while the fish reproduce it could be a suitable source of meat.

This was the same method he used on his farm before the soldier came knocking although it was on a much smaller scale.

The purple jade grasshopper was a nasty pest that could decimate farmers harvest if allowed to reproduce this would ensure that there was no possibility of a destroyed harvest.

When Alexander was done explaining this new unseen, unheard, and unconventional farming method they were skeptical but of course it also made sense to them in theory.

“Ill go capture some fish for the canals, dig out the canals first and then fill them with water i will take charge of gathering the fish, oh and one more thing” alexander almost forgot the most important part “all the proceeds will be yours minus the 10 percent tax”

The villager’s eyes began gleaming in joy. “Did he just say 10% tax?” they began whispering amongst themselves? This was the greatest news they had heard before they would be charged 85% tax.

The taxes were set so low because not only was it good that the people had something to work for other than surviving it increased the morale and the work efficiency of the villagers. Not only that with the new farming techniques the villagers would no longer suffer from malnutrition increasing life expectancy which would in turn increase the taxable workforce.

Not only was he gonna use the fish for the canal he also needed to go out and hunt for food for the villagers, it was a “Kill two birds with one stone”.

The villagers began digging the canals with the tools they had brought with them and alexander began hunting
