Volume 1 Chapter 1: Info Dump
Happy Halloween!~ The title says it all.

Welcome to
* The scan on your iris and vein has determined that you are an unregistered user. Do you want to create a new account?
Yuzuki, currently unable to speak, just nodded yet again.
* Please select the name of your avatar
“…”
After a while a keyboard appeared before her. Yuzuki typed in her first name ‘Yuzuki’.
She was not very creative when it came to making up names. To be honest, she was not very creative at all. To save her the trouble of having to waste more time on something she deemed futile, she just used her first name.
* Select your gender from male, female or neutral
Yuzuki typed ‘Female’. She did feel the urge to pick neutral but constrained herself, as that would be rather an odd choice.
* There are only four races currently available: Human, Dwarf, Orc and Elf. Please select the race you wish to be.
‘Human’
* Do you wish to customise your appearance?
‘No’
* Please select a city and kingdom you wish to start in
‘Random’
For Yuzuki, it was far easier to just leave it to fate to decide then for her to go through the list (which had many foreign-sounding names that she had no clue about) to pick where she wanted to start in.
* Understood. Finally, do you wish to undergo the tutorial?
Tutorial?
Yuzuki typed ‘?’ to signify her confusion.
* The tutorial provides basic information that introduces how to play
“…”
After a while of deliberation, she typed ‘Yes’.
* Proceeding to start Tutorial...
The blank space Yuzuki was in before suddenly changed to a lounge room. While before she felt herself being forced to stand up, now she was sitting in a comfy beanbag.
* As the first person who chose to undergo the Tutorial, you will be given full access to information categorised as ‘Beginner Level’ for certain topics
This time, the voice that rang out was different. Before, it was more of a neutral, mechanical-like voice, but now, the voice was quite similar to a mature woman’s.
* Please select from the following list what you wish to know about
Then a window suddenly emerged in front of Yuzuki like so:
Currency3 God SpiritsStatsStatus BookQuests4 Magic Chant SystemsTitlesSkillsSetting
Using the keyboard that also emerged with the window she typed her question:
‘Is it okay to learn all?’
* Pardon me. May you please clarify your answer?
‘Can I select all options?’
* Sure. Just number them from which option you want me to start explaining first.
Yuzuki then began playing mini-minee-mo until she numbered them in the following order:
6Currency83 God Spirits2Stats1Status Book5Quests94 Magic Chant Systems4Titles3Skills7Setting
* I see. Then let me begin…
Basically, what she got from the Tutorial was this:
Status Book
In the game, by either speaking or thinking “Status Book”, a book will emerge from your body. That book is what is known as the
It serves as a way of identification due to being fraud-proof. It also has an anti-theft function in it, such that aside from the owner no one else could touch it. If the status book is separated more than 10 m from its owner, it will automatically disappear and transport back inside the owner.
It also is indestructible but cannot be used as a weapon. All attacks directed at the status book will just go through it so it cannot even be used as a shield.
Other functions include: status page, skill’s list, title’s list, a world map that gets filled in the more you travel or discover relevant information corresponding to it, two pages of inventory space that can store up to 50 items without being over weight capacity (unless the capacity is increased through other means), a recording function that records any information the owner has gotten for later reference, and many more will can be later unlocked later in the game.
If the weight capacity is exceeded, owners will feel their stomachs hurting and will need to either go to the toilet (which won’t help either way) or take some items out from the inventory. Note that that only happens once the user sucks in the Status book again. If the status book is still out, it will just feel extremely heavy for the owner despite the amount of stat points, leading to the owner’s satiety level to be heavily reduced.
The status book can evolve (increase its function capabilities) through absorbing defeated monsters. By having the status book absorb the defeated monster, EXP is gained. The absorbed monster will also be easily dismantled with the loot being automatically placed in the inventory.
Also, information can be accessed from the Status Book without bringing it out directly, just that the information will be more in depth if seen directly from it. Plus, the user can change the settings to the Status Book by accessing the Options Section that is a hidden feature along with the Help Section.
