Gronk is wyvern. Wyvern not quite dragon, but close. 

Gronk live in cave. Cave in mountain. Mountain covered in forest. 

Gronk several years old. Snow comes, snow goes, Gronk stays. 

Today Gronk hunt for rabbit. Rabbit good food. Many rabbits hide, run, when Gronk pass by. Rabbits fun to hunt. Hunting becomes game, becomes challenge. Other things, fish, deer, not challenge. Boring, or annoying. Fish easy, and good if no rabbit around, but boring. Deer run fast, becomes chase, deer run and run and run, becomes annoying. But rabbit always fun. Rabbit taste best, too. 

Gronk flies through trees, searching. There are trails on ground, trails things that can’t fly use. But Gronk uses trails in trees, trails Gronk made and only Gronk uses. Well, sometimes owl uses tree trail, but only at night. Owl hunts in dark, Gronk hunts in light. 

No rabbits live near Gronk cave. Rabbits know. Rabbits scared. Gronk flies fast, travels far, but not too far. Travel too far and Gronk will get to human trail. Human trail big, straight, ugly. Humans noisy, not taste good, fight to prove strength. Gronk stay away from human. Gronk stop flying before gets to human trail and listen, smell. 

Birds above. Insects near. Frogs far. Bear north. Gronk respect bear, not hunt bear. Bear not hunt Gronk. Deer south. Rabbit east. 

Gronk look east, crouch on branch. Gronk see branches move in wind, see birds hunt insects, see trail, see rabbit. 

Three rabbits. One up, two eating. One rabbit always up, always watching. Rabbits careful. Rabbits fun to hunt. 

Gronk move silently, not flying, run down branch and glide to next. 

Rabbit watching goes down to eat. Next rabbit sits up to watch. Looks around, looks up. 

Gronk not move. Gronk color of leaves, with brown belly. If Gronk not move, rabbit not see. 

Rabbit not see. Rabbit look around, not up, trusting ears for up. 

Gronk move again, move slowly. Slow movement, silent movement. Rabbit not look up. Gronk get to branch above rabbits, drool on teeth. 

Rabbit watching goes down to eat. Next rabbit sits up. Rabbit looks around. Rabbit looks up, screams.

Gronk drop, teeth ready, talons ready. Rabbits run, one direction each. Gronk follow fattest one, south. Fat rabbit run fast, run zig-zag, run under bushes. Gronk follow, knowing rabbit tricks. Not fooled. Getting closer. 

Rabbit get to stream, jump fast to jump across. Gronk jump faster, neck stretching out. Teeth catch rabbit mid-air. Rabbit kick, scream. Gronk bite down. Rabbit stop. 

Gronk climb tree, sit on branch, eat rabbit. Rabbit good, rabbit fat. Good chase, good hunt, made Gronk happy. Gronk happy wyvern. 

When rabbit gone, Gronk clean talons. Talons important, need to be clean. Dirty talons become sick talons. Sick talons become sick wyvern. Sick wyvern become dead wyvern. Dead wyvern bad. Clean talons good. 

Gronk cleaning last talon when Gronk smell human. Human road near, but still far. Human should not be here. 

Gronk crouch on branch, look around, listen for human. See human. Small human, young human. Moving slowly, moving stiffly. Gronk move closer, curious, cautious. 

Human sniff. Cry out, babble. Then stop, turn around, keep moving. Human lost. Clearly. 

Gronk listen hard. Gronk only hear young human, no more. That good. Humans in forest bad. One human in forest less bad. 

Human sit down, sniff, curl up. Not good. Small human need be on road, not in forest. Humans stay on road. 

Gronk look over human, judging. Move wings, testing. Gronk decide Gronk can lift small human, take to road. Leave human on road. 

Gronk move silently from branch to branch, until above human. Human not look up. Human cry out. Gronk drop, grab, lift. 

Human scream, flail, wail. Gronk fly, fly fast, fly noisily. Human heavy, small but heavy. Gronk annoyed. 

Human stop screams. Human stop flails. That good. Gronk take human through forest, using ground trails. Gronk not like ground trails, but can’t lift human high. 

Gronk get to human trail, stop, drop human, glide to branch. Gronk pant. Human heavy, flight long. 

Human less scared. Human cry out, yell, look around. Gronk hear humans call from east, adult humans. Small human not hear. Small human move west, into forest again. 

Gronk very annoyed. Gronk drop to ground, in forest, in front of human. 

“Skeeeeronk!!!”

Human run back to human trail. Good. Human yell, not move, not move. Adult humans get closer. Small human hears, yells. 

Gronk jump back to branch, goes back into forest. Gronk goes to stream, drinks, catches frog. Frog not good food, poison. But fun to catch. Like rabbit. 

Sun gets high, air gets warm. Air gets too warm. 

Gronk not like air too warm. Makes moving hard. Gronk goes to Gronk cave, cool cave, nice cave. 

Gronk settle down, watching branches move with wind. 

Gronk will nap until dusk, when sun low. When air cool again. Then Gronk will hunt another rabbit, eat, return to cave before owl wakes up.

But now, Gronk nap.
