[The light is glowing again. Finally, after so long I can return back.. Just you all wait I will find and kill each and one of you.]
“Hiihahahiihahaa….Hiihahahiihahaa…..Hiihahahiihahaa….” [Laughing after so long feels so refreshing.]
[Now then let’s meet the big idiot. Huh, did he die already. He was shouting something. Well, I will ask him later. I can’t let him die so easily, but why can’t I feel any mana from him. ]
He slowly walked towards Ray who was lying down like a log without emotion. He raised his hand a little and a 4-layered magic circle appeared above Ray engulfing his whole body. Soon after that Ray started floating in the air very slowly but at a noticeable speed. A pure whitish-yellow color leaked out of his body from every single pore in his small body. His red hair stood upfront like a porcupine’s spikes and his cries were like beating of a drum. Karl was healing Ray at a fast speed and also investigating his body at the same time. He was getting too intrigued within the ‘idiot’s’ body. He was then brought back to reality by a heavy panting sound near the entrance of the cave. He looked towards it and saw a little kid who was even smaller than the ‘idiot’. His body, which looked like a twig that would be broken by even a small force, was roughed-up from head to toe. His face was a bit girlish with his hair hanging sidewards towards the end of his ears giving leeway to his forehead which revealed his innocent looking face clearly. His clothes which were torn earlier when Ray was running earlier without a care seemed grubby.
“Stop…Don’t touch him...Please…” he begged with crystal tears rolling down his cheeks.
-------------------------------------------------------------
20 minutes earlier….
Where am I. Ouchh, my head hurts. Where is Ray? Where did he go?
Nora who had just awaken was filled with lots of question when his eyes just opened to a place he had never been. Today had been a day of struggle to the both of them and they experienced something they never would have. He mustered of his last remaining courage and stood up slowly cursing his legs which had given up strength at the most critical time of his life. He started exploring the cave in hope of finding Ray, hoping nothing could have happened to him. When he had walked for sometimes, the ground started shaking heavily. He was nervous at first but when the shaking was followed up by a familiar voice which he had been hearing from his childhood, his face instantly gloomed. It was not a voice to be exact but more like a groan. Nora hurriedly followed behind the cry neglecting the castle of bones which soon appeared in his field of vision. What he saw next blew his mind. His only friend in his life; floating in mid-air with some yellow-white stream of light flowing out of his body, he was groaning loudly and violently. Next to him was a tall handsome man who appeared to be in his mid-20s, his hair was so long that it touched the floor and even coiled like snake. He was touching Ray’s body with an obscene look. Getting his thought together he looked towards the man’s eyes and spoke trembling, clenching his fist.
“Stop..Don’t hurt him..please…”
“Don’t kill him” he stood there tightening his already tight fist. On the contrary the latter stood there confused.
“No, no you are misunderstanding. I am just helping him recover.”
Hearing, that the man was actually healing not killing Ray he relaxed his pounding heart for the first time today.
He then looked towards the man who was stunning in figure and asked a simple question, “Who are you?”

Their gaze was locked together for a brief second and Nora trembled a little. But the man seemed to be in deep thought. He ignored the question and again began to research Ray’s body. Nora was flustered that the man had ignored him but kept silence.
After some time, Ray began to wriggle and slowly opened his eyes. He who had already accepted his death catched the situation a little fast, what had happened from the looks of the unknown man. He was lifted down from the air and the first thing that he did after hugging Nora was thanking him for saving Nora’s life. That man was again shocked from the thought process of the ‘idiot’. He had just awoken from being dead and he was thinking about others.
“I don’t know that twerp, he came here himself neither did I save him.”
Nora was also nodded in answer.
The atmosphere got quite heavy from the silence and awkwardness could be felt in the whole cave.
Ray broke the stillness and thanked him for at least saving him and began asking questions similar to Nora’s. What followed him too was ignorance from the latter and instead of answering he bounced the questions back.
“What are two weak looking children doing here?”
Ray sighed, and he replied with a straight face. Ray started narrating the whole story, how early today in the morning, a group of people calling themselves members of “seakers” launched an all-out attack against the villagers. There were some powerful individuals among that group and what remained was the village in ruins. He and Nora had sneaked out of the village with the help of Ray’s great grandfather but he too was dragged out and killed. Finally, only those two had succeeded in running away to the forest.
Karl was amazed by the bravery of these two and praised them silently. He then faced towards Ray for a moment. After going deep into his thoughts for a while he said, “Do you wish to seek revenge?”
Ray and Nora hesitated a little at the sudden question. They exchanged dark faces for a while and then Ray replied with a simple “NO”. He wanted but his great grandfather had told them to secure some treasures within the dark forest and live fulfilling lives.
[We wish to become adventurers and live a simple life.]
From the honest looks of Ray and Nora, Karl heaved a deep sigh. He then turned around and walked towards the entrance of the cave. The two boys simply followed behind without uttering a single sound. They soon reached a simple garden filled with trees neatly arranged. Small bushes were growing here and there but walking through them wasn’t a problem. “All the fruits here are edible and there is a small pond near. Eat and just rest up. I will come back soon “
“But what about the wild animals” Nora asked Karl looking straight in the eyes but shivered when Karl looked back. He then picked up a small stone, placed a seal into it and threw it above. Soon a 6-layered magic circle appeared in the sky and formed a protective layer reaching the ends of the small garden.
“Now even high ranked beast won’t come over.” Saying a couple of words he walked towards the end of the garden and soon vanished like thin air. Ray and Nora were dumfounded from what had happened just now. Their mouths were wide open from the shock but soon started enjoying the luxuries of food and water which had been granted to them.
A dozen miles away Karl was soaring through the air searching for something. He noticed some fluctuation in the space and he reached out his hand, “Gate” when the words exited his mouth, a black gate appeared before him. He entered it and reached a gloomy place filled with death energy everywhere. His expression stiffened but still advanced ahead. After walking some miles ahead he reached mansion build in middle of a brazen land with no sights of greenery at all instead skeletons lie here and there like decorations. “I am back”. His smile was small but truly genuine.
For some reason the steps inside felt heavy and he just stood there gazing aimlessly. At that moment, many incidents rushed inside his head in a flash. He raised his head a little and looked at his mansion again. Many decades had passed but it still stood here bravely without a single scratch. All the walls looked extremely cleaned with no signs of dust anywhere. That was seriously unheard of but he thought of a possibility. He finally leaped ahead and walked inside through the front door. The interior was similarly clean. The light bulbs above, the slightly curved staircase leading to the second floor, the golden carpet in the hall and mainly the people working there diligently looked fabulous. Soon the workers realized who just arrived and the place was in uproar.
“IT’S THE MASTER”
“I knew he would return one day”
“This isn’t a dream right, Hey Charlie pinch my cheeks”….”OUUU…Slowly brat I said to pinch not punch”
All the workers were flustered, some were hugging each other and some even were weeping on the floor. It was truly a sight to behold
Karl too watched them silently and smiled brightly unlike before.
[I am finally back]
“Yes, you have and we too are deeply thankful for that”
On his remarks a man with burly figure and heavy swollen face bowed straight down and replied with tears rolling down his half swollen face.
