Chapter 1-Heavens Decision

Chapter 1-Heavens Decision

It was dark. No light or anything.

“Am I dreaming”

I thought aloud and started moving. Then some voice I did not recognize started speaking. It started soft so I couldn’t understand  a word, but as it got louder the darkness surrounding me also seem to seep away.

” wak…..up….ou…tard…hey you awake yet?”

As the voice got louder the darkness finally disappeared. I sat up and looked around for a second before noticing that there was a beautiful women staring at me.

“GAAAAHHHHH”

“Now that’s no way to react to a lady”

“Guh… Um… Uh.. Sorry…I guess?”

“What do you mean you guess?! What kind of apology was that!? Well whatever”

While the women angrily glared at me I finally noticed that everything around us wasn’t actually all white. The walls were multicolored but very unnoticeable. If I concentrated on the wall and squinted I could see the multiple colors that actually swam round in the white tiled walls. After being fascinated by the wall the very patient but angry lady started speaking again.

“Sooo ..are you finished staring at the wall?”

“Umm…yeah…do you know where this is?”

“Yes I do child. This realm we are currently in would be what you humans call heaven. To be exact we are in one of the judgement cells to decided where to send you”

“..He..Heaven?!… Wait send me..what do you mean send me? Am I not staying here?”

“Of course not. While you were sleeping we went through your memories and used it to base our decision off of that. We’re sending you to be reincarnated “

“*sigh* I thought you were going to send me to hell for a second. Wait reincarnation?”

“You are a slow one aren’t you? Yes you will be reincarnated into one of the many worlds at random.”

“How come I can’t stay in heaven”

“Full of questions huh. The main reason why you were not sent to hell or allowed to stay in heaven is because your life was insignificant.”

“Whhuut”

“Yes you heard me. In your life you have caused no harm but you have not helped anyone either. Because of this we do not have enough information to judge you on so we send people like you to be reincarnated. This way we are able to get more information to judge you upon and send you to the corresponding realm depending on how you lived life in this new world.”

Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit.

“…….”

“Really no reaction? Did you even understand a word I said because I’m not going to explain it again”

I understood all of what the lady said but reincarnation. This could allow me to restart on Blacksmithing! My face slowly warped from the confused frown to a mischievous grin.

“You know you look creepy smiling like that”

“Oh sorry but I have another question. Would any of these worlds have magic?”

I didn’t mention time period because usually if people had magic they don’t utilize technology and science. Well i hope I was right but anime and lightnovels can only take you so far.

“Yes most worlds are in the “middle ages” with magic if you will. Oh and did I mention I could read minds. So I know how you want to be a blacksmith, and I still have your memories”

As she said the last sentence she turned around to grab a book that looked like a dictionary. She immediately started flipping through pages and read its content to me.

“You at the age of nine started to watch ‘anime’. Then at the age of twenty started learning how to smith. At the age of thirty you died from falling off a movie set”

I froze up the moment she read off events from my life. I didn’t understand at first but finally decided the book must be what held what happened over the course of my life.

After reading the book the lady closed the book and set it down. She then looked at me with a firm gaze and started speaking.

“You will now be sent off to be reincarnated and stripped of your name from your past life. As of now you will only have memories of yourself but they will be incomplete. You may take this as a test to see if you are allowed to be in heaven or sent  to the depths of hell”

Right as she finished, the walls started becoming brighter as if the sun was in the room. The temperature immediately rose to the point where it felt like I was sitting on fire. as this was happening the lady who I assume is a goddess smiled and said something but the walls had start cracking creating large amounts of noise. As the walls finally fell apart and the light blinded me I then loss conscious. Before I completely blacked out I remembered the words that the goddess tried to say.

If I read her lips right her words were:

“May luck guide you through the this new world. I bid thee farewell and welcome thee to the world of Gaia, Mr. Blacksmith”
