Far from the lands of the mortals, in a remote part of the Elven kingdoms, there is a vast forest. it is simply known as The Sylvian Forest and depending on where in it you are, it is a relatively peaceful place. Brightly lit by the sun and home to many wild plants and animals it gives of a calm feeling of nature. And it is here, that Taria was sedately picking wild herbs that she felt necessary for the cooking she had planned for later, when a disturbance was sensed. Her head whipped around in time to view a flock of birds take flight into the air from the canopy of the trees. She stared into the depths of the Forest, in the direction the flock had left from. Her eyes narrowed and abruptly she knelt to to forest floor and began to gather her staff and bag from their resting place among the greenery. Vengeful thoughts burned through her head as she stood back up.
"I won't let this happen again, I've lost to much to the bastard creatures".
She strode in a cloud of rage into the depths of the trees.
A pair of large eyes with blue irises, peered into the clearing. Taria was feeling more confused by the minute, she knew the sudden burst of energy had come from here, but there was nothing... wait wait something's happening. A huge tear suddenly rent across the center of the clearing in a cascade of red sparks. A huge red-scaled Demon carrying a massive greatsword that dripped fire staggered backwards out of the portal into the clearing. Taria stared in awe of the sheer bloodlust the thing exuded. Only to fall backwards in horror at what came forth afterwards. It appeared an armored knight dressed in plate metal that seemed to be painted in void. It sucked the light and life out of the surrounds. The contours of the armour only visible due to the encrusted blood that was striped across the chest plate. In it's right hand it carried a sword made of the same material which it then leveled at the red Demon.
"WHERE, IN YOUR PATHETIC ATTEMPT AT FLEEING, HAVE YOU BROUGHT US DAEMON".
Taria shuddered at the eldritch voice that issued from the metal visor of the helmet. It was smooth yet powerful and seemed to bypass the ears and reroute directly to the brain, truly deserving of all caps. The red Demon gave nought for a reply except for low growl foreshadowing its sudden rush at the black knight. The sudden pounding of feet as the red Demon sprinted toward the knight shook the trees around the clearing, but the knight was unfazed and merely drew his sword back in preparation to meet the demon head on. A great array of sparks flew as the Demons greatsword was parried and the subsequent flurry of counter attacks from the knight forced it on the defensive. Slowly but surely the Demons attempts at defense were brushed away before the knights superior swordplay, and finally the great creature was slain. The knight stood over the corpse of the Demon as if in contemplation before a sudden rush of breath drew his attention to a bush that had never looked so innocuous before in its life.

Taria swore under her breath before standing up from the bush, staff at the ready, to confront the being. As it strode across the clearing she readied her defensive wards in preparation before pointing her staff at the enemy.
"And what manner of filth or foul creature are you Demon"
The black armored knight stopped to consider her question before delivering his response,
" YOUR DISGUSTING ACCUSATION FALLS ON DEAF EARS WITCH, WHO ARE YOU TO ACCUSE ME OF BEING A DEMON WHEN YOU COMMIT HERESY BEFORE ME"
he thundered. Taria creased her eyebrows in confusion at its statement.
"Heresy? What the hell are you talking about... wait I've heard of this are you from the chur-Shit!!?"
Her question cut short as the black knight leaned back and swung its sword in a massive overarm swing into the ground. Unleashing a massive black shockwave that cleaved the ground in front of the swing in two. Taria watched in fright as it ripped through her defensive wards before she leapt to the side allowing the shock wave to pass harmlessly by.
"NOW YOU SAY I AM OF THE CHURCH, THERE ARE NOUGHT GODS BUT THE FALSE!!!, DAMNIT WITCH I WILL RIP YOU TO SHR- AARHG!"
A sudden gout of blood streamed from a laceration in the knights midriff. It fell with a thump to its knees. Its head fell backwards on its shoulders. And there it sat for moment staring at the sky. Even from where she lay Taria could here the knight mumble,
"by the Emperor the sky it, it's blue..."
With another great thump he fell forward.
