The Gods ruled the world, bringing balance and peace into the world. Throughout all the kingdoms, prosperity and joy arose, but that all changed during the Conflict. The Gods left, but not before leaving humans with weapons to allow peace to remain: the Demigods. Hybrids, carrying the blood of the Gods and humans, they are those who have honour and a strong sense of justice. That is what they are meant to be. But is that what they are? Everything changed for Caine the day he met a Demigod. Caine has always been a lonely child, he never had much, but when he met a Demigod, he lost the little he had. And so he begins his revenge, fighting not only against Demigods but against a world that upholds this tyranny, as he fights against the very foundations of society. Caine must confront what it means to have power, especially when the power is of a human against divinity.
