At the dawn of time, there existed four overlords, the rulers of all that is.
But in that moment, there was nothing but a vast endless void, flooring the reaches of their unending glory.
So, they got to work painting the cosmos. Crafting a perfect universe indifferent from their visions.
The first, pioneered the engineering of stars and nebulae. Wiring together massive celestial bodies to act as one ever-flowing web of galactic wonders. Breathing fire into the void. And soon after, planets and bodies of rocks were scattered like dots onto the cosmic canvas. The first of many to come.
The second, sculpted time itself, carving a path for all things to follow. With its birth came the endless river of possibilities, branching into countless destinies. Yet, no matter how magnificent the beginning, it carries out the same fate for all with a swift swing of its scythe.
The third, weaved together these raw elements. Stringing together a sophisticated network that binded these unyielding behemoths into one. A labyrinth of rules and laws were imbued into the universe. Laws that even the stars and heavens had to follow. It pierced a spear of realization into their new offspring, foolishly thinking that it would acknowledge no bounds.
And finally the fourth, birthed life onto the universe. Forging meaning into this vast jungle of inanimate objects. The stars took the role as watchers of these curious things. They saw them rain bloodshed on their own homes, but also pillar passion, love, determination, all these emotions incomprehensible for these galactic overseers, into the skies.
But.
He made one mistake, he gave them… free will.
Soon, fear, fury, rage, wrath, all murdered the joyful intentions of these fellow creatures. Casting aside the blade of wonder, to inherit the hammer of destruction. Their minds began to stretch into space’s endless expanse. Tiling the start of their new conquest against the millions of suns.
Their sins voided the light, flooding an endless sea of blackness onto the universe. Turning persevered mortals into indifferent, monochromatic robots. The stars dripped with hatred. As more and more innocents were corrupted by their unending flame.

Eventually, they turned their faces outward of all space and time, aiming to bring the end to their own creators.
Rajak, the Supreme Ruler, leader of these terrible armies began the hunt. He knew that they were no match, but to punish the overlords that brought them into this horrible existence, he ordered them to wipe out all that they had created. Bringing them back to square one, and leaving only a void of hopes and dreams.
But their oaths did not go unnoticed.
In an instant, he and his armies were burned out of time. Their own matter revoking their presence.
“What have you done? Vomiting horrible beasts onto this perfect plane of existence.”
“They were perfect when I created them! It seems something has altered their souls.”
“No, we are the perfect lifeforms responsible for erasing every mistake there is. You have violated that rule, therefore your glory is now stained. For that you are impure, and for that you must be eradicated.”
“Eradicate? You’re going to end me? We here are all equals, you really think you possess the power to destroy me?”
“It is not I that will destroy you, it is we. You made the mistake of respecting their decisions, giving them a chance to think on their own, and now look where it led you. This will serve as a lesson for you next time, although there will be no next time.”
“What? So you want me to just create mindless robots occupying even more mindless rocks of dust and gas? There would be no meaning to life, or anything in that matter!”
“We aren’t here to befriend and think with our creation, we are here to watch and be entertained.”
“That is-”
“Silence! Your sins will not be forgiven.”
“Wait, but shouldn’t we at least give him a second chance? He is just as much as you and I are.”
“If you want to join his fate, then sure.”
“...”
“Good.”
Pure light flashbanged the universe, tearing apart its skin and flesh. Existence itself cried.
His godly essence tainted the void, refilling the gaps that were left by Rajak and his armies.
“Goodbye, old friend.”
