The Sun - War Of Gods Begins
Legion of Sun's angels

Legion of Sun's angels

Aurelion, The Sun God, observed the young man with a gaze that combined both the warmth of the sun and the cold detachment of a deity. The young man's initial nervousness faded as he gathered his composure, and he began his solemn proclamation beneath the radiant golden sun.

"My Lord," the young man began, his voice growing steady and reverent, "is known as the Almighty Sun. He emerged from the divine spirit at the dawn of the world. He is the embodiment of the sun, the unquenchable light and flame that drives away darkness and evil."

"He represents order, preventing the world from succumbing to chaos and depravity. He is also the guardian of commerce and overseer of contracts, the pure light that cleanses the world of its impurities."

Aurelion’s smile widened, a hint of vanity evident in his expression. "He indeed sounds formidable."

The young man's enthusiasm grew as he sensed genuine interest in the foreigner before him. "Indeed, my lord is mighty. During the cataclysm that ravaged the world, He descended with the other gods."

"He was the beacon of light that purified the world and safeguarded humanity with His power. It was through His benevolence that humans endured while other races perished."

"Those who followed Him founded the Kingdom of Valoria in the Ethereal Mountains. Thanks to His blessings, Valoria became one of the continent's most powerful realms."

Noting Aurelion’s reaction to the mention of the cataclysm, the young man paused briefly.

"Continue, please," Aurelion encouraged, redirecting the conversation.

The young man, though puzzled by the stranger’s demeanor, continued with fervor. "My lord resides in the golden sun that graces the heavens. His rays span across the earth, bestowing life and light upon all."

"There are four angels in His service:"

"The Angel of Light, cherished above all, endowed with a portion of our Lord’s divine authority. The Angel of Light is the most merciful and serves as the Lord’s closest representative."

"The Angel of knowlege, the very embodiment of knowledge they say. She records history and the mysteries of fate, having been among the first to follow our Lord. Her wisdom guided us through the post-cataclysmic turmoil."

"The Angel of Temperance, shrouded in mystery. Known by honorifics such as the Angel of Tears and the Angel of Duality, He is enigmatic and elusive."

"Finally, the Angel of Miracles, the embodiment of miraculous phenomena. As the Lord’s messenger, He is renowned for granting wishes to those who find Him, though only for a modest sum of five coins."

"Truly remarkable," Aurelion murmured with a sigh of admiration.

Encouraged by Aurelion’s reaction, the young man eagerly concluded, "I won’t take more of your time. If you wish to learn more, I invite you to visit the Cathedral of Dawn nearby. The mass has just ended, but there will be another at dusk. It will be an experience you won’t forget."

Aurelion’s expression remained unchanged as he nodded, his smile unwavering. "I will certainly attend the evening service."

Relieved at the success of his efforts, the young man turned to leave.

"Wait," Aurelion called, causing the young man to pause.

"Is something wrong, sir?" The young man’s voice carried a trace of anxiety, recalling the stern warnings from his church school about potential complaints.

Aurelion, sensing his unease, laughed gently. "No cause for concern, Lian."

"Wait, how do you know my name?" the young man asked almost instinctively.

But then Lian’s eyes widened as he felt an eerie familiarity, similar to the irresistible compulsion he experienced in the presence of the high priest. This sense of awe and compulsion was now mirrored in his encounter with Aurelion.

"Do not worry, lian" Aurelion said softly, his voice dissolving Lucas’s fear and filling him with tranquility.

"Accept this as a token of appreciation." Aurelion produced a coin adorned with a golden sun symbol and tossed it to Lian. The coin shimmered with a radiant light before dimming.

Lian caught the coin, though his initial impulse was to refuse. "I cannot accept this, sir. It is against..."

Aurelion’s deep voice cut through his protest. "You may keep it. It might even protect you from future misfortune."

Despite his reservations, Lian accepted the coin, though he managed to regain enough composure to ask, "May I know your name, sir?"

Aurelion was momentarily taken aback by the question. "It has been a long time since anyone inquired about my name," he replied quietly.

"But surely, Don't you already know who I am Lian," Aurelion said with a mysterious smile.

Lucas was struck with a profound realization. Despite his extended conversation with the enigmatic figure, he had been unable to fully recall his features. Now, as he scrutinized Aurelion more closely, his eyes widened with shock and awe.

"You... you are..." lucas stammered, his voice trembling.

"If fate permits, Lian, we shall meet again," Aurelion said, his tone carrying an air of finality.

With a snap of his fingers, a blinding light enveloped Lian's vision, and the world around him vanished into brilliance.

