Alex PoV

When I walked into the city it was just how I remembered it, full of life and people that had a cheerful aura all across the street with children playing around. Well, it's like they always say, if there is a light side to the story than there will always be a dark side to it. 

And the dark side of the Torian capital, is that it was home to big underground secret organization, criminals, Assassin Guild and other things that infect every other big city around. But not as much towards this city than other because of the purge that Queen Rose did to limit the amount of pests that roam the street and as procedures of the Torian rule is that they were to be judge under the High Courts of Toria. 

That was also one of the reason why the Assassin Guild that had me under their control wanted me to kill her. The goal was to kill the Queen and limit the amount destruction caused by her purge of the underground.  I had a feeling that it wasn't all to it and made me wonder what their alternative goal was. Maybe, they were under the orders of a bigger organization to do it. The goal was probably something like taking over the entire country sort of thing as it wouldn't make sense if you killed the ruler and no one to governing it creating chaos.

No, what I am thinking is that the Assassin Guild that had me in their possession, was also associated with a even larger organization. That is if the Assassin Guild still exist after the many years that pass by after I died trying to do the impossible. It probably isn't alive after the Queen's purged it. So, what use is there to worry about something that is either destroyed or is absorbed into another organization. 

That doesn't matter but what does is the fact that the guy with the mask I think his name was Suno, is probably going to do something big. My assassination instincts are screaming at me that he is planning something big but I don't know anything about it at all. Maybe, I am overacting but trusting my assassin's institution had helped me survive a lot of life or death situations. Well, most of them...

{Flashback}

"The plan was going very well, until the Queen who looked super young for her age had caught us in a trap I wasn't able to escape.

{Back to Alex}

Hmmm that was someone else talking totally not me saying those very words. Anyway, me and my mom were moving our stuff into a house we bought in the commoner district with the left over money that we made at the village and just had enough to move to the city. Well, I helped moved in stuff since I am much stronger than her and it help speed things up.

Mom showered me with a warm smiled while I picked up a chair and put it near the table.

"Hey, Alex do you have any plans you have after we move in?"-Anise

My mom asked me with a smile on her face, while she elegantly sat down on the chair that was put down by her. I also sat on the chair opposite to her with a table between us that was made out of white wood that came from the forest near the village. 

"Mom, you already know that I have plans to do something big after we set up the house and it will take a long time so... sorry mom!"-Alex

I said right back to her and she still smiled to her with my head focused on my goals of gaining information about a masked figure. But how am I going to do that? He should be in the capital roaming the streets at the moment with whatever plans that is going through his head. I have no idea where his base of operation is but I will use whatever means to find him and destroy him before he destroyed me.

I walked out of my home not before saying my good byes before I leave to gather information on my opponent that would probably threaten this happy moments I have with my mom.

Anise PoV

"Really, my own son hiding the fact that he is trying to pick a fight with a being that is far superior than him in every way."-Anise

I wonder, if this lesson will teach him not to fight with people way stronger than him, who basically outclass him in every category. Well, it looks like Alex is going to face a lot of problems if he is fighting a monster that is on a whole entire new level. That person can be compared to the highest general in our military who specializes in the sword.

I just hope he doesn't get himself killed and if he is in any danger I will save him no matter what the cost is.vAnd what happened to that one immortal who we planted into the academy to search for the spear Zenith? I wonder if he got any results yet and any information of a notable students who attend the academy. 

That guy is a sadistic who does things that would make me disagree with the kind of technique he uses to get information in the most horrible way possible. He would make his victims scream till he is satisfied and than burn their whole body to get rid of the evidence. He then would cleans it up with some strange magic that makes things go back to normal. It may be inhumane but it's very effective and useful when the time comes for torture.

I sigh and look at my own body and my process it as someone horrible enough to trick the boy into thinking that I am actually his real mother who is died. I found him in a abandoned manor when I was investigating the area, looking through the place I heard crying noises coming from a room upstairs and climbed it to find a boy in a basket.

I took care of him as it reminded of me when I wanted a baby of my own. I wanted a child with my husband, but I became a widow after he died as an excited adventurer who had never learned about my secret when I was out on my mission. I thought that Alex was a extremely fast learner as he was able to read, write, math, and fight at a high level.

It made me happy when he improved as he learned new technique to achieve his goal and I cared for him like a real son, sometime I find his learning speed unnatural. 

Also, it seems like my some of the people that are the same rank as me don't like me having a child and told me to abandon him to a orphanage. I was able to convince them, by telling them I can act as a mother and son that are traveling around the Torian country to make it less suspicious.