Stats
Stats can be raised either through repetition of an action that corresponds to the stat, or through the bonuses from the rankings every month. The higher the stats, the easier it will be for the user to do an action that corresponds to that stat, and can also help with increasing their Guild Rank. Other stats aside from the ones given in the beginning can be created through the user’s actions in the game.
Usually at the beginning, the following stats are given (there is a 0.05% chance that stat allocation will differ from the usual, however):
StatsPointsStatsPointsHealth (HP)20/20Chant (CP)10/10Fame0Infamy0Strength (STR)10Wisdom (WIS)5Agility (AGI)10Intellect (INT)10Attack (ATK)5Defence (DEF)5Stamina (STA)10Vitality (VIT)10Dexterity (DEX)5Luck(LUK)5
Health refers to the life points that extend the user’s stay in the game. Once reverted to zero, the user will die and be respawned, albeit with lower stats and debuffs applied.
Chant increases the possibility of producing a magic spell, and when high enough, can allow the user to not need to use a medium (e.g. staff) to evoke a spell or an incantation. There is no such thing as mana in this world.
Fame increases chances of getting quests and a higher rank, thus increasing the chances of getting Rare to Legendary type information that can be used to lead to difficult but very rewarding quests and/or hunting sites.
Infamy increases chances of getting a lower rank and hardly or no dropped loot at all, although when high enough, it increases the level of monsters thus increasing the quality of loot.
Strength increases the weight behind attacks. The stat is also needed to wear or carry certain clothes/items.
Agility helps users to move about faster and avoid things when high enough. It also increases a user's reaction speed.
Wisdom helps manages the amount of Spirit Magic is borrowed to not overwhelm the user and lead to a backlash. It also helps in reducing the Chant Points consumed in the process of forming Magic Spells.
Intellect basically helps increase the amount of Chant Points and the availability of Magic Spells. It is also useful for deciphering lost languages found in the history of the setting of
Attack increases the chances of getting critical attacks and helps in increasing damage when high enough.
Defence increases the chances of not losing HP when hit, or decreases the amount of HP lost when hurt. It reduces the damage taken and corresponding bad status effects once high enough.
Stamina helps lower the satiety wastage, allowing the user to go on without food for longer as well as helps the user go through more strenuous activities.
Dexterity helps with weapon handling or other actions to do with the hands. It can also help with a user’s gripping power, whether it be their hands, their feet or other unusual body parts.
Vitality helps increase the health pool and the amount the user can be hurt by. Once high enough, there is a higher chance for poison and other debuff effects to be cancelled.
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
Luck increases chances of getting better quality or higher quantity of quests or loots that can be received/gained. Sometimes, having a high luck will raise the user’s chance of survival in an unexplored region.
Skills
Skills are created either through repetition or from quest rewards. They can also be freely given if, and only if, the stat requirements are met (which is usually half of the actual requirement for the action or spell). There is a skill level system, which goes from the basic level 1 to beyond. Generally, when the skill is levelled up to 10, a small bonus in stat gain is applied permanently.
A skill can also be generated through the use of a skill book, which results in the skill book disappearing. The books in a library are different, however, as they still will be intact after the user generates the skill from the skill book.
To get the skill from a library book, the user needs to read the book in full and follow through with the instructions on the last page to successfully create the skill. The method of gaining a skill from a skill book is different, due to only requiring the user to say “Learn Skill” while holding onto it, although the skill’s effect will be increased if the skill book is read in full before learning the skill.
Skills help decrease the mana cost required for evoking it as well as the stat requirement for certain actions (though it helps to actually have the requirements in the first place).
The skills are split into two groups: active and passive. Active means that the user will have to call out the skill first before using it, while passive skills are automatically applied when doing certain actions, albeit at a lower effect. Through going to the skill’s page in the status book, the skills can be converted from active to passive or vice versa at no extra cost.
Titles
There are no classes in
There is no set limit of the amount of titles a user can have. Only one title can be equipped for all to see in the rankings, though their effects are still present whether they are equipped or not.
Titles can also be bought at a sufficient price. That way, it is better to purchase titles that conflict with debuff-type ones (basically ones that give curses) to cancel their effects.
