CHAPTER 5

“Stupid!” I yell, flinging a pillow across the room. “Alexa’s stupid! This is stupid! I’m stupid!” I say sinking in a chair. It is indeed true. I mumble, “Stupid that I thought we could be friends.”. I don’t want to be here just as much as she doesn’t want me to be here. I’m sick of it. Wait. Dot, dot, dot. I have a solution. Dot, dot, dot. (Yes, I am saying Dot, Dot, Dot) I’ll- I’ll… I’ll run away! Not like anyone will miss me.

I was in the 4th grade and my bully was picking on me with a few of his friends. He dared me to skip school, and even bet 10 dollars if I did it, but, I was too scared. ‘Wimp’ he had said. Well, I won't be a wimp again. I’ll do it.

“Money? Check. Clothes? Check. Phone? Check. Food? I need to check. Debit Card? Check? Wait. I do have food. So check.”. I pick up my bag and start for the window. Alexa should be home any minute so I need to get out of here quickly. I've gone absolutely mad. But, you gotta do what you got to do. I hop out the window and carefully make my way down the roof. I hop to the ground with a loud “THUD!”. I wait at the bus stop for 5 minutes until I see a familiar face coming down the path. It’s Alexa! And she spotted me! As she made her way towards me, the bus comes. I hop on not a moment too soon. She screams something but I can’t hear her. I just sit down and take out my phone. I’m going to miss mama.

“What the hell are you thinking!” said a random, yet familiar voice. I look up, only to find Alexa glaring down at me.
