Unexpected journey

Late November nights had a cold bite that crept into my bones. My room was dimly lit, and the clock ticked away, reminding me of the exam just two days away. I had planned to study as soon as I got home, but sleep had snuck up on me, stealing two precious hours. Now, the night stretched ahead, urging me to make up for lost time.

My stomach growled, complaining about its emptiness. I decided a break was needed. I opened the fridge, but it was almost empty. Ugh. I had no choice but to head out to the nearest convenience store. It was only a five-minute walk through the forest behind my apartment building, but if I took the longer route, it would take at least ten.

The forest felt eerie at night. The shadows danced among the trees, and the sky was a deep black, dotted with stars. But I needed food, so I set out. After grabbing some warm food from the store, I started my walk back through the woods.

Then something unbelievable happened. As I walked, a bright beam of light shot up from the ground beneath my feet. Before I could even react, I was lifted off the ground and found myself floating. In an instant, I was zooming through space, flying past colorful planets and swirling galaxies at an incredible speed—faster than I could imagine.

The galaxies turned into tiny colored dots as they rushed toward me, and then everything vanished into darkness. For a moment, I was lost in a void. But soon, stars twinkled back into view, and I was surrounded again by a dazzling display of lights. I felt both amazed and confused. This couldn’t be a dream; it felt too real.

Before I knew it, I landed on solid ground. But this place was unlike the forest behind my home. As the shock of what just happened hit me, I felt weak all over. Nausea rolled through me, and I dropped to my knees. The world spun around me, and I slowly began to pass out, darkness swallowing my vision.
