I am Ethan, Ethan Anderson. I am one of the few TraitMasters. I live in a society that split people up based on their Keirsey types.
The world that I live in consists of four kingdoms, based on the four Keirsey types. Their are the kingdom of Artisans led by Donald Trump; the kingdom of Idealists, lead by George W Bush; the kingdom of Rationals, lead by Barack Obama; and the kingdom of the guardians lead by Joe Biden.
The Artisans are a practical, realistic group of people that live in the here and now and enjoy life. They have a knack of tactics and decision making in the moment, either in the real world or with people. They typically have little interest in abstract theories and conceptual discussions or have difficulties understanding them, but are adaptable, unconventional, creative and spontaneous. The city of the Artisans is a city located in the middle of a vast empty desert biome.
The Rationals on the other hand might seem similar to the Artisans, but are somewhat more theoretical. They are analytical thinkers that are extremely adept at seeing the bigger picture and are good at recognizing connections, seeing patterns, and sometimes coming up with creative solutions to problems. They typically like doing things their own way and are either sometimes absent minded or very strategic and visionary. The kingdom of the Rationals is a high-tech futuristic city located in the middle of an icy cold tundra biome filled with vicious beasts and arctic animals.
The Guardians are somewhat distinct from the Artisans and the Rational but may seem to share traits with both. They are very practical, analytical, and well organized people that are also responsible, loyal, and hardworking. They usually have a preference for inside the box type methodical thinking and like to follow rules and systems. The city of the Guardians is located in the middle of a vast grassland filled with animals of all types.
The Idealists are the most idealistic of the bunch, hence their name. They are visionary and good at seeing possibilities. They are values oriented and charismatic and usually like to fit in and maintain harmony among groups. The city of the Idealists is located in the middle of a Rainforest teaming with life of all kinds.
The leaders of these four clans often reflect the traits of their clan. Barack Obama (the leader of the Rationals) was an analytical, well reasoned, and strategic leader that likes to be well informed about issues; but at the same time he could also be indecisive at times. Obama is typically charismatic and oftentimes seems to have empathy and strong values, which might make him seem like an Idealist despite being a Rationalist at his core.
Joe Biden, the leader of the Guardians, was a compassionate, empathetic and experienced statesman that knows how to cooperate and bring people together. He is a very cautious and seemingly analytical person that likes to rely on the tried and true method for doing things and is not known for taking risks or thinking outside the box, unless he absolutely has to. He is conservative, stable, consistent, routinized, sensible, hardworking, detailed, and persevering.
Donald Trump, the leader of the Artisans, on the other hand is a spontaneous, arrogant, charismatic and somewhat impulsive person that is oftentimes practical and sometimes creative. He has the tendency to act without analyzing or thinking things through, and oftentimes not interested in learning anything that doesn’t concern him and filling out any holes in his knowledge. He either makes decisions based on his own gut feeling or his own “common sense” reasoning which may clash with the other leaders and sometimes with his own people. Although he’s known for his lack of empathy, he could still show empathy and concern in certain situations. Despite all the negative traits, the people still keep him because he often times have the ability to convince people of his prowess and ability to get things done. This is especially the case since he is known for being adaptable, sensation seeking, playful, artistic, pragmatic, intuitive and instinctive at times.
George W Bush on the other hand is somewhat impulsive like Trump, but he's a more empathetic visionary, and follows his own values. He is a charismatic and visionary leader that is decisive and willing to cooperate with others to get things done. He likes to listen to all opinions before making his final decision, which tempers his impulsiveness and lessens his ability to make bad decisions. He also could be humane, enthusiastic, religious, subjective, intuitive and creative at times

As a kid I attended school with all the other kids for my first 12 years, located at the center of the world, in a place where people from all four temperaments meet. This medium sized town called Brushwind Village is home to the central government where the four leaders and their advisors meet for talks, negotiations, and discussions. It’s also a place that collects the four kingdoms together and is a place of trading and knowledge sharing.
