Swiftly he closed the window and examined the group far more closely. The Necromancer had taken out a stick and was directing it at the sun. First Nicholas examined the zombies holding the cage, then the two body guards and finally the Necromancer.

Based on his skills Nicholas felt confident in fighting the zombies, especially as these seemed far less of a threat then the ones he saw under Narak. But the Necromancer was going to be a problem, even if he was not fully charged on mana. Looking around, he determined that this place would be the best to ambush them.
Sneaking back, he said to Frankie, "There is a Necromancer up ahead with six zombies. I'm going to jump the Necromancer, and you sneak around back and attack the zombies holding the cage."
"What? Why don't we just sneak around them?"
"He has two dwarf girls held captive in a cage. We need to set them free. Plus I obtained a quest from Jack to do it."
Frankie sighed and said "Goddammit, I hate the undead." Frankie began to silently move to the rear of the zombies. Nicholas moved close and looked at the Necromancer. The necromancer was muttering under his breath about how they gave him a bad map.
Wanting to take the Necromancer by surprise, Nicholas began to charge up the spark of the sun to temporarily blind him and spotted a shadow near the Necromancer. Spotting Frankie he nodded his head to start, and Nicholas shadowstepped into the shadow next to the startled Necromancer.
Nicholas unleashed the spark of the sun right into the face of the Necromancer who cursed from the bright light. Nicholas shut it off, and moved to attack the Necromancer. Artinas still blinded sensed he was approaching and said "Fool, you do not know who your messing with!"
Artinas raised his staff and dark cloud flowed out five feet around him. Nicholas watched as plants began to wither and die. He could feel the cloud start to burn his skin. But his healing kicked in and kept him from taking to much damage. Nicholas swung his knife at the necromancer and slashed his blade deep into the arms.
Yelping in pain, Artinas backed up and cursed at his zombies to get him, and then began to cast another spell. Nicholas shadowstepped right behind the Necromancer and jammed his blade deep into the back of him. Artinas screamed in pain and jumped forward dropping his staff.
Looking over to see how Frankie was doing, Nicholas saw Frankie had already dispatched two of the zombies. They had dropped the cage causing it to tip over. The Dwarf girls inside fell to the side. The Two body guard zombies were shuffling at Nicholas.
They brandished some rusty swords at him, sidestepping them, Nicholas slammed his blade into one of the zombies skulls over and over again until it was dead. The other one swung wildly at him, Nicholas dodged the blade and dropkicked the awkward zombie and picked up the other rusty blade and jammed it into its skull.
Turning back to the necromancer, Nicholas barely managed to avoid losing his head, as the Necromancer slashed towards him. Backing up, Nicholas snatched one of the rusty blades off the ground and began to sword fight this necromancer.
Every time Nicholas blocked the blood red blade, he could tell his strength was being depleted. The necromancer attempted to perform a big swing to break through Nicholas defense, seizing this chance he jumped forward. The Necromancer lost his balance, and Nicholas ran the sword through Artinas neck.
A look of utter surprise went over Artinas face, and a death rattle came out of the mans mouth. He collapsed onto the ground. Looking up Nicholas saw the other zombies were just standing around. It appeared they were mostly mindless without Arinas to command them.
Taking his knife he quickly slayed them. Recovering his breath, Nicholas looked at Frankie and saw her wiping down her blade. "You alright?"
"Yeah, sorry I wasn't much help. I nearly got crushed by that cage. My legs are exhausted, I couldn't move any faster."
"It's alright." Nicholas went to the cage and looked at the dazed dwarf girls. "Are you okay?"
The Black haired one shook her head and said "Oof, that was a rough landing. Thanks for helping us get free - Watch Out!"
Jumping to the side as a red blade nearly cut Nicholas. The Necromancer had gotten back up, and was now shambling at Nicholas. His skin was now gray, and his eyes were blank. He was muttering a word over and over "Kill."
Using his knife, he slashed at the hand of the newly risen ghoul that was holding the red blade. The ghoul dropped the blade and slashed at Nicholas with his other hand. Dodging the hand, Nicholas grabbed the red blade, rising up in a great swing, he cut off the head of Artinas.
The body collapsed in a heap, and Nicholas felt a massive surge of energy flow through him. He had gained a level, and now he could feel the energy flowing down into his lower half. The energy pushed him to the edge, and when Frankie came over and touched him, he felt an orgasmic pulse and then wetness filled his trousers.
She said "Are you okay? You were out of it there."
Feeling a bit embarrassed at what just happened "Yeah, It was just a level up. Just give me a moment." Nicholas took a deep breath, and then leaned down and examined the necromancer's body. He found a pouch. Opening it, he found it was a spatial bag.
Taking a look inside, he found a key. Along side it was some glass bottles with crude bugs with crosses over them, which indicated it was the bug repellent. Guaranteed to kill and repel all bugs. In addition there were several odd looking vials full of blood. Examining them Nicholas was shocked.
Blood of the Fey- The Necromancer captured and drained several fey to fill these bottles. His dark reasons are known only to him. Filled with magic.
Pulling out the key, he attached the bag to his belt and said "Keep an eye on those zombies. I don't want to be surprised again if they suddenly spring up." Nicholas cautiously climbed ontop of the sideway's cage to the door. Looking down at the dwarf girls, he said "I'll get you out in a moment."
Stolen novel; please report.
