Chapter 13 - Tattoo

He screamed at the unknown pain the moment blood splattered on him. Jay clawed, cutting himself and wriggled around the ground hoping that the pain would go away; with the Kirin laid dead on top of him torn into shreds making the body into unrecognizable meat. His body was in so much pain that he felt like being bathed in volcano, his body ripped apart and the feeling of his body exploding all at the same time. He struggled to stay awake during the immense pain

*I will not lose, I must live*

He coughed up blood as he felt something moving within himself. He felt scared at this but he knew if he doesn’t man the fuck up he will never achieve his greatest desire of killing Grant so he gritted his teeth and screamed. Finding comfort in screaming he continued to struggle, til he suddenly came to a halt. The scream came to an end too but in his mind he was screaming intensely as before yet he doesn’t know this because his body got cut off from his consciousness due to the transformation happening to his body

Jay’s body healed up in an instant, then his body turned into jade colour and his eyes blackened with veins wriggling around his body screaming to get out of his skins that binds them. Until a mysterious tattoo appeared on his back shining a faint black and his body stopped transforming. The moment the tattoo appeared, it connected his mind back to his body as he started to scream again until he stopped when he realised there was no pain anymore

What happened is that the Kirin’s blood leaked into Jay’s wounds, invaded his body that devoured his blood combining the Kirin’s blood and Jay’s blood together to form a new blood. The blood fusion isn’t the only thing that happened as it travelled through his bloodstream breaking all the meridians in his body so it could accommodate the powerful blood, part of the Kirin’s ability also fused with his body making his body tougher by the milliseconds. But there was a price to be paid, an almost unbearable pain.

As for the mysterious tattoo, it appeared during Jay’s scream, when he cut himself in his pained state where part of his newly formed blood poured out onto the marbled floor surrounding his head. When the blood came into contact with the scroll next to Jay, it vanished and appeared on his soul orb inside of him

Jay didn’t know but this plain looking scroll is the highest grade scroll in the all the known planes ‘Mau te rongo’ what it means no one knows. The scroll ability is the rarest and most coveted ability of all; it grants the user to adjust the amount of power the user’s has absorbed, to the limit of his/her body and store the rest of the power inside the tattoo that materialize anywhere on his/her body until the body is strong enough to handle it. Legends say it has special abilities so powerful that it caused a great war in the God plane, what those abilities are nobody knows

Combing all the benefits this scroll give, no wonder it is so powerful and legendary that nobody thought was possible to possess because the unknown prerequisite is that the owner have a trace of divine power in him in order to blood-bound it. Which Jay filled the necessary requirement due to his blood fusion with the Jade Kirin who is a low-divine level beast, one of the rarest and most powerful Kirin of its kin born from the low-divine Kirin family who evolved into a high-divine Kirin

As Jay was panting from screaming at the unknown pain, he tried to figure out what the fuck happened to him. Thinking a little, he came to the conclusion that it was because of the blood that the beast spilled all over him and he shivered when he remembered the pain. It felt like eternity in pain to Jay when in actuality it all happened in 5 seconds from screaming to stopping to waking up.

“Fuckin crazy animal”

He cursed as he got up and find the dead beast so he can vent his anger on it. Searching around he could not find any trace of the beast in the corridor but he did see a large pool of what he suspect is blood. Thinking why he was here in the first place, he remembered that he was here for one purpose, kill Grant. Having made up his mind, he walked to the doorway of the corridor to continue his search until he stopped when he heard a loud scream echo in the corridor

“YOU THIEVING BASTARDS”

Thief? Not my business so I walk towards the door

“DON’T YOU FUCKEN STARE AT ME YOU FUCKING TRAITOR”

Traitor? Hm…..guess I will see what is going on considering I have looked everywhere in the sky (ok I didn’t see anything since all I could see was streaks of light zooming around the sky) and ground with no success. I also have this nagging feeling that I should go to the source of the sound, couldn’t quite put my finger on it but it told me I would be happy if I went. If my instinct is correct and that Grant is there, this indeed would make me extremely happy

“SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU 2 INCH COCKSUCKING LOVING DICK PIECE OF SHIT”

Jay stopped; shocked at how very similar it really is to his mother’s last words and the unmistakable voice, he squinted and steeled his resolve sprinting towards at the source. When he sprinted, Jay didn’t notice how fast he was going as he covered over 250m in 10 seconds with tears swelling in his eyes when he remembered his mother unwavering love, care and her occasional biting his head off for him

“Mother, you’re alive!? Alive right?”

I whispered as I sprinted in the corridor hoping to see my mother again, I sped up as much as possible because I feared my mother would leave when I arrive

“You didn’t die after all, hehe”

Jay’s mother is dead, that much Jay knew but at this moment he doesn’t care. The voice he heard brought up painful memories that he painstakingly buried in his head gush out to overwhelm his rational mind. In turn reverting his mind to a 6 year old kid running to his mother

When Jay arrived at an area with sound, what he saw was a scene of carnage and blood breaking him free of his childlike mind. Stunned at the whole area around what appears to be a tomb covered in blood he whispered

“What the fuck just happened here? The whole freaking floor is covered in blood”

As he searched from his left then around, he saw a woman on his right struggling to sit up properly. First thing that came to mind when he saw her was ‘is she the woman who called out’ until he saw a figure ran past her from Jay’s point of view. Jay couldn’t help but look at who ran past his eyesight, who he saw made him stunned until a robed person jumped in his way, thus blocking his view of who he saw which broke him out of his shock

Jay got angry at whoever this was blocking his way, so he sprinted to the purple robed person, put his hand on the person’s stomach and pushed the body aside

When he got 2cm past the person he saw the lady close to the man who turned out to be Sei, before he could ponder what Sei was trying to say because her mouth was moving while crying at the same time, he saw himself get enveloped in white light that froze him

*What the?*

Confused, I tried to turn around to look at the robed person who attacked me, before I could see I blacked out

What happen is Jay got hit by both ‘Plane Intervention’ and ‘Oblivion’ at the same time. Melody who was casting her magic against Daymon’s magic, got shoved aside while she was shooting her magic light beam from her palm instinctively she aimed at the unknown person while falling down hitting dead on target. At the same time Daymon’s magic was almost upon Melody til she was shoved out of the way and a new person took her place, resulting in his magic hitting Jay enveloping him in darkness

This kind of conclusion would have resulted in death should Jay have taken any one of the magic by itself, but he took both at the same time. Before the magic of both side hit Jay, when both magic got within 10cm distance of him the air suddenly cracked from the intensity of the magic about to collide that surrounded Jay as the crack got wider with both magic getting closer before impacting. The collision of both magic hitting him tore his body into shreds, as his body started to get smaller and smaller until the tattoo engraved on his soul shined.

The tattoo unleashed all the power that it stored from the Jade Kirin to engulf Jay in a jade coloured ball to counteract the force against its Master and created a space passage to escape through with the unconscious Jay

What the tattoo displayed is one of its special abilities ‘Mārū’, an ability to protect the user itself from harm anyway possible to protect the Master. Slowly it entered through the passage it created, with rainbow streaks hidden in the darkness whipping against the jade shield before it finally found a large hole slowly getting smaller in this darkness, without a moment wait the jade ball holding Jay zoomed towards the hole before it could close up
