It was on Monday 10th, 08.00 morning  in The City of Grasbern;  a long-haired girl went to University of Aedirn. She took a major of Applied Chemistry and this was her first day in university. She arrived at the university and she passed through the front gate.

As she passed through the gate, she walked slowly on cobblestone path observing her surroundings. She saw people sitting, chatting, and walking around. After she wandered around she arrived at a big square on the centre with many roads. There was a big road that connects to the University of Aedirn Main Building. As this was her first day in university, she didn’t want to be late for her class. Without any delay, she passed the big square and she entered the main building.

Then she began to search for her classroom. The Applied Chemistry major was on the second floor and her classroom was Class-A2 according to the University of Aedirn New Student Guide. Just across the main building entrance door, there was an elevator and a ladder on her left side. She decided to take the ladder as her classroom is nearby on the second floor.

Arrived on the second floor, the long-haired girl saw a long corridor with many different rooms. She began to look at the rooms to find Class-A2. She found Class-A2; it was the second room in the corridor of the second floor. “this is it...!” She said excitedly.

The long-haired girl entered the classroom. She immediately took a seat in the third desk from the front, second across the window on the left-side of the classroom. The classroom was about 10 meters length, 10 meters width, and 4 meters height. Inside the classroom; there was a big whiteboard to write and describing lectures, the desk was arranged to be single desk 4 x 5 (vertical x horizontal), The lecturer desk in front-centre of the classroom, four parallel windows on the left-side and the right-side of the classroom, the classroom door was on the right-side of the classroom. There were other 20 students inside, waiting for the homeroom lecturer to come.  

In 09.00, The homeroom lecturer entered the classroom. Apparently the homeroom lecturer was a young lady.

“Good morning class.” the homeroom lecturer greeted.

“Good morning ma’am.” the students said altogether.

“Welcome to Aedirn University; Applied Science Faculty, 10th Generation of Applied Chemistry Major.” the homeroom lecturer said.

“First things first, let’s get to know each other shall we?”

“My name is Alexia Mercer. But you can just call me Ms. Al.”

Alexia Mercer, or Ms. Al was the homeroom teacher for Class-A2 Applied Chemistry Major. She was a graduate of Aedirn University Applied Chemistry Major 5th Generation, so she was only apart 5 years older than the 10th generation. She was a beautiful lady with silver coloured back-length long hair, fair coloured skin, a strong yet feminine face, sharp but not too large nose, nice natural tapered eyes, and 170 cm height with hourglass figure. She was wearing black three-pieces suit with knee-length skirt. Before she was a homeroom lecturer for Applied Chemistry Major of Aedirn University, she was a lecturer of Analytical Chemistry Subject for one year. But the Aedirn University officials had seen her capabilities in dealing with people, and they promoted her to be a homeroom lecturer.

“let’s do an attendance checking.”

“Alberto Setrus.” Ms. Al said; calling the first name on the absent list.

“Yes ma’am.” Setrus answered.

“Arenalia Dergia.” Ms. Al continued

“Present, ma,am.” Gia replied.

“Asteria Beltis.”

“I am present ma’am.” Aster replied.

Asteria Beltis, or Aster was the long-haired girl that has been described in the beginning of the story. She was your typical dream university girl-friend; round yet slim pretty face, black long hair, 165 cm tall with feminine athletic figure. she was a kind and good-natured girl, and she really liked helping others in need.

Ms. Al continued the attendance checking until all twenty students of Class-A2 has been called. All 20 students were present in the day apparently.

“as this is your first day, we will not conduct the lecture yet. So for now, all of you can just having free time in the class. Try to get familiar with each other.” Ms. Al explained the students.

“Yes ma’am.” the students said.

“I will left the classroom for now. I will be back on 11.00 to end the class session.”

Ms. Al left the classroom. The students began to communicate with each other. Basically the students introduced their names to each other, telling the reason why they took applied chemistry major, where they live, their hobbies, etc.

Time flew; it was 11.00 and Ms. Al went back to the classroom.

“All right class. It is 11.00 and you can go home now. Tomorrow the lecture will begin. Please bring your stationery and notebook, as you will need to do a lot of note writing because in applied chemistry we have so many notes and formulas.” Ms. Al said.

“Yes ma’am.” the students said.

Aster and the other students started to tidy up their belongings and the classroom. Some of the students decided to hang out, chatting each other, and having lunch together.

Aster went home early from the university as she didn’t want to waste her private time. She went out through the main gate. Her house is not far from her campus; it was only a 10 minutes walk.

When Aster just got out from the university main gate, it started to rain. Aster started to run to her house as she didn’t  want to catch a cold from the rain.

Aster ran, looking on the path below here as she was watching for obstacles that could stumble her feet. The rain suddenly increased, becoming a heavy rain with lightning. Because of the heavy rain, Aster could not see clearly.

There was a big, muscular 195 cm tall guy that also ran to find shelter from the heavy rain. He apparently ran the opposite direction of Aster. Like Aster, he also could not see clearly because of the heavy rain. Then Aster and the big guy bumped, crashed into each other.

After Aster bumped with the big guy, those two suddenly disappeared. They disappeared just like in a matter of second, in a zap with some kind of thick violet aura when the disappearance occurred. Those two have moved into another place, another realm that they have never encountered in their life. Aster and the big guy have arrived in the another world for the first time.

“Aaaahh…” Aster groaned.

“Uunff…” The big guy also groaned.

“What the… where am I…? Who are you…?” Aster asked with flustered expression, full of confusion.

“Hmm… I could say the same, you know…” the big guy said.

Both Aster and the big guy have arrived in a strange, cold dark place. The place was an open field scattered with stones and rocks, all in black colour. Aster started to use her cell phone flashlight.

