Once the duo woke up, they shamefully had lunch and then met up again with the old dragon. They were nervous beyond belief but the old dragon ignored it so that they could relax a bit.
«Now we shall begin your actual training.» (Old dragon)
They looked at each other with several doubts written all over their faces. The old dragon led them outside of the city into an open plain nearby.
«You're going to train your combat together now. You can start by fighting while both are in human form but later on, I want you to ride her in dragon form.» (Old dragon)
Zey turns red along with Eshriel.
«Not that riding...» (Old dragon)
The old dragon sighed telling himself that this was all their fate. He couldn't believe his granddaughter and her fated one, both who had great fates, were kinky like this. He could only lie to himself that this was their fate as well.
After a few sloppy hours of watching the duo complain about their lack of teamwork and coordination, the old dragon saw someone approaching. The young boy was wearing a half-broken mask and had a metal arm. Other than that, he would blend into the masses quite easily as he looked like a normal person. That is, for the naked eye. The old dragon appraised the boy and realized immediately that this was the leader. The monster without fate that would lead the group along with his beloved one.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
«I see you are taking good care of them. I expected nothing less from a legendary dragon.» (Fateless Monster)
The old dragon was extremely uneasy and nervous yet he held all that in.
«Yes, but they are quite the handful.» (Old dragon)
The old dragon forced a smile that almost looked real. Of course, the monster saw right through it.
«No need to be like that. You are training my allies so I assume you are my ally as well. Unless you have some hidden objectives of course...» (Fateless Monster)
The monster didn't even finish his sentence but it was clear that he would not let him go would he ever show any intention of betraying him. The old dragon felt deep fear. This boy was a monster. A true monster capable of ruining the gods. He was sure of it. He is a legendary dragon but as a dragon of wisdom, he wasn't even going to put the possibility of betraying this boy on the table. Betrayal was death.
But weirdly enough, he had noticed that his allies seem to have a deep trust for him. He had seen that in Zey. Occasionally, his allies would be the topic of conversation and no matter how much he complained about them, he never even thought of abandoning them. It's as if all of the ones on that team have a bond deeper than anyone could think of. Perhaps as deep as a lover's bond. It was all a mystery for the old dragon.
He could only go with it.

' How did it go? '
' Shut up! With this, I'm sure they'll be ready in a few weeks. '
-I better go check on the dwarf as well. He's probably done the thing already.-