At my high school graduation, I was singled out. Usually high school graduation is a time in which they reveal the students' Keirsey types and which kingdom they would live in for the rest of their lives. However I was singled out because they can’t decide at which Keirsey type I fall under. In order to determine which Keirsey type someone falls under or that best suits them they observe us throughout our lives up until this point and in school, and give us questionnaires and tests to help them figure out our strengths, weaknesses, and preferences. They also mainly use a special framework (called the MBTI framework) to help separate us into types. The framework proposes that a person’s thought processes and personality can be determined based on four different cognitive functions represented by a four letter pseudonym. The first letter is based on whether or not someone is energized by people (Extroversion) and are outgoing or prefer working alone (Introversion). The second letter shows how we gather information and whether or not we have a preference for paying attention to reality (Sensing) or for abstract theories, patterns, and possibilities (Intuition). The third letter shows how we make decisions based on the information gathered. It shoes whether or not we make decisions based on our feelings and inner values (Feeler) or based on objective facts and data (Thinking). The final letter shows how we deal with the outside world. It shows whether or not we prefer structure and firm decisions (Judging) or are more open, spontaneous, and adaptable (Perceiving).
The MBTI framework and Kiersey system are linked. The SP’s are the Artisans, the NT’s are the Rationals, the SJ’s are the Guardians, and the NF’s are the Idealists. Most people are easily identifiable into one of the 16 MBTI pseudonyms which then automatically sorts them into one of the four Keirsey temperaments.
The real problem with me is that I’m both a Feeler and a Thinker, as I like to be objective and analytical but at the same time like to follow my own values and feelings when it’s needed and I don’t have a particular preference for one over the other. It’s the same way with determining whether or not I was a Judger or Perceiver as I, as an extremely versatile person, could switch between both when it’s warranted. I am also able to combine abstract ideas and analysis with practical reality in a way that often amazes people which is one more thing that makes it even more difficult for me to type as they are not sure as to whether I was a Intuitive or a Sensor. The only thing that they’re sure about is me being a Extrovert, and as a result the only letter set in stone in the four letter MBTI pseudonym for me is “E”.
They said despite the fact that I technically could be any type, they said that I’m most likely an ENTJ, ENFP or ESTJ. But they are still overall undecided as to which type I am. They eventually named me a “TraitMaster'' which, according to them, is a master of all traits. As a result I have to choose myself which kingdom and career path I want to follow and live in. I don’t really have a specific idea or preference right now as I have many ideas that don't necessarily rank higher or lower in any way. But one thing is for sure, I do not want to stay in the same kingdom for which I grew up, which is the kingdom of the Guardians. All my life I’ve always hoped to explore the other kingdoms and actually move out of the kingdom I grew up in to have a different life, and despite my affinity towards Joe Biden as my favorite leader among the four leaders I just can’t tolerate not going out and exploring the other kingdoms and making my life different from what I’ve been used to.
After my high school graduation, the consul grouped all the other people that can’t be sorted into any one category together and was indecisive about which category to be in. They named us the “TraitMasters”. They organized a program to help us discover each of the four kingdoms and different types of jobs as well as the people living there. The program allows us to meet each of the four kings and we have to actually write a review on them in order to pass the program. However the catch is that we often take turns living with the king to find out more about them and we as a group turn in one review for each king. At the end of the program we then decide on which Keirsey type and kingdom we want to be part of. I hope that this will help me make a decision eventually.
While the program is running and I was part of it, I continued living in the same house that I grew up in in the Guardian kingdom.
However, something really bad happened before I was able to finish the program. People started getting sick with a mysterious virus and eventually these same people eventually become grotesque monsters or zombies. At first it seems like just a sneeze, but later the virus has some weird effects. It’s obvious that you can get infected by getting bit by a zombie or scratched by a monster. The virus could also be spread via the bloodstream and could enter our bodies through our eyes, nose and mouth. Biden responded swiftly to contain the virus and to help protect the people from the monsters which helped slow down the inevitable, however eventually nothing was enough to contain the spread of this mysterious germ that we know very little about and is way different from any of the other germs we’ve ever known in terms of its symptoms and effects.
Eventually my parents slowly succumbed to the virus and slowly started becoming monsters. I tried everything I can but at the same time don’t know what to do about something I know very little about. Eventually I made the hard decision to leave the house with my sister.
As the virus spreads into the neighboring kingdoms, chaos erupts. I eventually got bitten by a zombie, at first I was scared about turning into one of them. However I eventually realized that the virus didn’t have any effect on me which is weird.