Opening the door, he held his hand and gently lifted the girls out one by one. Then he got down from the cage carefully and helped the girl down. The black haired girl said, "I'm Debra, and this is my sister Denise. Sincerely thank you for releasing us."
Nicholas asked "So why did that guy capture you?"
"We were with a small caravan headed towards Narak. Without warning we got hit by a wave of undead, and they captured us and hurled us into the cage. Several other necromancers seized the others in the caravan. The one that captured us said we were going to be sacrifices to feed the goddess."
"That sucks. Is sacrificing people starting to be a thing now? I was literally almost sacrificed myself." Frankie said.
Leaving the girls talking candidly amongst themselves, Nicholas picked up the map that the Necromancer had dropped. Taking a look at it and looking at the direction the Necromancer was looking at. He realized the necromancer had been holding the map upside down. No wonder he was confused.
New Quest- Investigate the temple the Necromancer was heading too.
Looking again the dwarf twins, he asked "So what did the two of you want to do?"
"Well we were headed to Narak to get a apprenticeship at a local blacksmith. But..." Debra looked at Denise and said "We would like to hang out with you guys till we get to a new city. If we head out on our own, I'm afraid we will run into more of those necro wackos."
Nicholas nodded thoughtfully and said "We are travelling towards a local Elf village, but it's the opposite direction of Narak. Before that however, I just received a mission from my god to investigate the temple this guy was looking for."
"Thats fine with us. Our chances of getting an apprenticeship were slim, and quite honestly it sounds like it will be fun to hang with you for a bit."
Nodding Nicholas examined the Red blade he had gotten from the Necromancer.
Deasma Sword of Everlasting Bloodthirst. Absorb the blood of others to heal the wielder of the blade. With use can increase the Blood Drinking Skill. As you possess the divine energy of the Goddess Everlai within you, the sword recognizes you as it’s true master, and negative effects of the enchanted sword will not apply. Any other wielder then a rightful master, will gradually descend into becoming a ghoul.
-All cuts cause wounds to bleed more
-All attacks cause weakness in enemies.
-Has been fed Pixie Blood. All magic cast through the sword costs ten percent less.
-As you are not a Vampire, wielding this sword will not increase your bloodlust. Your blood drinking however will cause you to develop a taste for blood of your enemies while wielding the blade.
Finding the sheath for the blade on the Necromancer, he attached it to his belt. Frankie looked at him and said "Learning to use a sword now?"
"Maybe. This sword recognizes me as it's master."
"Oh? Then you better give me the next magical weapon you find."
Nicholas smirked and pulled up his status to check on what had changed.

Making the decision he would continue to go with the path he had decided upon, Nicholas added another point to strength. For his next one he decided to go with Charisma. He wanted to see next time he became Nicole, how charisma affected his alter ego. Thinking of Nicole, he put aside the skill point he had gained at the moment, for he had his eye on a skill that cost thirty points.
When he wasn't thinking about how to help Frankie (or how attractive she was), he had searched the system store for skills. He had found it buried in body altering ones, and while it was expensive, he would gain the ability to change his body, he could make Nicole be as he envisioned her, and be able to return to Nicholas when he wanted.
Naturally that was still several levels ahead of him. When he had discovered the skill, he had asked Jack if Frankie could use it, and Jack replied that it was unlikely as the curse would fight any attempt to change her gender back. Taking a look at Frankie, Nicholas once again felt that increasing draw to her.
Shaking his head, he directed his attention to the twins. Nicholas had a sudden thought and opened the messenger and asked "Jack, could you create a blacksmith class?"
A few seconds later Jack responded "That is doable. But any blacksmith is going to have a harder time. The only way to currently gain levels is to slay monsters. Are you perhaps thinking about changing classes? I would not recommend it to you."
"Not for me, these dwarven twins were looking for a apprenticeship. I owe you for helping me save Frankie, and these two look like good followers for you. Plus if they go with us I can help them level." Nicholas said.
"They both don't have a god at the moment, so I am able to contract with them. I didn't think about having my Users look for more Users for me. Thank you Nicholas for the suggestion. Before I create the class please speak with them to see if it is something they would even agree too.
"Alright." Walking over to the twins he said "I was just speaking with my god, if you want to be blacksmiths, my god Jack can help you achieve that. All you would have to do is sign a contract with him. If you are interested, he will contact you, if your not he wont."
Denise looked at him and said "Are you a priest?"
"No, Jack is just very communicative to his followers."
Debra looked at her sister and said "I'm unsure why a god would be interested in us. What do you think Denise?"
"Your god can instruct us to be blacksmiths? Is he some sort of blacksmithing god?"
Shaking his head, Nicholas said "No, to be correct Jack is a system. What he provides his followers is the ability to select classes which grant them knowledge and powers. He is willing to create a blacksmith class for you if you decide to join."
Denise thought for a moment and asked "What other classes does he have?"
"You don't want to be a blacksmith?"
"Not really, I was only going for Debra. What I really want is to be an adventurer. I was only going to be a blacksmith to gather some gold before going." Denise said.
Debra cut in to the conversation and said "I truly wanted to be a blacksmith, but honestly I also wanted to go adventuring with my sister as well."
"Well, you can be a blacksmith; the only issue is that you won't be able to level up your class unless you kill monsters. But if your sister selects a different class, she can assist you with that."
"Cool. You want to do this sis?" Denise looked at Debra.
"Yeah. Tell your god we are interested."
