Day 1
Hive Hatchery
‘Why is everything so dark…?’ I thought
I hear rhythmic beats, roaring.
Around me was the Abyss-like darkness, swirling and moving. I couldn’t see anything. The only thing I could feel were the gentle pulses; heart-beat like vibrations seemingly surround me. I felt weird as I could not feel my limbs
Then the beats quickened, gentle pulses turned into loud screeching, halted screams as tremendous pressure began to illustrate itself into this empty abyss. Like diving deep down thousands of feet under-water and then given salvation through quick surface, I felt myself ejected from wherever I was and fell down on a short slope. I felt my body rolling down the hard floor but I felt no pain… only slick wetness and the cold winds passing by with its greetings…
It was when the chill came that I noticed that I could open my eyes… or so I thought. My ‘Eyes’ opened and without warning, bright light surged. Blinding me into momentary faze.
I shook myself… forced myself awake. Fighting the Drowsiness that threatened to take me to sleep’s sweet embrace. Blurred shapes came to greet me with their indifferent colors. The blinding light… it seems, is but a small glowing stone attached to the barren cobblestone walls, with nerve-like lines traversing along the walls.
‘OH SHIT’
There could have been more appropriate words verbalized for the shock I just receive. But the Giant egg-shaped thing behind me turned out to be the thing that released me, birthed me or whatever it did to me to secrete me from its gaping orifice, other than this one, there at least a dozen scattered around and was too much of sight, enough to induce momentary immobility.

Panicking… I attempted to move, and I felt my entire torso, without arms, what attempt I made seemed futile, as another huge creature began to move in the corner of my eye…
When it got closed enough, it picked me up, hard carapace covered hands, black as night, with a hidden tint of green. It examined me with its beady black eyes, seemingly satisfied with my look… it created soft hisses and noises, rough squeaking sounds yet it those sounds felt warm…
The sounds it made; had made me feel safe… I tried to speak yet the same hisses, soft noises and squeaks were the only thing I could produce… it looked at me gently, its circular black eyes looked at me with interest.
I didn’t know what was happening and felt dreadful because of my state… but the creature made me feel safe, its rough hands stocked with claws held me gently as it can, the small act reduced the stressful predicament.
‘At least I know it won’t eat me…’
I stared at its eyes, eyes that held the glint of understanding and inordinate intellect.
I then found myself cradled and bound with rough leather-skins covering me like a protective shell… I felt myself being lulled to sleep as stupor began to cloud my mind… i stopped struggling and accepted my fate as I felt more lethargic than ever… waiting for the dreams to come and take me from this repulsive nightmare…
