Awhile Back
[Give up, it's your destiny to die!] a growl like voice said in a sadistic tone.
[Alios! Watch out!] Just as a childish voice screamed out, Alios immediately dived down. In the next mere second, glistening silver claws, stained in a rustic red, swiped at where Alios had been. The speed was so incredible an after image had appeared, had the little child screamed out to Alios a single second later, he would have been a goner.
A chill ran down his spine, his instincts flared screaming at the imminent demise that seemed to be quickly surrounding them. Black shadows appeared from all round the forest trees, vibrant violet eyes peering at them with blood thirsty malice.
[Azol!] Alios took the opportunity to kick out from his position on the floor. His target was the knee of the wolfman that stood before him, ready to make another attempt at Alios’s life. In mere seconds, the sound of bones breaking and skin tearing filled loomed heavily in the air. With the amount of strength Alios exerted - comparable to five Demonic Red Fist Gorilla that’s three times stronger than an normal gorilla - the patella was basically crushed into dust. The upper half of the tibia and fibula shattered and ripped through the back of the wolfman’s leg, while the rest of the bones became misplaces and stabbed at pieces of meat and muscle. Dark crimson blood sprayed and gushed out, filling the air with a scent of death.
The wolfman fell down screaming and howling, a second of fear and shock filled the surrounding wolfman. This was enough. Alios scrambled towards Azol and took his tiny trembling hand and made a break for it to a clearing only a few feet away.
Alois knew, despite having strength slightly above the wolfmen, he was a member of the Dragon Star Demons. A fully grown dragon star demon had strength comparable or even slightly higher than a purebreed dragon, and whether in the sky or on land, they would be able to display their full potential. On the other hand, young dragon star demons, could only show their full potential in the sky.
As such the wolfmen had four major advantages working for them. First, the forest was their territory. They knew it better than Alios could ever hope to and given how big Endora Forest is, it’d take a lifetime to know every aspect of it.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Second, Alios was a dragon star demon who belonged in the sky, fighting with not only weapons and magic but even their dragon wings. However, inside the forest, expanding his wings was an impossible thought given the sheer size of them. This also caused Alios’s agility to be taken down by a fourth, letting the wolfmen slightly surpass his speed.
Third, he was protecting the five year old Azol. His ability to maneuver was greatly burdened.
And lastly, they were heavily outnumbered 2 to 13. Alios, not matter how much of a genius he was, was still a full twenty years away from his maturity. A mere child in comparison to a truly full grown dragon star demon. In truth, even facing two fully grown wolfmen was already a stretch of his fullest abilities, yet at the moment, they were surrounded by thirteen fully grown wolfmen.
You could say, the only thing to rejoice about was that, although not dead, he had basically taken care of one of them.
Alios picked up Azol, making sure to carry him close to his chest, protecting him from the angered wolfmen. He was only a few feet away when gashes started to appear on his body, blood streamed down his face, dripping onto Azol.
The cute little Azol, whose wet golden eyes indicated him the new demon king, had a depressed and aggrieved expression on his tiny face. However, a sudden mischievous glint appeared in his eyes. An angelic and holy voice suddenly echoed in the forest.
[Wind Wraith!] a tiny hand appeared from underneath Alios’s arm, surrounding was a black wind, giving off a death aura. A sudden hazy image of an ancient black skeleton wearing shredded cloth and wielding a pure white scythe appeared then in the next second it disappeared. The wolfmen who saw such an image immediately halted, their in tuned instincts telling them to run away as far has possible, as fast as possible.
It was too late. For a full fifty miles, everything in sight was chopped into pieces. The tree’s that has been an obstacle for the pair suddenly disappeared, their enemies following behind. Their blood splattered for miles and miles. Not even the demonic beasts, insects, or any living creature survived.
This was the type of magic [wind wraith] was. A forbidden black magic, only demon kings could learn. The amount of mana needed for activating such a skill was insurmountable. Even to a demon king, this was a great feat needing hundreds of years to accomplish. So how could a small five year old child possibly be unaffected. The moment the ancient black skeleton disappeared, Azol fell into a dead faint.
The surprise Alios had felt mixed in with his joy and urgency, slowing him down for a second before a pair of magnificent opened up from his pack. The giant wings, with fiery red feather and golden tips, gave a single push, immediately thrusting them hundred of meters into the air. If the wolfmen were still alive and saw such a scene, it wasn’t hard to imagine them puking out blood. As for the strength of those pair of wings, it was quite obvious. A single casual bump with wings could kill an ordinary person.
Only when in the air, relief washed over him following the stinging sensation of his wounds. His whole body was a mess of crimson red. He was well aware, he wouldn’t last longer and pushed himself to fly to the nearest border of the Endora Forest.
Ironically, Krosta forest was his destination. However, such a forest had another name within the demon country.
It’s name was Demon Slayer Forest.