I looked through the door way where my son, Alex had gone through with every bit of seriousness and killer intent that he left in the dusk. I frown and looked at my son's back who already has killer intent at his age. I took a book on the table and started reading it with the title 'The Unfortunate Demon Lord' it was about a demon from one of their multiple tribes that wanted to create a better future by uniting all the demons under one flag, but was attacked by the human nations.

Individuals with sentient are strange beings as they have these feeling that could lead to hatred between each other and too untrusting to even consider if the person is friend or foe. Will that happen to Alex if I were to tell him I wasn't his real mother or how I used him to mix in with the crowd to get into different places in this country to not cause too much suspicion.

I waited for a bit, scanning the area before speaking to the man right behind me.

"So, what do you want?"-Anise

I didn't turn around as I took a sip out of the tea that I placed on the table.

"Well, I was wondering when we are going to start the plan Anise Wesmin of the 4 Council Members of Mondora."-???

I sigh a deep one before talking yet again to him.

"You already know when a certain events happens we will start the plan and the requirements are not finish for the plan to be in the okay."-Anise

All of this was set up by none other than our little princess when she was younger.

"I always wondered why the princess wanted me to stay here for long periods of time. Now, I understand something big is going on and I just hope that Alex doesn't get himself killed while I am away on my job also I still have a lot of work when I get back to Mondora."-Anise

The shadowy figure behind me disappeared before saying one last.

"Hey, at least you don't have to do all the boring Council Member paperwork when you are here, think of it as a long break."-???

I chuckled to myself before looking out at the window that leads to the outside world.

"Maybe, you are right."-Anise

Alex PoV

I try my best to find the masked figure multiple times but without any luck as I go into dead ends. I searched through the underground but nothing was found by me doing so and made me go for a more straightforward approached and looked around the entire commoner part of the city.

My other plan was to go through the noble district and found nothing like usual and gave up my search there and gone back to the commoner part once again. I thought for a couple of seconds in my brain 'maybe I need some teammates' as it would be extremely difficult to find someone of that caliber without someone that can help me along the way.

I can also try to fight him in a straight forward fight but I will probably lose if I do so. All of this leads to my last answer as the sun rises up and it was about time for me to go back to my house. That was when I sense a insanely powerful aura off into the distance far away but I take my chances and rush there. 

Using my assassin skill I jump building to building with utmost speed until I reached outside of the detention range of just about anyone. I wait in the shadow of a building and used my magic enhance eyes to spot someone similar to the guy I am trying to kill.

This person wore the same slit mask and black clothing of the person name Suno but I think they are unrelated because my instinct tell me it's another assassin. And this one is a Grandmaster assassin as the speed and stealth is almost incomparable to anyone I ever met. As I swallowed my saliva since I almost missed the person if I wasn't entirely focused on the small amount of aura this person is producing. I looked around where he/she was moving and saw the person approaching another group of assassins.

It was a team of 6 assassins heading towards a certain place while releasing their killing intent and whatnot, which is a noob mistake thing to do when you are an assassin. The Grandmaster assassin appear behind one of them and I saw a neck get cracked instantly while the person pulled out a dagger and stab everyone without stop. It would of take me a much longer to fight these guys as most of them are all Expert rank.

I looked upon this massacre as everyone died, but one person who was left alive probably to get some information. The assassin knocked the guy out and picked up the body which I think is going to be brought out to the Grandmaster's hideout. Does this person accept people for hire? If yes than my chances of success against that lone individual skyrocket to a new league. 

All I need to do now is just confront the person and ask what I want. That is if the person accepts my request than good, but if the person attacks me than bad. I will take a risk that it will end with me dead but I still want to do it. I breathe in and out until the Grandmaster took out all the assassin and I walked toward the dead bodies.

"Why is an assassin like you interrupting another ones work?"-Alex

I asked to not sound hostile and to see if the person attacks me and to find out the person goal.

"So, what do you want?"-???

The voice sounded like a girl so I will it a her now. And she wants to get to the point of me asking about her goal and what I want.

"So, I want you to help me kill a person."-Alex

I asked since it might be possible to help out this person and she will help me out in my quest to kill a person that was deemed dangerous by my assassin instinct. Well, I shouldn't trust it that much but you know for today I trust it.

"And who might this person be?"-???

I looked up in the sky since I felt like I am taking a monument moment in my life. 

"A person that wears a mask and I think he was called Suno."-Alex

For some reason, she jumped a little before talking back to me.

"Can you tell me why you want to kill him?"-???

I looked at her and began to talk about my reasoning for wanting this Suno dead.

"I just feel like he is threatening me in someway I can't predict like he is planning something when I first meet him."-Alex

She looks at me and contemplating what I told her about him. Her eyes look straight back at me and waits for a little bit before she started talking.

"Hmmmmm that guy does sound threaten but what makes you think I would help you?"-???

I breathe in and out before I continue what I was about to say.

