Adam stared blankly at his status, at first he was just going for a poison build because he has done so many in the past and just to screw around, but the further he went into this, the more it looked like it was going to become a reality. The synergy between his skills meant that he may become a build that could thrive in this environment, and could feel motivation flowing through his veins to become part of the top ranking of this game with his unorthadox build. A system message gave Adam the prompt to have a tutorial on skills, which he accepted.
[Health is determined by your constitution score multiplied by 10 plus half of your endurance score. Health regenerates at your endurance score per hour.
Mana is determined by your intelligence multiplied by 5 and Mana regen is your intelligence.
Strength determines how much you can carry (not inventory slots, but physically in a backpack, etc) and your unarmed damage, plus damage with strength type weapons.
Dexterity determines how fast you can swing weapons, and is used to determine damage with dexterity type weapons.
Magic Attack is worth half of your intelligence and Physical Attack is worth half of your strength, however weapons may change this. An example being that a wand may use intelligence to determine your Magic Attack, while another wand may use your wisdom. However casting with your hands or unarmed attacking will use intelligence and strength respectively.
Defence will mostly be increased by equipment, however Magic Defence is one tenth your wisdom, and Physical Defence is 1/10th your endurance.
Agility governs how fast you can move, and is only affected by items. Every point over 10 you have with agility, you move .5% faster
Also, all calculations are rounded down]
Adam thought for a second, before putting both his free points into Intelligence increasing his mana to 60 and his magic attack to 6. Once he closed his status, he looked in his inventory, which he was successfully able to guess was the same as status, just think and it appears. He equipped the robe and staff he got from the mannequin class, the robe increased his magic defence by 2 points, and the staff increased his magic attack by 5, almost doubling it to 11.

"Now that you are finished with character creation and stat allocation, there is one hour, thirteen minutes, and twenty-four seconds until the game opens. You may ask me questions, or browse through the city catalogue to learn about starting cities before you choose one." The dragonfolk told Adam, reminding him the game isn't actually open yet.
Adam was content with looking through the starting cities catalogue and read about economics, culture, and more about cities that he would choose soon. Adam noticed that even though he would have access to dragonfolk cities/villages, there was only one small village of dragonfolk. When he inquired to the dragonfolk guide about this, Adam got told that dragonfolk never like being together, being as prideful as actual dragons and wanting to hoard gold, both inhereited traits from being descendants of real dragons. This means that dragonfolk would rather be in other cities, as their own villages are never able to last long enough due to the arrogance of dragons combining with only dragonfolk causing frequent fights and the want to hoard means dragonfolk never spend more money than they need to, causing economic stagnation, followed by the dragonfolk to leave the village to find wealth and fame elsewhere.
Once it was the final three minutes until the game opens, Adam had three cities he was debating about after an hour of filtering through cities and favoriting ones that he thought looked good, then repeating the process until he was left with just three cities. All of the cities had portals in their empires, meaning if Adam didn't like the city he chose he could just relocate, but the cost was far more than he would be willing to spend in the start, so he had to make a meaningful choice.
The first city Adam looked at was Chiflonn, a city that was a part of its own faction, the "United Empire". It was a city that apparently belonged to a now ancient empire but after mistreatment of other races in the city, the civilians took up arms and overthrew the ruler and replaced that ruler with the one who organized the overthrowing of the king, and since then the city has been part of its own empire that promised unity with all races, and would fight to ensure that. It housed a few dungeons, a couple low level dungeons and one medium and high rank dungeon, while also boasting about the ocean access it had on the east, making it a trading hub, and the mountaints to the north and forest to the west which house monsters which can yield great materials and the forest itself housing valuable healing herbs.
The second city was "Inhuman City" which was a city built on a large oasis that belonged to no faction and was in a desert, but the only caviat was that humans could not enter and such the holy knights of human armies would often attack the cities nearby settlements or sometimes the city itself. While it doesn't sound like an ideal city, Adam reasoned that the desert should house lots of scorpions and snaked, which he may be able to leverage into making his own lethal poisons from them. The constant human attacks does mean that Adam may become an enemy towards humans, but surely knights of foreign countries would have good loot, even if he had to fight tooth and nail to kill them.
The last city on Adam's list was Warrior Central, the official name was "Tophia", but it was a city where the only thing that mattered was strength. The city was in the middle of 2 mountains on the north and south, the east was a jungle and to the west was a swamp. The city was dangerous, the surroundings were dangerous, and even the lowest level dungeon in the town was a medium-rank dungeon meant for a team of players over level 20. Surely it would be dangerous, but Adam was sure that if he gritted his teeth and sat through it, the rewards would be immense and he would be able to level up quickly.
With thirty seconds left until game open, an archway with runes inscribed all over it started glowing blue and an interface opened asking which city he wants to go to.