“my name is Asteria Beltis. You can call me Aster.” Aster introduced her name to the big guy.

“my name is Edgar Arthur Henselt Silberschwert. You can just call me Edgar.” the big guy also introduced his name.

“Woah… your full name is so long… Are you part of the kingdom? Or maybe an important family?

“I am part of Silberschwert Family. We are the family that has been crafting the weapon and armour for The Kingdom of Verulia for generations.” Edgar answered.

“Oooh, I see… you are indeed come from an important family.”

“By the way, where are we? Is this a dream…?” Aster said.

“well, if this is a dream I think we better wake up now.” Edgar answered.

“Hmmmpp, come on and wake up!” Aster yelled.

“WAKE UP!”

…

Apparently no one woke up.

“Hmm, I can try to wound myself to make sure this is real or just a dream.” Edgar said confidently.

“wound yourself how?” Aster asked.

“I happen to have my small blade here. I will make a small incision on my arm. Then I will pour the dripping blood on your hands, Aster. If I feel pain and you feel the blood dripping, then surely this is real and not just a dream.”

“Wha…? Is that really okay, Edgar?” Aster asked, worried.

“Don’t worry. I have been through more painful experience. When I was 10 years old, I have been stabbed in my stomach when our caravan was ambushed by bandits. And here I am, survived.” said Edgar, reminisced his past.

“Whoa… well, apparently nobles and important family have their problems too.” Aster said.

“Okay, let me just make the incision now…”

Edgar started to make a small incision on his left upper arm. His blood started to drip. Aster closed her hands to receive Edgar’s dripping blood.

“I do feel pain when I make the incision. Do you feel my blood dripping, Aster?”

“I do… so, this is not a dream…?”

“It seems so, yes. Apparently this is real.” Edgar answered.

“Whh… WHAT THE…!? Oh my…” Aster said, almost cried.    

“Hm, calm down Aster. What we need to do now is looking for an exit to our home from whatever this place is.” Edgar said, trying to make Aster calm down.

“Uuuhh… okay.” Aster calmed down.

“Let’s walk. We might find something.” Edgar said.

Aster and Edgar started to explore the place, with hope they would find an escape. They walked while creating a straight line on the ground, marked their path to make sure they didn’t go back to where they have been appeared in this another world.

They walked straight for around 10 minutes. All they see was black sand and rocks. The sky is also dark, they really could not see without the help of their cellphone flashlight. Then they arrived on an open field. On that field, Aster started to hear something.

“Do you hear that, Edgar?” Aster asked.

“I don’t hear anything…” Edgar Answered.

“What do you hear, Aster?”

“I don’t know… I hear a sound like something is cracking and flowing below us.” said Aster.

After a few seconds, suddenly a creature appeared from the ground. It was a red giant worm, emitting foul smell. The giant worm’s head had a mouth surrounded by some large outer fangs and lots of small inner sharp teeth. it was around five meters long, one meter width.

“Eeeeeekk…!!” Aster yelled, surprised and panicking.

“What now…?” Edgar mumbled.

The giant worm attacked those two. It hurled its body to attack. Edgar and Aster both dodged the giant worm hurl. Edgar started to shield Aster and fight the creature.

“A monster! And it is disgusting…! What should we do??” Aster yelled.

“Aster, take my cell phone hide behind one of the rocks!” Edgar shouted.

Without any words, Aster grabbed Edgar’s cell phone and start to hide behind one of the large rocks.

“(Shit, I only bring my small blade with me… hope I can utilize this blade.)” Edgar thought inside his mind while he drew his small blade.

“Hyaah!” Edgar yelled while charging towards the giant worm.

Edgar stabbed the creature. The giant worm was bleeding, wriggling in pain. Its blood was black in colour. The giant worm did not pipe down, it fought back trying to bite Edgar. The giant worm seemed hungry. Edgar dodged the bite. Then he started to wrestle and hug the giant worm, stabbing the creature’s mid body rapidly. Edgar hugged the giant worm just behind its mouth, so the giant worm could not bite him.

Meanwhile, Aster was hiding behind a big rock. She was using her and Edgar’s cell phone flashlight to illuminate the surroundings; so Edgar could see while fighting the giant worm. They both were lucky because the cell phone battery was fully charged.

“(What the hell is happening…? why suddenly we moved to this scary dark place with a disgusting giant worm attacking us…?)” Aster grumbled inside her mind.

Edgar kept on stabbing the giant worm while hugging the creature. The giant worm became weaker and weaker as it bled a lot. After a while, the giant worm stopped moving. It was dead. Finally Edgar defeated the giant worm. Edgar seemed to be a little bit tired after the battle.

“Huufft…” Edgar caught his breath.

“Aster, are you okay??” Edgar shouted to Aster from afar.

“Yes, yes! I am okay.” Aster answered.

Suddenly the big rock where aster was hiding start to move. It opened and formed a gigantic male humanoid body. It became a black golem-like creature. It stood about 10 meters tall. It had yellow bright eyes that shine in the dark, a dome shaped head, and inhumanely big hands.

“What in the world… first a red gigantic worm… now a more gigantic golem appears…” Edgar said.

“Kyaaaaaaahh…!!!!” Aster screamed and cried. She was very scared because she was never been in any combat situation before.

The golem looked right away to Aster as she was standing near it. The golem then threw its fist directed to Aster.

“Aster! Look Out!!” Edgar shouted to Aster.

As that golem thrown its fist and Aster screamed, suddenly a green globe barrier-like aura appeared around Aster and Edgar. Before the golem punch hit Aster, both Aster and Edgar disappeared from the strange dark place. Both were saved from the red giant worm and the golem-like creature attack.