Quests
Quests are ranked by difficulty with F being the lowest and relatively easy, and SS being the highest, capable of changing the world.
Through quests, the user can gain rewards befitting the quest difficulty. It is advisable to complete as many quests regardless of difficulty to reap the benefits, though it is better to make sure the amount of stats one has meets the advisable requirement found in small print at the bottom of the quests.
To get a quest from a NPC, the user must have enough familiarity with them. Other ways include: the
Currency
The currency used in the current available continent in
A way to get a large amount of these coins is through hunting mobs, as the bonus rewards got from hunting a large mob increase as the more monsters are defeated under a short duration of time.
Setting
The world of
As of right now, users from the different continents will not be able to meet up in person nor use teleport to teleport to the other available continents. To do so, a clear connection must be attained between the continents to allow for a stable pathway to be made, forming the foundation for the users to use to transfer between the continents.
3 God Spirits
There are 3 God Spirits that are worshipped in the
These three rule over their domains and are the reason to the availability of magic in the world. Spirits are beings that exist in
4 Magic Chant Systems
There are 4 Magic Chant Systems: Sky, Ground, Sea and Other. They are categorised by the type of chant used to communicate with the Spirit Types: Sky, Ground, and Sea or the use of more than one Spirit Type.
The chant is used to raise the familiarity level between the people and the Spirits, resulting in the Spirits lending the people their power in the form of magic.
Examples include:
* Sky: {Illuminate the Sky: Light Ball}, {Devour the Sky: Dark Wind}
* Ground: {Raise the Ground: Earthquake}
* Sea: {Split the Seas: Far Strike}
* Other: {Heal my people: Ruler’s Blessing}, {Set fire to my foes: Fire Ball}
* …and that is all. Do you have any other questions to ask me?
…Can’t think of any…
Yuzuki shook her head side-to-side as a way to say ‘No’.
* Is that so? Then the Tutorial will be concluded.
Ding!
Huh?
Just as Yuzuki was being surprised by the sudden sound, her surroundings distorted and changed back to how it was before. She was then faced with a new window.
As the first person to complete the Tutorial, Fame +10
Due to completing the Tutorial, you are granted a reward from the following:
* A function of your liking for the Status Book
* An increase in a chosen Stat
* A weapon of your choice (with restrictions applied)
* A skill of your choice (with restrictions applied)
* A randomly generated Title
Hm…what to pick…
In the end, Yuzuki chose the first option.
* Please specify the function you wish to obtain
‘A function that works similar to an encyclopaedia to give out information using key words’
She needed this as a way to go on an adventure comfortably without needing to risk her life due to lacking crucial information (since she didn’t want to socialise).
* Function accepted. Information will only be from the available continent, and there will be some restrictions applied however. Please name the function.
Oh… 'tis fine. Name…? …‘Information Mode’.
(T.L: Oh…that’s fine. Now a name huh… Well let’s just call it ‘Information Mode’)
‘Information Mode’
* Information Mode created. You can assess this function by saying or thinking the words ‘Information Mode‘
That’s great…
Transfer to Random Location Starting…
All of a sudden, she felt herself go dizzy as her surroundings distorted. Eventually she blacked out.
Transfer Complete. Adventure to your heart’s content.
When Yuzuki opened her eyes, all she could see was barren earth that went beyond the horizon. There were bits of green here and there, but basically everywhere she looked at was hardened soil that was cracking apart.
Hot…
Whether she was ready for it or not, for Yuzuki who no longer went out of the house, suddenly being transported out into the sun with the sudden increase in temperature, caused her to feel light-headed. Luckily enough, she spotted a village gate directly south to where she was facing when she first arrived. All she needed to do was follow the pathway made out of flat stones to get to it. Urged by her growing fatigue due to the sun beaming down on her, she started to make her way forward…is what she thinking of doing.
Hm?
Just as she was about to go, Yuzuki noticed a flashing square in her bottom right hand corner. As her eyes wandered a bit, the flashing square also wandered. Curious she used her finger to click on it.
Dun Dun~
Due to your lack of fitness you have been debuffed!
