The Tales from Elemorion
The Pirate and the Sea

The Pirate and the Sea

Billy O' Hearties was man of the sea,

sailing the waves, drunken and free.

His black beard waved on the wind,

But now it's ashen gray,

tho' age has got him in it's grasp,

He still lives by his way.

He was not a married man,

nor will he ever be,

From all the pretty girls at bay,

his lady was the sea.

She is a queen, a majesty

of every man that's free,

To her he keeps his loyalty

and forever loyal he will be.

He never plundered a boat or ship,

that belonged to sailors poor,

But he was a scourge of those that think

That wast seas they can rule.

When he was young, on shore he spoke,

as wind waved all sheets three:

"I am not a married man,

nor will I ever be,

From all the pretty girls at bay,

my lady is the sea.

She is a queen, a majesty

of every man that's free,

To her i keep my loyalty,

and forever loyal I will be."

And on that night the voice awoke,

As waves rushed by decree,

"I'm blue and wast so endlessly,

The one that you call the Sea,

As long as you will stay with me,

always you'll be free,

And from the day when your journey ends,

you'll be with me, eternally."