"I will do anything for you."-Alex

There was this long silence neither of us said anything at all while the wind suddenly stopped.

"Y-you are serious?"-???

She said while kicking her voice broke up here and there.

"Of course if you want me to give you my body I will be happy to do so."-Alex

At that moment I think time froze for at least a couple of second before she began to talk.

"Anyway, why don't you talk to the guy. If you think he is as troublesome as your instinct say than I am sure as hell sure that he wouldn't kill you on the spot."-???

I thought for a second in my mind 'well why the hell not it's not like I will get attacked instantly the first time he meets me, I did attack him the first time we met and maybe I should be apologizing and she will help me anyway so...'

Well there is also that chance she is tricking me to get me towards him and ambush me but I highly doubt that but you never know.

"Fine, I will go to him but I have no idea where he is at."-Alex

The girl looks around herself for some reason before her eyes fall back on me.

"Very well, why don't I protect you at my place while we search for the person you are looking for maybe stay for tonight."-???

I would like to stay but I have to tell my mom before doing so. On second thoughts, I remember my mom has a job to do in the morning so I will tell her tomorrow.

"By the way where are we going?"-Alex

We started jumping roof top to roof top.

"To an inn nearby here so let's get going."-???

Oh yea I forgot to mention my name and ask her name.

"My name is Alex, who might you be?"-Alex

I said while I bow to the girl that stopped to look at me.

"My name is Lilith, so can you stop with the formality."-Lilith

The girl said to me before taking me along with her to the inn she talked about. Well, sorry mom it looks like I will have to get home by tomorrow hope you are doing fine at your job.

Suno PoV

I got extremely pissed off at Kana for not telling me and tricked me to go along with her ploy but whatever I accepted it all ends well. So, what does a couple do? Do they take each on dates and talk about pretty things or something along those lines. Well, I just need to test Kana when it comes to this stuff or else she is basically lying.

"Why don't we do a mock fight if you say that you are programmed to fight than."-Suno

"Y-yes h-honey, I will f-fight you and s-show you my p-power."-Kana

She always stutter when talking it's actually pretty cute but we need to actually see if she will get used to fighting anyway.

I take my stance as Kana take a more range stance instead of the close combat quarter she was taking a little bit earlier. I first set up multiple barriers for both magic and physical to defend off against her wave of attacks that is going to be coming my way.

She prepares her weapons and look at me square in the eye as if analyzing all my patterns or tricks to combat me. Kana wrist open up and I see a hole and a rectangle like shape shoot multiple projectiles that come right at me. 

Using my magic barriers I deflect each shot like it's nothing and wait for the next wave of attacks to come my way. But the damage that it did to my shield is unmeasurable, as I manipulate the oxygen in the air to form a water like substance to slow down the momentum that the magic bullets shoot. 

I use what little I do know about lighting magic and shoot a charge of [Lighting spear] and formed up a colossal amount of [Ice Arrows] before shoot them off into her direction. All of them lock on to Kana and head after her, but they are either blocked by the barriers that she made or is shot down by her magic bullets.

I saw this and thought it was annoying how she can do all of it without breaking a sweat. Certainly a very aggravating enemy for magicians but I need to do something big or else I will lose a lot more mana than what I already have at the moment. And I haven't brought any mana crystals to use keep my mana at all times high.

I contemplate all my options until I have what seems like I have but very few as either one will make me lose. So, I go for the one that gives me the highest chance of success. I hardly ever say any chants because it's not necessary for me to do so and I can easily reproduce the process by only using my memory. But it seems like I will have to do it this one time.

"[Constellation Star Fall]"-Suno

I said and everything stops for one moment as what seems to be a tiny drip of water falling from the sky but looks can be deceiving as it hits the ground. Bright light flashes everywhere as it blinds me and Kana. I opened my eyes to see destruction everywhere and the trees from before are all wiped cleaned off with Kana standing before me with one barrier still standing. 

I have about half my mana left as that took a large amount out of me but I still have just about enough to continue the fight. Kana waves her hand into air to show that she given up.

"O-okay honey I give up you win."-Kana

I looked at her and sighed in relief as it seems like it didn't her one bit.

"Well, sorry for doing that but you were just too strong."-Suno

I said at that point since I got serious and fought her like that.

"I-it's okay honey, see I didn't get hurt so don't worry."-Kana

She said as she skips around and go towards the exit door all nearby. I thought for second she is pretty damn strong and she didn't even use all her weapons since I pulled my trump card earlier on. Wait! Didn't I also programmed her with the ability [Absolute Defense] that can basically block most of my moves? You are quite the tricky person Kana even though you don't act like it.

And so walked towards the training area for all my servants there. Maybe she can even beat Marion who knows but I know one thing for sure she is stronger and tricker than what she seems.
