With the entire warehouse burning around us she yelled to me. “WHAT'S THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THE DENSIUM AND THE SPACE WORMS?”
I turned to her smirking. “EVERYTHING”
Wait wait wait I might be getting ahead of myself, I believe we should start at the beginning.
It all began when humans landed on Venus and discovered densium, which kick started a new space age for us allowing FTL travel(Faster than light).
So you must be thinking to yourself “What is densium?” well it's a rare metal which can be used to create gravitational fields or worm holes, how you ask? I don't know I’m not a goddamn scientist.
That all happened back in 2291, now it's 3042 and earth has been missing for nearly 600 years.
Now I know what you’re thinking “how could you lose earth?”, I know planets don't just vanish into thin air (or space).
Well during the Human-Krafer war, the krafers (big bug like aliens) were severely losing so they pulled a fast one on us and opened a giant wormhole with whatever densium they had left in order to move earth and now no one knows where it is, after the war we needed a new home solar system as the old one was in a bad state, the new central home of humans was renamed ‘New Earth’, better name than Planet-T034.

Moving on, in our galaxy there are 3 main empires:
The Roden Empire, they hold about a sixth of the galaxy, the rodens stay within their own space so no one know truly how the look like beyond rumors.
The United Galaxy, the largest empire in the galaxy controlling a third of it, but I highly doubt they will stop there, as they just love taking under their ‘care’ smaller alliances and planets mostly out of the Avak Zone (I'll get to that later).
Their society consist of two social classes the founding species and the conquered, you can pretty much guess how it works.
The Gapaiem Alliance, roughly a sixth of the galaxy, and consists of various humanoid aliens including us, which we joined after the United Galaxy showed ‘interest’ in humanity.
And last but not least the Avak Zone, the last third of the galaxy, ruled by no one essentially lots of small planet alliances or independent planets, also the most dangerous as no one governs it all, but it's quite a great place if you're a pirate, outlaw, outcast... or me.
