Prologue why did I hit yes

 In a pure white room in a place out of time and space sat six beings around a table discussing a matter of great importance.

"So we are in agreement with seven about to reach their end it is time to start the game" said a man who looked to be in his mid thirties with dark red hair dressed in a charcoal suit and tie.

He is the only one there in person while the others were just bright balls of light.

"Yes “said all in unison shaking the very space.

"Good now with that the meeting is now done go search for participants" spoke the man.

With that the beings fade away and the space is now empty.

"Ring ring ring" went the bell signaling the end of school the year. Most of the students are quickly packing up their stuff and leaving in an ecstatic mood.

"Finally over for now.” a typical student by the name of Masaki Shido said with a tired face.

The boy's expression can be explained by saying there is nothing extraordinary about him. With a body that is 5'6ft weighing 182lb with short black hair and gray eyes his looks were just average. No took notice of him let alone having a girlfriend.

"Well better head home not that there is anyone waiting." He said as he packed his bag and left the highschool.This is because he has no siblings and his parents live in a different city while sending money for live expenses every month.

Shido starts his 30 minute walk home while playing his favorite game on his phone. About half way home he decides to check his mail see if the newest anime he had order had been shipped yet.

"Look like they were sent out today and will get here in four days." Exclaimed Shido before he starts to close the mail, but he stops when he sees a mail with an interesting title saying Play the Game to Be Come a God. Thinking it would be a good way to waste time he opens it.

Inside it reads” Join the game Ascension to see if you have what it takes to become a god. But be warned failing means falling to the deepest pits of hell" 

Scrolling down he finds a warning that reads that there is no going back and two buttons a green yes and a red no.

"This might be a good game to pass the time if it's not just a joke spam mail” He thinks as he yawns and hits yes. Suddenly there is a blinding flash of light followed by pitch black darkness all round.

After a few minutes of standing in shock he begins to panic and yells and the top of his lungs" Hello can anyone hear me!" Silence answers him so he waits a bit and yells once more.

This time a voice speaks in the darkness" Hello you have been chosen to join a game and battle to become a god and will now step into a world of great risks were losing means death"
