Yuuto's Point of View

The prince of the kingdom is here before us, A young man with blond hair and silver eyes, He wore a Black tuxedo, A blue pants, A pair of black leather boots and A blue mantle to cover his body. On his wrist was a Kodachi that was about 55 centimeters long. He turned his eyes towards me and said.

"I think i've seen you somewhere......."(Elrone)

He stared at me for a while trying to remember who I'm. Then he looked at my clothes and on the left breast pocket of my jacket he saw the Yurimura family crest so he smiled and said.

 "So Yona-chan you really did came? I though father was only joking but it's still nice to see you."(Elrone)

" You knew about the assassins from the kingdom of Raidromia right? You're aware that they're here to take you away as a hostage. That's why the king sent me here. So that I can protect you Elrone-san"(Yona)

He smiled at Yona-san and turned his eyes towards me. His eyes were full of rage I felt like he's trying to intimidate me, However I felt no ill intention in his eyes. But rather it's jealousy? But why.

Is he jealous of me? He treats Yona-san like she's a princess but what about me? Does he like Yona-san? I must first confirm if it's true or not, I also wanted to ask him a favor so I smiled at him and said.

"Would you like to have a sparring match with me? Your highness?"(Yuuto)

"That seems like fine, Fine let's have a sparring match right now. But what weapon will you use?"(Elrone)

"I'm a magic user so I don't need any weapon for now. But I have one weapon that I usually use. Anyway let's begin."(Yuuto)

After I gave the signal he quickly drew his Kodachi and leaped towards me, But I blocked his attack with a kick from my right leg and then I leaped back and chanted.

"Accept this offer and release my true nature. Materialization Arts."(Yuuto)

I casted the magic that I'm great at it's called Materialization Arts. A magic that allows the user to create anything with magical energy, With this spell I can create and Utilize a weapon made of magical energy that are on par with a sacred weapon. I created a sword made of magical energy and pointed it towards Elrone.

"Oh.... You used materialzation Arts huh? That's an advance magic that even I can't use, But I can see that you're not skilled in close quarter combat like me. Your moves were sluggish so you should prepare yourself."(Elrone)

Once again he leaped towards me to strike me down with his blade, I tried to intercept his attack with my blade. But after I parried his attack my sword it instantly vanished. And his attack pierced my left shoulder and blood started to gushed out of the wound after he drew the sword from my wound.

"What did you just do? There's no way that my magic was instantly destroyed by an ordinary Kodachi"(Yuuto)

While blood was dripping from my wound I asked my question, But he laughed at me and said.

"Didn't you realize what my sword is? It's a sacred treasure that possessed the power to render magic upon contact. It's name is shattered fragment of the energy of life."(Elrone)

He stared at me while thinking that he's won, But he didn't realize that magical energy was being gathered in my left hand and I begun to use my greatest magic.

"Allow me to show you my true strength Materialization Arts: Re-Creation"(Yuuto)

The magical energy that was gathered in my left hand started to replicate the Kodachi of Elrone-sama and a few moments later the Kodachi in Elrone-sama's hand was completely replicated and I swung my Kodachi against his.

Clang!.... Clang!....

The kodachi that I made clashed against his own, He was suprised that my blade didn't disappear so with a troubled face he looked at me and said.

"Why didn't your weapon disappear? My kodachi can render any kind of magic, So why are yours still in one piece?"(Elrone)

"It's the new form of Materialization Arts that I have invented it's called Re-Creation. It allows me to replicate any kind of weapon that i've seen with my eyes and then recreate the weapon, And the weapon will lose the weakness of the original, It will also retain the abilities of the original and it also creates new abilities for the created weapon."(Yuuto)

But this ability can't be activated more than ten times in a single day. However the weapon created is saved my memory so I can recreate it at anytime. I pointed my kodachi towards the prince and arrogantly said.

"Is this the limits of the proud prince of this country?  If you can't beat a weakling like me then how are you going to beat demons who are several times stronger than me?"(Yuuto)

'Shut up!!!!! Don't get too ahead of yourself boy!"(Elrone)

"I guess it's my turn to show you my final trump card huh? Then here I go!!!"(Elrone)

He dashed towards me but something's different, His movements were faster than before. Our distance of 200 meters but he was able to close the gap within two seconds. He swung his sword towards me.

"Taste the wrath of my blade!!!"(Elrone)

"I intercepted his attack with my sword.

Clang!....

