# Chapter 3 - The Kings Favor 

It was quite in the throne room. All you heard was the kings footsteps. He walked around Aldrea's crucified body. The kings eyes looked over him. He was examing him like a museum piece. 

The king stopped after inspectiong Aldrea. He spoke in a confident manner, as a king should. Demanding, Aldrea's attention as he spoke. 

[King:Allow me to introduce myself. I am Reinford the King of these lands. The fourth in my bloodline. It is a pleasure to see you demon!]

Hearing the king speak, Aldrea ignored him. He didn't feel like responding back to him. But he needed to get information. He then responded to the king. 

[Aldrea:"Why… why… am I in this situation?" "why are you doing this to me?" "Those are the answers I want. So I'm sure you can answers those questions for me, right king!"]

The king looked at him with a plain face then answered him. Although,he assumed Aldrea knew everything. 

[King:"Well I guess i have to explain a few things." "Do you see the writing on your neck"?]

Looking downwards to his neck he sees the writing which is unknown to him. 

[King:"You see the tales in our world are of many myths and legends. But one legend stands tall among the others. It's the legend speaking of the descendants of demons and angels. They are said that one day they will come forth. they will have markings on there body parts. They will decide where this world will go. They will either direct this world into more chaos or into greater virtue".]

Looking at the king, Aldrea was thinking of how and why he was even there. And the reasons that they held him captive. Why was the king telling him of this legend.

[Aldrea:"So,what made you guys think this legend was true? And not just word's passed down by old men trying to achieve the so called alluison of a God. 

A little stun by Aldrea statement. The king did a simple laugh. As if saying Aldrea doesn't know anything. 

[King:"You see boy the reason why people believe in this legend,is because the person that created this world say'd so himself. It was only a hundred years later he vanished and left this world".]  

Stunned by the answer Aldrea was holding a confused look. 

[Aldrea:"What do you mean by vanished"?]

[King:It is like I said he vanished. The only thing he left behind was his books. They gave us knowledge about events that were going to happen. Telling us what the future would like. Writing about earthquakes or floods which would happen. And so many more things. It also told us that destruction would happen. By beings of greater powers, coming down. they would judge us.The creatures (people) would have strange writings on there bodies. With this information we have waited. Waited for the day to come. Overtime,  though the other kingdoms grew restless. They where more out for themslves. They began betraying each other. Our last King, my father was betrayed by the other kingdoms. And thus we have been waging war with them. We have been on standstill with them. With our alliances its quite even between the kingdoms. So we thought once you, the beings came down to us. We could use your powers to help turn the tide into our favor.] 

Thinking about a few things, aldrea asked the king

[Aldrea:"How did you know when people like me would be here?"

[King:"Easy it said when one of you would come down the sky. Turn it red"]

[Aldrea:"And how many times has it done that"?]

[King:"About four times. Your the fifth one"] 

[Aldrea:"So you want to use my so called 'powers' to help you win this. The problem with that is that I have no caplites as a solider or a general. So you will be wasting your time with me. So, why would you still consider me after hearing this?"] 

[King:"Yes I would because there is always a way to even make the weakest man stay on the top. Up Among the strong. The fact your unable to die is handy. It will give you a advantage. So when we win this, I'll give you full rights as a citizen. And provide for you in anything you ask."] 

[Aldrea:"Oh, really if i start thinking about it I think i will take you up on that offer. But first I want the letter that was on me. I would like that returned to me. I would also ask you to translate it for me. As, you can see I can't understand your writing here. So, I would ask for help with that. For my living conditions i want one of the better houses here. So I ask that of thy king. So do we have a deal?"]

[King:"Yes…but do know that we will mold you into a soldier. And since it seems to be quite impossible to kill you during your training. You training, will put you thru hell. So demon prepare for that!"] 

With the deal said and done. All that was left was Aldrea smiling. His face looking exactly like a demon. Aldrea was laughing inside his mind.
