Chapter 1: Summoning Magic!

Chapter 1: Summoning Magic!

He walked out of his house. It was current 5 am, the sun still hasn't risen yet. 'Perfect!' He thought.

Pulling up his hoodie, he started jogging to the park. After passing some people, some youngster around his age, he got annoyed. He took out his mp3 and put the headphones on to completely separate himself from the outside world.

He jogged, jogged and jogged about half an hour before taking out his best badass looking sunglasses to put on. The sun was going to rise soon and the dawn is nice but he didn't bother to take a risk looking at the sun.

'I want to use these eyes for the rest of my life.'

Arriving at the park, he sat on a bench to take a rest. He started to think about his school life and as soon as he did, he stopped thinking about it,  just as abruptly as when he started to think about it.  It's not like he hates school, well, a bit...but not that serious. The main point was that he hated himself for being so pathetic. ' I really was so useless that even I want to laugh at myself. 'Thinking that, he sighed.

He heard a muffled sound sounded like a little boy's voice. 'There he is!'  he saw him. In the bush behind the bench he currently sitting on, a boy was sat bawling on the dirty ground yard. He was mumbling something while making a funny face. A face that just about to broke into tears but gravely endured it. He looked at that face and then to his mouth. He knew what the little boy was currently mumbling about and the reasons behind that. Maybe there were some differences between this little boy's situation and himself but as least, in him he felt the similarity, his childhood and this boy.

He stood up and walked to the boy. He sat down next to him and scanned through the kid. In an instant he found out the reason why the boy was in distress. For some reason, the boy was going about bare foots and ended up with a wood thorn sticking to his left feet. It wasn't very deep but still enough to bleed out some blood. And to an adult, this might just be a bit sting but to a child this small, it might be a very scary experience.

The child had then noticed him. He looked up at the person whole face was covered in his white hoodie jacket. He instantly remembered the teaching of his mother: never talk to stranger; scream out for help when seeing someone suspicious...and...

"HELP ME! KIDNAPPER! THERE'S ARE A KIDNAPPER TRYING TO TAKE M-UHM~"

The sudden screaming of the child almost stopped his heart before he managed to shut him up.

'Damn it, that's why I hate kid!' he thought as he took off his hood revealing his appearances to the child.

The child stopped struggling and stared at him in awe, forgetting his mother's words completely.

The big guy that he thought as some sort of evil person trying to whisk him away like his mother used to mention whenever he was not behaving properly turning out to be a very cool big brother!

He had shoulder length hair that tied into a pony tail and it was as white as snow. He also looked very cool and handsome like the prince in a Disney Cartoon he had watched the day before.

The boy with his mouth lightly opening reached out toward that person's hair to tough it only to be stopped by its owner's hand grasping his. The boy glanced back at the big brother with pouting face, obviously stating: 'Why can't I tough it?' but instantly taken back. The little boy stared at him for a bit.

He was ordinary wearing a white cap along with his jacket hood but it was knocked up a bit while he was struggling trying to silent the child. Now that this boy had finally got the chance to look at his appearances clearly, all hell break loosely yet again.

"GYAAAAAAaaaaaaa~ It's a demon! Help me! Grandma~ Help meeeeeee~ Uwaaaaaaaaaaa~"

He was startled by the boy sudden outputs and pondered if he should just left this irritating kid alone and left. It won't be good if someone passed by jump in some kind of annoying conclusions and he ended up in some shitty situation again. He fully aware of his more than enough sorry luck.

Still, the way this stupid kid reacted after he looked at his face kinda pissed him up. And before he knew it. He had went to try to shut him up again.

The boy screamed for all his worth. Forgetting his hurt leg, he tried to crawl away from the devil grasp. He scared. The big brother he had thought was cool turning out to be a demon! His grandma's tale and few things he picked up on TV stated that demon and other devils have scary eyes as red as blood! And this devil before him really has his eye Red!

 He is Evil!

That was what's going on the boy mind.

But for him, it's different. 'What's with this kid?' 'Why the hell does this kid keep running away from him like he was some kind of plagues?' and 'Why the bloody hell did he call him "demon"?' were what occupied his mind. Especially the last one. He had many nick name and he hated it but this was the first time he was called a "demon", and to his grief, this was the coolest nick he has ever gotten. And this sobered him up a bit.

He stopped confront the child because it seemed to scare him more and instead decided to calm him down first. He thought about what about him that could scared the child to this extend and to his grief. He could only thought of one. His face twisted a bit at the corner of his lip. He stayed where he was and used his most gentle as he could managed as a voice to sooth the child.