Aurelion rose from the bench, his gaze fixed on Lian's form as it dissolved into shimmering particles of light, carried away by the breeze. In an instant, Lian was teleported back to his church school.

Aurelion strolled along the path leading to the city's outskirts, arriving at the vast wheat fields. The golden expanse stretched toward the snowy peaks of the Antal Mountains, the wheat swaying rhythmically in the wind. The golden rays of the sun bathed the fields in an ethereal light, making them gleam like molten gold.

Occasionally, workers with scythes tended to the overgrown wheat, their movements steady and deliberate. Aurelion stood on a muddy, rocky road, taking in the breathtaking scenery. The serene beauty stirred his adventurous spirit, a reminder of why he preferred walking to teleportation.

Turning away from the fields, Aurelion addressed the empty road before him.

"You can Come out now, Orion," he called out, his voice resonating along the quiet path.

In response, the golden sunlight began to shift, turning into pure white feathers of light. These feathers coalesced into two majestic wings, and a figure materialized between them. As the light dimmed, the figure was revealed as a man.

He was a strikingly handsome figure with short, neatly kept blonde hair and glowing blue eyes. Clad in a golden-layered white cloak, his demeanor was both gentle and respectful.

Orion Reyes, the Angel of Light, appeared.

"My Lord," Orion bowed deeply, his tone filled with solemn respect. "I hope I am not intruding."

Aurelion regarded his most loyal angel with a look of approval. Orion had lost his family to a demonic wolf's remnants, on the brink of death when Aurelion intervened. Aurelion had taken him in, recognizing the boy's inherent connection to the sun’s power and his potential. Orion had rapidly ascended to angelhood and now devoted his loyalty to Aurelion with unwavering dedication.

"You are not a disturbance," Aurelion assured him, shaking his head with a smile. "I was merely appreciating the beauty of this kingdom you and your brethren have built. It is magnificent," he said, his eyes reflecting genuine admiration.

Aurelion, once distant and indifferent due to his divine nature, now felt a renewed vibrancy in his humanity.

"It was our duty, my Lord," Orion murmured, his voice humble despite the praise he received from his revered deity. His body remained bowed, a gesture of deep respect, though he could sense a shift in Aurelion’s demeanor—something warmer, more personal, and less distant than usual.

Aurelion’s sigh broke through the silence, carrying with it a rare note of weariness. "Do not be so modest, Orion." The words were light, but there was an edge of insistence. Aurelion had grown familiar with the necessity of compromise—adapting his ancient ways to the shifting currents of mortal affairs, even when it grated against him.

"Stand up," Aurelion commanded gently, watching his devoted acolyte bowing still, as if reluctant to meet his gaze.

Orion straightened slowly, posture rigid and alert, prepared to discuss the matters at hand. Yet before he could speak, Aurelion lifted a hand, silencing him with a subtle but firm gesture.

"Not here," Aurelion said, his voice smooth yet laced with caution. "Let us find a place where prying eyes cannot reach us."

Orion furrowed his brow, puzzled. "But, my Lord, this is your domain. No place is safer than here. Your authority is woven into the very fabric of this kingdom."

Aurelion chuckled softly, though there was no humor in it. "Perfection eludes even gods, Orion. Though this realm bends to my will, nothing remains invulnerable. An astute mind can always find cracks." His golden eyes glimmered with quiet understanding, as if revealing that even divinity carries burdens of imperfection.

Turning with a deliberate pace, Aurelion motioned for Orion to follow him toward a more secluded space. As they walked, his tone grew heavier, tinged with seriousness. "I assume you have gathered the information I requested from our agents in the Azazeil Empire?"

Orion gave a slight nod. "Yes, my Lord. Though Azazeil’s influence is… complicated. His domain weaves into every corner of his empire."

Aurelion’s expression darkened slightly, though his words remained measured. "And we are navigating his web under his very nose. Caution, Orion. Never assume that our knowledge makes us immune to danger."

The weight of Aurelion's gaze bore down on Orion, who swallowed hard. The intensity in his deity’s glowing eyes made it clear: even gods could not afford complacency. "Though your reverence honors me, do not let it cloud your judgment. I am not omnipotent, no matter what you may believe."

The truth settled over Orion like a heavy cloak. He felt small beneath his lord's gaze, the full weight of divine imperfection pressing against his understanding. "Forgive me, my Lord," Orion whispered, trembling slightly as he dipped his head in submission.

Aurelion’s expression softened. He placed a reassuring hand on Orion’s shoulder. "Very well. Let us proceed."

With a single snap of his fingers, Aurelion’s form shimmered, and they dissolved into fragments of golden light, scattering like dust on the wind.
