He existed. Perhaps it might be better to say that I existed. Around, within, and indeed as far as the figurative eye could see was complete and absolute nothingness, interrupted only by the chaotic fractals of entropic energy also existing. In this place, this void somehow made up of everything and nothing was the truth of existence itself. One could spend an eternity here striving to comprehend life, existence and the cosmos. In fact, I already had, several eternities in fact. All the while making little to no headway in my journey of discovery. It was not for lack of trying but rather the sheer enormity of what I strove to accomplish.
I tired of my ponderings. Perhaps, I thought to myself, it’s time for a break from my musings. It was time to rejoin other people in a universe similar to the one from whence I came. To live a life among other sentient beings as I had in most of my several thousand previous incarnations.

I guided my existence in the direction of a nearby distortion in the void, populated by entropic fractals and filaments sparkling to life and then fizzling out, back to the nothingness that birthed them. I picked one mostly at random that also seemed to fizzle a little less than its brethren, giving at least the illusion of stability, and focused on condensing my existence into it.
As my perception shrank into it and some semblance of temporal reality returned to me, I witnessed a familiar but unique kaleidoscope of the cosmic strings that were universes and made up the entropic fractal that was my new multiversal home. I wished that I could pause for a moment to appreciate the beauty of the perpetual creation, and ultimate return to entropy I perceived all around me on my approach to my new life.
