A streamer with a bright pink headset on and unnaturally large eyes flickered onto the channel. Her handle was outlined in neon pink that pulsed to the beat of the background music. Her hair was a deep green that contrasted with her headset almost painfully. She couldn’t have been older than twenty, if that.

“And my third favorite player in the game right now is … ‘The Lark’.”
A picture of Mia Lark appeared on screen. Her gray eyes were dark and she had dirt smudged on her face. She was crouched down pulling back on her bow with bright pink magic gathering on the arrowhead. The helm she wore, shaped as a fierce boar, had eyes that glowed pink as magic streamed from it. The image was from when Mia and Shift were fighting in the forest against the minions for the boss battle.
“The Lark came out of nowhere and I’ve finally subbed this morning. None of the major Corps can claim her, and she’s kicking ass! Though, I’m a little worried at how bogged down she'll get running the guild, The Warhog Paladins.” The streamer snorted. “We all know how that can be a trap if you’re too low level, and Lark here is only level thirteen. She has ways to catch up, but I have faith she’ll get there.”
“Well, she’s an arcane archer, a class that last truly shone, what, three years ago?” cut in another streamer, who appeared on the screen. This one had a bright blue headset and his gamer tag labeled him as Revivium’s Fav. He was older than the first girl by several years, and he’d clearly had work done on his face. Something was off ever so slightly with his slightly too-pretty cheekbones. Still, his bright blue eyes were sharp and bright as he spoke.

Sockem rolled her large eyes at the guy. “Let me guess, you have a story about your time in Revivium?”
“Nope, just adding that it's a great build, but she’s going off track with those constitution modifiers. Usually, we only see that when someone is prepping to exit the game, but it doesn’t look like she’s on that track,” said Revivium’s Fav.
“But she has Masi, and that throws everything off,” said Sockem. “An armored pet, that should be a mount eventually.”
“Nope,” said Revivium’s Fav. “She gave it too much intelligence.”
“Yeah, but Masi has his own fan group forming,” said Sockem. A picture appeared, showing the armored cat headbutting Lark’s knee. It looked to be a social media post that was still very active with new comments about the cat appearing seconds apart. All sorts of comments about how much they loved Masi.
“If the cat gets her killed, it doesn’t matter. Look at what happened with–” His voice was cut off midstream but his lips kept moving.
Sockem held up a finger waving it back and forth. “You know we can’t talk about the unreleased footage! That’s going to come out later this week.” She turned back to the camera. “I don’t care what anyone says, The Lark kicks ass and I can’t wait to see what she does next!” The very pink young woman chuckled. “Well, his feed will be cut for the next hour for breaking the rules. As we all know, you can’t talk about what hasn’t been released yet!” The image of the guy flickered off and she laughed. “What do you think about the rivalry brewing between The Lark and….”