"Come on. Don't be scare. I'm not a bad person. Also not a demon" - He unintentionally put more force in his voice at that part, obviously the fault of his complex about his "coloring"

" Even though my eyes are red, I'm not a demon. Don't be scare. You're hurt, right? Let's me see where it's hurt and I'll help you, okay?" That was his best gentlemanly act as he could managed. The voice he used was so soft that he could swore he didn't even know such a voice in him exist. And it's enough to make him shivers in disgust of himself. Still, it's done a good job.

The boy stopped screaming and tweaking and looked up at him cautiously. He tried to put on his best gentleman smile that he prayed to whatever gods out there would not turning out weird... And he should have known it. Yes, he reminded himself again. All god had already forsaken him. Praying to them only serve them the means to cause him more damage, including this time.

The boy had seen his smile and stunned for a second before bursting out laughing like his life depended on it. In between, he even managed to cackle "...Funny, hehe...ya face...hehe.." He grimaced. As least the boy stopped shooting, if someone happen to passed by, he won't be charged at "child abusing" or some other crazy things. And again, he sighed at his luck.

The boy was still laughing but seemed to calm down a bit. He came nearer and lifted the child up and put him on his laps making him yelp out a bit in surprise. He quickly pats the boy's to reassure him he is safe. Fortunately, the boy seemed to quite down and only stared up at him curiously.

He put a another sigh but in relieve this time. He was a reader addicted. It can't be happened with his situations. And he quietly thank a certain Japanese manga he had read, especial the part when the MC was taking care of a child. The way he comforted the child just now was from that. He glad that his luck didn't screw him up like always this time for this is actually the first time ever he tough a child!

After he had finished checking the boy's foot and other parts for any other possible injures, he took out a small bag in his jacket pocket. From there he took out a small band-aid suitable for the boy's feet as well as some medical cotton to wipe the dirt out of it. At first, the boy was reluctant in allowed this stranger to tough him but after a good five minutes of clumsy insisting and sweet talking (which happened to be some pick up line he learned from some other book and TV show) did the boy let him treated his wound.

Finishing all that, he still couldn't get away. To his grimace, he couldn't resist the boy's puppy eyes and his pitiful lonely aura which annoyed him so much because of its similarities to a certain someone's childhood. Well, to make it short, he was forced to play with the boy until he couldn't take it anymore, which was three hours later. He had to literally begging the boy to let him go home and to his humiliate showing the boy his tearful eyes (because of bright sunlight in summer) to which the boy mistaken that he was crying and let him go, not before giving the boy his cool badass sunglasses as souvenir though. Of course the boy didn't believe (or didn't understand) when he explained he wasn't crying.

He finally able to go back home, though without a sunglasses this time. He certainly looked like a demon now, or maybe a drunkard, or even a drug- addict who still didn't had his fill today. His step was uneven and sometimes he looked like he had just a second before kissing the ground. Actually, his case of albinism was a very fortunately one. He had only a few draw back when he was very young and almost all of them was fixed. His family was rich after all. Thanks to that, he didn't have to suffer eyes related problems like many other fellow albinos. In fact, sometimes he wondered if that was where all his luck went to and thus leaving him bared with misfortune now.

Still, without his sunglasses in this burning bright light of summer even if it wasn't noon yet, he still couldn't bear it, not with his sheltering life-style he had long used to. Sometimes, he ironically thought he is just like a vampire. Thus, with some exposing body part had turned pink, bloodshot eyes with tears flowing non-stop and a deadpanned face, he staggered home... like a zombie.

He walked, walked, walked and walked... His mind was occupied with only one thought about why does it took so long to get home. Suddenly, he felt a shiver ran through his spine, like he had just took a step to the north pole and took a step back here in this hell of fire of light. This helped him snapping out of his dazed state a bit and he took a look at his surrounding. Somewhere in his memories a while back until now, he remembered he had passed by a lot of people. A few of them even called out to him about something like: "...al..ight? or Ar...you s...? "...or something like that in which his mind failed to register due to its temporarily "shut down" state.

Right now, he seemed to stand in a completely desert areas despite it was the dead center of his town. He was startled and frantically looked around trying to find a soul in this supposedly crowded place but found nothing. Yes, before he noticed it, the whole place which means the buildings, the streets and every other things just disappeared right before his eyes. He used his hand to wipe his eyes.

Damn it, so the heat finally got me, huh?  He opened his eyes again, and if he knew what he would see, he's sure he would choose to close his eyes forever, not that it would make any difference though.

He still couldn't see anything, all around him. Everything was white, just a blank color of white and then in an instant it all turned black, pitch black, as well as his mind. Then, he went unconscious.
