Masked Savior
In the world of magic and monsters, there lived a boy named Emmic, who possessed the destructive power of a god. Yet, in a world where strength was everything, Emmic hid his true abilities, allowing others to bully and mock him as if he were the weakest among them. Despite the torment, he remained calm, concealing his immense power and living life quietly, unnoticed by those around him.
One day, Emmic's class was assigned a mission to exterminate monsters on the infamous Mt. Renzoni. Among the ruins of a village destroyed by these creatures, Emmic found a small, broken girl. Her eyes were empty, her spirit seemingly crushed. Emmic felt something shift inside him as he stared into her lifeless gaze. While his teammates began to taunt and abuse him as usual, calling him useless for hesitating, he ignored their words. Instead, he knelt before the girl, reaching out to comfort her. She fainted, her frail body collapsing into his arms.
Without a second thought, Emmic carried her back to Ettug High, the prestigious academy for young adventurers. Upon arrival, he begged for help from the other students and teachers. But no one came to her aid; no one even cared. Frustrated and desperate, Emmic rushed to his dorm, gathering all the money he had saved. He fled to the most expensive healing facility in the city—The Grand Magic Healer's Hospital—hoping to save the girl.

Hours passed. Emmic waited anxiously for news. Finally, after five grueling hours, the doctor appeared. "Physically, the girl is fine," he began to say, but Emmic rushed past him, eager to see her. He entered her room to find her peacefully asleep, relief flooding his heart.
As he thanked the healers, they coldly responded, "We don't care for your gratitude, boy. Just pay the bill."
The cost was astronomical—500,000,000 Shards, far beyond what Emmic had. He only had 10,000,000 Shards to his name. Trembling, he told the healers, "I don't have that much."
With an indifferent glance, one healer replied, "If you can't pay within two months, we'll sell the girl to the slave traders. Your time starts now."
Something dark stirred in Emmic. His usual calm demeanor was replaced by a chilling aura of death. His eyes glowed with restrained power as he stared down the healer. "Touch her, and I'll end you," he growled, his voice cold. "I'll bring the money in three weeks."
Determined, Emmic left the hospital and headed straight to the Adventurer's Guild. Disguising himself, he donned a long black cloak and a mask to hide his identity. Upon entering the bustling guild, the usual crowd of adventurers paid him no mind at first. But his menacing aura and determined stride made heads turn.
Approaching the guild receptionist, a cute black beastfolk girl with cat ears and a swishing tail, Emmic spoke in a low, fearsome tone. "I need to sign up as an adventurer," he said, his voice sending chills down her spine.
