• Prologue: The Wolf Princess Arrival •
Planet Earth - Year 2058
One day portals appeared all over the globe. Monsters flooded out spilling onto the streets causing havoc killing humans destroying the entire city.
People tried to fight back the invading monsters with guns and bullets... but it was a mere struggle, ineffective in stopping such creatures.
Overnight thousands had perished from this sudden attack.
Military powers quickly responded sending high explosive precision missile strikes destroying the monsters.
The dark night sky lit aflame in fire as it eradicated the invading monsters... yet this response didn't deter the powerful monsters.
Beams of light detonated the incoming missiles from a floating ball of eyes, the gaze sending malice everywhere it looked.
Ice captured all incoming projectiles in a world of frost from the hundred mouth demon, its breath froze the surrounds.
Swarms of bugs shredded the city turning all into dark blood red sand, a collection of buzzing bugs.
Humanity was once again stopped, were they forced to use their ultimate weapons?
No! This dreadful future was averted thanks to the coming of the Awakeners, people who unleashed the latent power within them.
A man wielding a sword leaped hundreds of feet into the air bisecting the ball of eyes into two. The sharpness of the sword slashing every eye.
Scorching fire melted and burnt the demon of a hundred mouths from a girl holding a book. The magic of fire bursting it into ash.
Thunderous lightning arced in the air decimating all bugs into fried ashes by a old aged man. The power of lightning frying the bugs.
Hope was once regained from these awakened people given the power to fight back against the invading monsters.
It has been 10 years since the first ever invasion of planet Earth.
.
"Hey did you hear about the portal which opened up in Japan?" A student spoke in the classroom. His eyes gleamed in excitement wanting to talk about the most recent news.
"Are you talking about the bugs where their scales which can be consumed to increase an Awakened sensitivity to mana?"
His friend replied. "Man how lucky are they to get such a valuable dungeon, now guilds are trying to negotiate and trade for bug."
He grumbled feeling a little jealous. "This also means that South Korea lucked out again with the Beast Emperor they can easily create a farm.
I wish I was lucky enough to become a beast tamer. Who knew it would be such a profitable business."
"I heard that over at the Awakening Academy they will be celebrating 10 years of continual service I would like to go learn there."
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
He salivated thinking about the dreamed academy in the entire world. The best school for awakeners a place where only geniuses gather at.
Ever since the sudden invasion all countries around the world agreed to cooperation of sharing dungeons, materials, and knowledge for the continuation of humanity.
Awakening Academy where all geniuses go to a place filled with monsters of crazy talent who train their skills.
"Not only that but did you hear about how America recently gifted the [Orb of Divinity] to the Awakening Academy now they have first-time benefits for 10 dungeons of their choosing. How generous of them to give such a valuable item away."
"You are wrong, I have insider information. The [Orb of Divinity] is a sentient orb that chooses who it will bless so instead of wasting their time and energy searching for valuable people it is better to give it to the academy."
"Ah, don't even mention that place I dislike all those stuck up geniuses that come from that place."
A drowsy student who was resting couldn't stand talking about those aberrant monsters.
.
*Ahhhh
"Help!"
"Monsters!"
"Its a dungeon outbreak!"
On the street there was a bright red portal, horrifying monsters crawled out into the streets seeing the fearful expressions it smiled in delight.
"You have to be kidding me why now of all times?!" Tears fell from the boy's face as he looked at the ominous portal.
A giant eyeless lanky monster smiled upon seeing the fearful expression on the weak humans.
...
"God-dammit! Is it that the legendary calamity dungeon?!"
An enraged military officer shouted smashing the desk as he looked in horror and anger to the red portal.
"The last time this occurred was... 10 years ago!"
10 years ago when the first dungeons opened monsters of untold strength poured out for the past years humanity was hard at work to recover their land.
Humanity believed they were safe ever since all calamity dungeons were cleared.
"Activate emergency protocol call back our S-ranking awakeners!" He looked stone faced at the sight before him giving him terrible memories.
"Yes sir!" An officer immediately called the special phone number. On the screen the giant eyeless monster reached to grab the boy.
...
*Whoosh
A gust of wind sliced its arm off. Screaming in pain it looked to where it came from, a majestic turquoise wolf with a dark blue fading into green fur.
A sense of regal divinity gave an aura of calmness. It's golden eyes pierced capable of seeing through all manner of tricks and cunning.
The wolf calmly walked forward, each step it transformed more into a human girl.
Adorned in royal golden-tinted armor, wielding a straight sword in both hands raised above her chest and the blade pointing to the ground it mimicked a fang.
"Foul creature, tormenting the weak and helpless learn from your mistake. [Sword Art: Fanged Bite of the Wolf]"
A burst of wind accompanied with a downward stab skewered the giant's head, as the boy stared in wonder of the beautiful girl.
The humans on the street felt an intangible shield protect them from the attacks of the monsters.
With a gust of wind the foul creatures turned into bloody meat paste in a matter of seconds all invading monsters were dead.
An atrocious scream echoed in the streets a massive monster enraged looked at the girl.
"Was it you who dared to kill my children!" It shrilled in sorrowful wails.
"Foul creature, know my name, I am the Wolf Princess Sylvia Canis. Your actions will be punished by me may you return a pure cleansed soul... [Cleansing Art: Zephyr Severance]."
A gentle light breeze embraced the monster in a cage of wind, despite it cutting into the monsters body it had not felt any pain whatsoever.
The giant eyeless monster constrained, became compacted smaller and smaller as the wind crushed its flesh to bits, shredding the monster.
No sound or mana could enter through this cage as the monster saw its body disappear.
All that remained was the unnatural beauty standing upon the destroyed street where blood paste of past monsters lied down upon.
