I am snapped awake from my delicate slumber as loud blaring fills my ears.I quickly open my groggy eyes nervous the fire alarm is making that noise and I will be cooked like a rotisserie chicken.Luckily it's just my alarm and I press it I pick up my glasses to read the time and my eyes leap out of my head when i realise im late for work.I hurriedly shove on my clothes and lab coat,put on my name tag,grab my bag and snack on a protein bar and drive to work.

I arrive at the facility ready for another boring strange day of testing out containment for the anomalies we keep contained to save the world from ultimate destruction.Horrifying things lay deep within our lab things that defy reality as a whole and some bend reality to .I think of a world without us to contain them the whole population wiped clean from the planet in minutes I shudder  thinking of that grim scenario unfolding.My boss approaches me from the hallway I smile thinking i can finally get that promotion and retire soon but i frown as he states “You excited about today? We have that big meeting with the council and I chose you to represent head of the Science and neutralisation department its at 14:30 so you better get ready” I think about telling him I cant but I see the gleam of excitement in his eyes so i calmly reply”Yes sir i’ll head to my office and start work on my presentation now” Sadly I trudge to my office and begin to work away trying to come up with a way to wow my superiors
