The Vampire of Alistor
Day 1: Year 1: History

Day 1: Year 1: History

Jarol'k Academy, the most prestigious learning facility on the face of Alistor, exists in the capital city of Alistor. The Great Wizard Jarol'k Von Key had converted his main mansion into a learning institute that was on par in size with the Imperial Palace.

Inside, the classroom was easily the size of most ballrooms and exuded a certain elegance and magical aura to it that left most of those who saw it, in utter awe. At the moment, a lecture was taking place, and the lecture was about the history of Alistor.

A small stage-like platform with a large blackboard on the wall, and a podium close the the center, a woman with bat wings and green hair in a suit and rectangular glasses was pointing at illustrations drawn on the blackboard with a wooden pointer.

"This is our plane, Alistor, as you all know, and it exists parallel to all other planes. Due to some specifications that exist our plane is free from any outside interference. The Great Wizard Jarol'k Von Key along with Kyal Rensin Yon Alistor, his Imperial Highness, created this plane during the Great War. Now most of this I'm sure you know, but just in case, the Great War was a war in which vampires and humans were at war along with other races. However, the vampires, and some human sympathizers, were on the brink of extinction, so The Great Wizard and The Emperor, joined forces to escape that war, and create somewhere safe with complete co-existence, of course, without the existence of the human blood substitute this wouldn't have been possible. Now, any questions?" The woman scanned the room.

A student raised his hand and asked with an inquisitive look, "Why wouldn't peace have been possible without the blood substitute?"

"Some vampires prefer human blood to animal blood, and if the substitute for it didn't exist, it would most likely lead to another war, this time on Alistor. Now, any more questions?" She scanned the room, and waited for about a minute before saying, "Alright, class dismissed."

The students all started packing up and heading towards the door to get to their next class, however, just as a certain student was about to leave the Professor added, "Elix, you stay." she said.

Elix stepped to the side of the doorway and waited for everyone to leave, he'd already had an idea as to what the Professor wanted to say. Elix, with his dark brown long curly waist-length hair, brown eyes with rounded glasses, and an outfit that made him stand out in a crowd, as such befitting his status.

As everyone had finally left the room, Professor Jell said, "Elix, I have a gift for you, if you don't mind." Elix walked toward her, stopping at a person's distance between the two, and with a hand behind his back and another across his chest bowed slightly and said, "I gratefully accept any gift from someone such as you."

Looking toward the small platform from the student's seats, to the left corner was her desk. She, with a smile, walked toward her desk, Elix following, and pulled a plastic bag from it. With the bag of what looked to be blood in hand, she turned toward Elix and spoke with a smile, "Pre-Great War human blood, aged five thousand years. To commemorate, your transformation."

Elix took the bag from her and with another bow said, "Thank you, Professor Jell."

With a slight wave of her hand, she said, "Now then, off you go, don't want to miss your important day."

"I shall take my leave, Professor Jell," Elix said with a bow and walked toward the exit. As he walked out into the hallway, the ceilings were tall, the walls adorned with priceless artwork, and a red carpet with gold trim lay upon the walkway.

Elix kept walking until he reached the entrance to the library, and upon reaching the threshold, its huge wooden doors already open, and the room itself made Professor Jell's classroom look small. Shelves of books filled the room, and even had stairs to further levels, with walkways encircling the room.

Elix glanced around before landing his eyes on a man sitting at a table with a book, Elix approached the man and pulled out the chair beside him. The man didn't say anything and continued reading his book, but Elix spoke up, "Is the book a good read?"

The man glanced at Elix before turning back to his book, and said, "The book itself is good, it just lacks proper pace, and it feels like I started on chapter 20 rather than chapter one." Elix glanced at the title of the book before adding, "Ah, I've read it before, and I agree completely, Isshin."