I successfully blocked his attack but something then suprised me. Blood started to drip from my right hand. And when I looked at it he managed to stab me with his sword. But how? I leaped back to get away from him but after I jumped back he was already behind me.

I quickly tried to evade his attack but it's too late. Elrone quickly stabbed my abdomen and more blood started to gush out of my body. Then he smiled at me and said.

"Is this all that you're capable of doing? You were talking all of those nonsense but you're even weaker than me.... Don't try to lecture me if you can't even beat me."(Elrone)

This is bad.... My body's losing too much blood if this keeps up I might die. But if I can't get away from him then I can't cast healing magic. I must think of a way to get away from him first.

Without giving me a chance to escape he continued his relentless assualt, He smiled at me and said.

"Did you think that you can beat me? I'm one of the greatest swordsmen in this kingdom and only one person has defeated me and thus that person has earned my respect. Can you overcome this challange and defeat me?"(Elrone)

It doesn't seems like he's trying to provoke me, But rather it see he's complimenting me? But why?

"Most of the people that i've fought has given up when I showed them the diffrence in our skills, But despite the difference in skill you continued to fight me thus earning my respect, I dislike people who give up when they're pushed back, Only two people has showed me such resolve to fight, So I will show you my respect towards you in this fight"(Elrone)

I had always thought that the prince was a little arrogant brat, But I was wrong he only wanted to fight an opponent which had conquered their fear to fight a person that was superior to them. I pointed my sword towards the prince and said.

"Thank you for those kind words, But I will still defeat you your highness to prove you that skill is only a factor on the battlefield and you can still defeat your opponent despite being weaker."(Yuuto)

"If you can really do it then try it, Just to give you an advantage I'll tell you something about my attack, I used a skill called Altered strike, After one of my attacks was blocked or dodged it will rewrite reality to make the missed attack a successful hit."(Elrone)

"That's a really powerful ability, So in other words your attacks can't be dodge or blocked am I right?"(Yuuto)

"But this ability also has some weaknesses, For example if a person that I tried to attack was 5 meters away from the target then the attack will not trigger the ability. For example if I intended to hit you from 500 meters away using a bow and the arrow only reached 494 meters then the ability is not triggered and you will not be hit by the attack. The second weakness is the altered attack can't inflict any fatal wounds on the target. Though it stroke your abdomen your still alive aren't you? The ability prevents fatal wounds from being created so it doesn't give you an edge over your enemies."(Elrone)

 He showed me a card and said.

"Take a looka at my this card to see how strong I am."(Elrone)

He showed me his adventurer's guild card, He was sent by his father to become an adventurer when he was only ten years old and he seems to have became stronger from that time, Normally people who aren't 15 and above can't become adventurer's. But Yona-san and Elrone-sama were an exempted from this rule due to his father's influence. I also became an adventurer because of my father's position as the duke of this kingdom, He told me to become an adventurer so that I can learn more about the world and the demons. I've faced countless monsters with my former group the Blades of steel. But one day we were wiped out by a group of orcs and I've decided to retire from being an adventurer.

As far as I can remember my status aren't very high but it was enough to survive.

But when I looked at the card of the prince I was suprised by his status.

Skills: Altered strikes : Every attack that was within 5 meters can't be dodged or blocked. They will always inflict non-fatal wounds to the target if the attack was within a 5 meters and if the attack was intended to hit the target.

Tolerance against death: When near to death your body will produce magical energy that will heal any fatal wounds and also greatly improve the physical abilities of the user.

King's blood: Protect you from any attack that's made by people who has less swordsmanship skills than you.

Once i've compared the difference in our skills I decided that if I don't respond to the feelings of the prince then it can shame both my family name and Yona-san might think that I'm only a burden, I can't afford to lose here.

I gathered all the energy from my body and casted a spell.

"Replicate!"(Yuuto)

It's another magic that i've invented, With this magic I can replicate the skills of my opponent in swordsmanship and Archery.

With this I can now hurt Elrone-sama with my blade so I leaped towards him and prepared to attack, I also activated my skill Masteries of Magic by sacrificing an important memory I've gain a large amount of magical energy in return. I used that energy to use the magic Reinforcement. It's a magic that improve the physical abilities of the user by a certain amount. Everytime it's used it also increase the improvement in physical abilities, I checked my card for the first time in three years and it's been updated.

With my newly improved physical abilities I launched an all-out attack on Prince Elrone. But I wondered at first what memory I just lost I can't remember what I just lost, But I knew it was something important but I must now focus on the battle.
